OK

what is up with Metro Buses?  Why do they drive so fast?  On our way to work today we witnessed a Metro Bus driving down Forest Park Boulevard west bound like it was going to a fire.  We called Metro and they stated, we will look into it.  Funny that is what they said 2 months ago when the same bus was driving the same way.....I guess Metro wants a lawsuit when one of their bus drivers kills someone because they feel the need to drive so fast?

When I use to ride Bi-State (in the good old days) for high school I noticed the driving. There were the buses that were behind schedule, they would pick up the speed to get back on schedule. You had to hold on tight and make sure you rang the buzzer long so they wouldn't pass up your stop. If a bus was ahead of schedule they would move so slow.

OK, first I would like to say that as an a American I am highly offended by your name, "mini cooper", as an American why would you choose to use the name of an imported vehicle, don't you realize our economy has crashed due to imports?.

On the subject of Metro, like flaglady said they are on a schedule,if they are so called "speeding" they would be ahead of schedule, I am willing to bet everything I own, (which are American made products), that it is you who is driving slow, those folks on them buses have places to be.

To actually take the time to call Metro and make a complaint about a union driver shows the world that you are a nosy meddling busy body. Another thing, if these buses are speeding it is a police force responsibility, they have the training and the radar guns to prove it in the courts.

QUIT COMPLAINING WILL YA?

Yeah, they speed and some are terrible drivers. A few years ago maybe five or so they were allegedly self-insured. There were numerous accidents and I kept hearing self-insured. As for bad driving though, you see lots of public services doing this including cops, ambulances, taxis, and city vehicles. As for complaining about a union driver who gives a ratsass a driver is a driver.

dodgeramman I would bet you have numerous non-american products you have purchased. If you are so offended by mini coopers name then don't respond to his blogs.

"make a complaint about a union driver shows the world that you are a nosy meddling busy body" Where do you get off saying that? If a driver is driving dangerously anyone has a right to call and speak up.

What the heck do imports have to do with Metro driving poorly on this issue? FYI I own a new Maxima and Altima and very proud of it. The only mistake I might have made was not buying an Accord this time.

Should I have pity on you since you drive a Dodge Ram - one of the lower residual vehicles on the streets in it's class? Nope - it's your choice.

Making a complaint against a "union" driver is and should be the same as reporting a "non-union" driver - WHO CARES - COMPLAIN! I take it you (dodgedude) are a union worker than MUST buy American ... newsflash Dodge Ram imports foreign parts also.

Now, back to the blog - yes complain about those bad drivers!

Hey mincooper I sure don't know why your blog likes to repeat everthing I say. I think I am blind in one eye and can't see out the other. At a glance I thought your name was minicooper, here all the time it is mincooper. So sorry for getting your name wrong.

Speedy, maybe dodgeramman name means "dodger" as in draft dodger and last or first name is amman. LOL

The bus drivers I have talked with complain that the schedule is too tight for them. They say that the schedule was done by approximations between stops and to end of the route. Bus drivers have a difficult job to do! They have to contend with other drivers, problematic passengers and an administration who could care less about them!

the4th: When someone wants it dished up then life gives it to them. As for bragging - you're damn right I am bragging. LOL.

Until you drive near these buses all day in/out of traffic, you have no idea what they do and don't do. Nearly all drivers are probably pretty good but it just takes that one bad driver to cause havoc.

Now, the4thstooge, do you feel better that the Cardinals finally surpassed last years wins? Another question, would you really classify Nissan as an import?

I was gonna say the same thing stooge. That speedo sure gets into it but by looking at his biograph I see whay. I do agree tho with one thing even if your schedule is tight that should not cause one to drive all crazy and stuff. If everybody just watch the road and drive the speed limit we'd all be fine.

For people on a tight schedule , I sure see an awful lot of them waiting to leave at proper times throughout the city daily.

They drive exactly as I would expect given the mandatory hiring practices they have.
Same goes for most of the Civil jobs in this area , if not the country.
You have to hire based on criteria , not the best applicants.
Get rid of that practice , you'll see tremendous improvements.

Dodger ,
The industry is failing due to greedy , under worked , overpaid employees collecting paychecks instead of doing the job with pride while being supported by a corrupt self serving union organization.
Ours is a narcissistic , apathetic , super affluent society with little or no concern for any one or anything but self serving and promotion.

It amazes me the jealiousy of the lay people, how DARE you folks run down the blood sweat and tears of labor in America, it is obvious to me that none of you are current on any of American history.
Our labor unions have set the standard for all labor, even non-union wages are compared to union wages.Just look at the illegal workers, look how they are treated. So SIMMA DOWN NOW, it is not my fault that you folks are working these meaningless, useless, overworked, underpaid jobs in which you have to kiss the bosses rear end to keep the job that you hate anyways.

lol mr dodgeman ya speaking to the choir...not all of us are union as yourself...we work where we can find work and whether its fifty an hour doing non-union consulting or twenty-two an hour on an assembly line...its work...even at seven fifty an hour its still labor...most of us know the backbone to american work ethic its just that we need to abide by it still...

Wow , jealous?? Envious??
I think not.
Ashamed is more like it.
You would be , in my mind , a classic example of what's wrong with this country.
