I have been reading about the Scott airshow next weekend.

Sounds like a good time, plus it is free. They are going to have many displays, including the B-1 bomber, C-17, P-51 and a rare LC-130. Plus flight demos by the thunderbirds, warbirds and our own B-25 Show Me.

Hope to see you there. You could not keep me away for anything short of a war!

my favorite event exibition there was the korean era dogfight between a mig and the sabre.

the person that owned the mig was a doctor and itwas his playtoy but an expensive one at that.

Yeah, talk about fuel costs! But man, that would be my idea of a toy. Zipping along at 550 mph and scaring the tar out of airliner pilots! Fun fun fun!
Tommy, I will be there both days, just look for the tall black dude with a short hawaiian gal. Maybe you will find me by the cargo planes. You know, once a loadmaster, always asleep! Tell the brain, oops, you're son congrats!

Tom,

Help me with one thing......what is the LC-130 variant of the Hercules. That's a prefix I'm not familiar with.

Sure. The LC-130 is designed for polar operations. It has skis integrated into the landing gear, high capacity heating, additional Auxilary power units and higher fuel capacity.
It is only operated by the New York Air Guard.

It will be a good time Dino. From what I have seen the B-1B will be open for tours. Hope so.
Have you been to the Airshow before? Man, they put on one of the best in the country. Maybe they will have a Spectre there this year. If so, you know where you will find me.
Yeah Dan, got the scanner hooked up. Now just have to get my rear in gear and get the vacation photos uploaded.
