Happy 4th of July everyone!  Today we celebrate our independence.  We have a lot to celebrate and I hope most of us will  take a few minutes to count those blessings.  Yes, there will those that will grumble about everything from the price of gas to whatever they let irk them today.  Take a few minutes and think of all the freedoms we do enjoy and be thankful!

Happy 4th and keep safe but have some fun too!

Hi PastorD, hope you are doing well! I'm not better yet, but I plan to be. My brain and heart keeps telling me that every little thing is going to be okay, so I believe it will be.

Happy 4th to you and I hope it is a great day for you and yours!

"Long time, no see" (avatar). May I join you in wishing every American citizen joyous celebration on the single most important day in our history. Imagine what a dreary world this would be had it never happened. Happy Birthday Americans!

My 4th could have been a lot better if we had not had neighbors that had illegal fireworks and thought it was just wonderful to set them off. Don't get me wrong I love the 4th as much as the next person BUT when you have an autistic child that is terrified of loud noises then it's not so fun anymore. Thats why we stayed home so we wouldn't have to worry about this and now our son was scared to pieces in his own home. This might be funny to some but if it was your child and you could see the fear in this childs face you would not be laughing. Maybe next year we won't have to deal with this but as long as these people are gonna sneak these things in I really doubt it. Can't change my son as much as I wish I could. Just wish people would obey the law.

Michelle, I had a wonderful week, celebrating Canada Day in Ottawa, and then heading to the Kawartha Lakes to celebrate the 4th with some friends - some American, some Canadian and a few who are dual citizens like myself.

Between the riverfront home, the pool, the hot tub, and plenty of ice and JD, it was a most pleasant visit.

I do have a problem with celebrating our "freedoms" which seem to have diminished a great deal since 9/11. My favorite bumper sticker shows Osama Bin Laden and it says "I'm still free. What about you?"

Having recently accepted the nomination of a fellow blogger to run for President I felt it was appropriate to update my profile. I have lived in Florida for a long time, but have lived in 13 States in total. I feel that having lived in a quarter of the states I am qualifed to be President. I do have a political affilialtion, however that is not important, I will do what is best. If you contribute to my campaign I promise to make promises that you want to hear!!!! If you don't vote for me, don't vote for anyone, no sense in wasting your time!
