Okay, not so much a warning but a piece of advice.

Yesterday they had to haul my Mom to St. Mary's. Her blood sugar went dangerously low in the morning. Her appetite was off and not eating enough. Still taking her normal dose of Lantus, a type of insulin.

She was not monitoring her blood glucose levels close enough.

Check it often people. If you are like me and my mom, having to take long acting insulin you sometimes get complacent. DON"T! It can kill you. I know it is a pain, literally, but it is extremely important. Low blood glucose levels, if not caught quickly, can lead to coma, which can lead to death. Keep some quick form of sugar handy. There are solutions you can get at any drug store or just simply orange juice. The danger is when it gets so low that you can not even swallow.

If this happens call 911 immediatley! They have glucose on the rescue vehicle that they can inject through a IV.

By the way, Mom is fine now. Her Lantus has been cut back.

2 years ago today I retired from the Air Force.

I must say, I miss it.

I have been reading about the Scott airshow next weekend.

Sounds like a good time, plus it is free. They are going to have many displays, including the B-1 bomber, C-17, P-51 and a rare LC-130. Plus flight demos by the thunderbirds, warbirds and our own B-25 Show Me.

Hope to see you there. You could not keep me away for anything short of a war!

I am finding it quite hilarious that there are some that think we black folk hold so much power over the white folk.

When did this happen? Why was I not informed by the black community? If we hold so much power over the whites, where is it.

Sure, we all know about the NAACP's massive force. The United Negro College Fund that puts us all through college, The Missouri black expo that showed us how to control all buisiness in Missouri and how Obama is going to make us all kings and queens.

Ah yes, we are also a bunch of racists. We all hate white people.

Give me a break. Sure, there are some blacks that are wastes of perfectly good oxygen. There are whites and indians and asians and arabs that are also.

We have the same dreams and desires. We are not so different that some want to think.

At one time on these blogs I said I would avoid anything to do with race. Well, I could not help myself. I had to write this because I am sick and tired of race being brought up so much recently. I try to make jokes about it, but it is no longer funny to me.

So the State Department wants us to be PC when refering to terrorists now.

Okay. Here is my not so PC term for them.

Apparently I am a dumb Jig. What type of Jig I may ask. The type used in woodworking? Or the type of sail on a boat? How about the one used for forming the sides of a guitar?

It can't be because I am, GASP, a well tanned human being could it!
