I just wanted to send my condolences to the Amanda White family and her friends. I haven't heard about the man in the accident, but my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family also.
For those of you that don't know what i am talking about...Amanda White died in a train/car crash in Huntington Township South of Wellington on Saturday, July 14th. We own DaNells' Pizza on Main St. in Wellington and were looking on as all the emergency vehicles roared by...when that happens, we know it's not good news.

Here's a brief summary first, just in case some haven't heard about it:
David Kowalczyk, owner of Granny D's Pizza in Lorain, was shot and killed in his shop June 23rd. 3 suspects have been arrested believing to be involved in his murder along with other robberies in the area recently. David was 43 years young and a very loved member of the community.
My boyfriend knew Dave for over 20 years. They were good friends. I missed the news on that Sunday night and went home to look at this website to see if i had missed anything that day. And there it was....Top News....Pizza Shop Murder. Of course, after seeing this and being totally devastated by it, we continued to watch the news to find out more. But there was definately a lack of coverage on his murder. On ALL stations. IF it was even mentioned at all, it was only for about 10 seconds. We were very upset by this. The man was MURDERED! But he was hidden in Jessie Davis' shadow. Please do not think that i have any lack of emotion for the jessie davis family. I was very heartbroken for her and her family also. It's just that Dave meant a lot to a lot of people too. I just feel that he was slighted. This happened a week ago and there were still people as of yesterday in lorain county that still knew nothing about it. I apologize if this does not interest you, i just feel like this was something i needed to do for him. Plus it makes me feel better to vent a little.
If anyone knew David Kowalczyk or if you were a customer of his and would like to visit his gravesite, he is buried at Calvary Cematary on Broadway Ave. in Lorain.
