Enough with these corporate entitlement programs!!!! We are rewarding poor behavior and teaching our American companies to become reliant on the taxpayers. When companies know they have a "safety net" they will gamble more, risk more and lose more. Then when the bill comes do, we'll have to pay more.

The reasons American auto manufacturers are dead  are as follows; 1) the crushing load placed on the manufacturer brought about the high cost of union labor, and 2) impossible safety/environmental standards the manufacturers must meet in order to sell cars in America.

If we refuse to bail out the auto companies, two things will occur,1) They will file for bankruptcy protection, and reorganize or merge with other companies, and 2) they can get out from under the Unions. Unionized American products, eventhough they may be manufacture to a higher standard can not compete with lower cost imports. Let the Auto manufactures fail, let capitalism work.America is stronger when our corporations compete. Survival of the fittest.

Seems bass ackwards doesn't it?

Drive up the cost of operation till it is no longer profitable for some companies to operate, then, bail them out when they begin to fail? Not to mention the jobs we are driving overseas.

There is a fine line somewhere as far as unions, taxation and EV restrictions are concerned. We must find it, and stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

We take too much money from them, then, give it back (and more) in a bail-out?

Unions are a funny thing. They were developed to protect workers rights. The problems are that they are now an exclusive group. You have to know someone to get in and are sure to get better than average wages if you get the job. If you are a teacher you can hold a community hostage to get free healthcare and higher pay. The only ones that do not make a lot of money basically work in war zones. They protect not only those who actually need help, but all the deadbeats. They generally operate under seniority and not ability. An idiot can make huge money just turning a knob just because he has been there the longest. I have lost my job in the past because the major company I worked for went out of the country for cheaper labor and to get away from the union. Look at the issues we just had with labor at Philadelphia’s new Convention Center addition. It almost shut down the whole thing because of the costs. Let's not even mention how violent they get if they find out a business hired non-union labor. There are plenty of labor laws now that were not in existence when labor unions began and I personally think they should do away with them. What will it take for everyone to see that they are a problem? I think fear has something to do with it. You know what will happen to you if you go against them - right Mr. Hoffa?

Once proud unions, the protector of the working man, are now simply tools of the democratic party. In other words...'day hoe's'..

Are you a republican? Do you belong to a labor union?....

Guess what...Your 'dues' were spent on electing Barack Obama to the presidency of the United States ....

However, you can recoup that money by law!!

A Union CANNOT SPEND YOUR DUES ON A CANDIDATE THAT YOU DO NOT SUPPORT...

You can recoup those dues...legally!!

The big three are failing because of the latest tactic of union busting. We are being pushed into this global competetion that we can not win. To beat foreign countries, we have to pay our employees the same wages. This push to compete without fair trade regulations by our government forces middle class failure and get's the rich, richer. Those who rely on their stock protfolio as income, can easily move from domestic companies, to foreign companies. The money is still green, no matter what country is making it for them. So how do I feal about this. Unions are killing our country, and those in power and with money are attacking the unions, at the cost of our country. Both sides are wrong, selfish, and attending to the destruction of our economy.
