Here it is, two days after Christmas. I received a great gift.

On Christmas night we had my pops taken to St. Mary's hospital. He had a stroke. His third one I am afraid to say. While we were visiting pops, not knowing what to expect. He looked up at me and asked me, what are you doing home tickle joint? Yeah, that is his name for me. Tickle Joint, TJ for short.

He has forgotten that I have been home for two years now. He does not remember that his wife is right by his side. Pops does not know his kids all that well. He does not know what is going on with the world. But, he remembers his grandkids.

What will tommorow bring my pops? I wish I knew.

We were told today that Dad is gone, as we knew him two days ago. How can this be?

My pops, my teacher, My all. Gone.

I guess I can not say to much more. This is my Father. What will we do with out him. He was okay this morning. Tonight there is no hope.

What will I do without my Pops?

Good morning my friends.

I write this to ask for your help. I have been having some wicked nightmares for a while now. A good nights sleep has eluded me for 5 years now. I have been diagnosed with PTSD and have received ongoing counseling. Yes, it has helped somewhat.

It comes from injuries I received in 1991. I relive that day almost every night. I ask of you to pray for me. I am not worthy of such consideration, but I humbly ask of you to do so. Not looking for pity, just a good nights sleep for a change.

Thank you for listening, May God bless you and yours.

30 years ago today, I was assigned as a loadmaster on the greatest plane ever built.

The AC-130 Spectre. It is called the deadliest plane ever built.  In my 28 years on this plane, I was frightened more times than I care to recall.

My question to all. What made you call out to God to protect you? What made you say, My Lord, If you get me out of this I will never ask of you another thing?

Did you ever ask another thing of God?
