1926MISS'S,

You mean to tell me that I was a slave? By you're count, being born in 1957 I would have been.

Blacks were freed in 1865, in case you have forgotten you're schooling. John McCains daddy owned blacks???? Man, he was an old fart. His pops was a honorable Admiral in the Navy, as was his grandpa.

Also, there were white slaves. They were called indentured servants. In case you do not know what that means. They were servants to rich folk or factories or what have you until they could buy their way out of servitude. Most could not, because they kept adding to what they would have to pay to do so.

Is there racism? Yup, sure is. But I would bet my last dollar that racists are not all that common. They just get the attention, because they look so dang foolish. And it is not just whites that are racist. It is blacks, asians, whites, arabs and Native Americans, who actually have a good reason to be.

I just can not think of anything else to say here. I am still laughing to hard!

1926Miss is in the habit of writing blogs that don't allow anyone to respond. They are usually outrageous, incorrect ramblings or they're so vague you can't figure out what it's about.

The most recent is a claim that since John McCain is 71 years old his father surely had slaves.

One of my ancestors had slaves - let me date it for you. My mother is 80 years old. It was her great, great, grandparents - four generations back. So my 30 year old daughter has to go back SIX generations to find a slave owner.

By the way, those were the slaves that were emancipated, making them the last generation of slaves.

Yeah, but this one is one I just could not let pass this time. My family way back then were slaves. The last was my great great grandfather. So, as you can see my family has been free and very proud Americans for a long time. It ended in 1865, when will the BS about it die out? Why is slavery always brought up as a arguing point? Beats me.
Society owes us nothing, by us I mean Americans. We all have the same opportunities.
Get off you're lazy rear ends and quit you're whining. I hate whiners.

well you are right it was pretty funny. She could at least get some facts straight before she goes a ramblin on....lol

I am sure she doesnt allow for comments b/c she cant handle them....doesnt want to have other point out the errors or flaws in her thinking. Oh did I say thinking...I am not sure she really was...

Thanks Tom and SoSioux for helping me find it, it was quite enlightening....lol.

Lol, Mech. I have quit reading her blogs. Uusally they don't make any sense. Plus, when someone doesn't allow comments, I don't read them, or give them attention in any way. Though, I do read bubba's, because they are good for a laugh. But I never give him the satisfaction of a response.

". . . and Native Americans, who actually have a good reason to be."

So true.

Indentured Servitude?... Isn't that called employment in todays society? Just think about it. All the criteria are met. Funny I thought I was free. Thats what I Keep hearing about. Freedom this Freedom that... and yet as an Indentured Servant I must work to pay off the debt that I aquire just by being born. It is a debt to capitalism, to corporations around the world. To landlords, banks, auto dealers, health care companines. Yup I'm indentured.

Yeah, but at least we have the delusion, er, illusion of being totaly free. To be completely free is a misnomer. It can not be. But look at it this way, at least we can complain about it and not be thrown in prison.
Freedoms just another word, when you have nothing left to lose.

Hey, we have musical quotes by Kris Kristofferson and Tenessee Ernie Ford!
I wonder, why do my blogs always break down to music? Could it be I am addicted to music?
