Michael Vick says he's sorry for what happened, but should we believe him?  It's pretty coincidental that he found Jesus at the same time he pleaded guilty, but on the other hand it sometimes takes a huge change in one's life to set you straight.  We had plenty of comments into this morning's fox unplugged that we couldn't get to....here's a few comments

Nick in Cleveland says: "how is it that all of these people who are promoting mr vick finding god are making statements like "they are just dogs". we are either all gods creatures or none of god's creatures you can't use it to your advantage only when it benefits you. mr vick does deserve the forgiveness he has asked for if and when he completes his punishment. god forbid he be held accountable for murder on any of god's creatures. wake up people murder is a million times worse than non forgiveness. "

Stacey in Stow:   I believe he was sincere. It is important that he take responsibilty for his actions. I like that he apologized to the kids that idolize him. My son has been a Vick fan for as long as I can remember. Everyone seems to forget all the good things he has done with his money.

Phil in Bainbridge: It amazes me how many times as soon as some criminal gets caught doing something they suddenly find Jesus.  I don't believe Vick at all, and as far as I'm concerned he's just as evil as someone who murders humans. He should have been banned, not just suspended from the NFL.

Tom in Orrville: I hope he is sorry for what he has done, and for all the people he has hurt. It is between Vick and God if they have a relationship now. We are not the ones to judge that.I'm glad he said he found God, but God was not lost, HE WAS!! Thanks

What do you think?

If Mr. Vick truly found the Lord he will silently and humbly accept his punishment, and move on. Time will tell.

Sorry but Vick didn't take "responsibility" for his actions UNTIL his back was against a wall. He denied it until he couldn't anymore. Plus this went on for years. I'm sorry but a "mistake" doesn't go on for years and years. Why do some people think it's not a big deal because they're dogs. To me it's just like hurting a very small child in the way that they can't speak for themselves and must rely on others to do so for them. I know of course dogs are not human beings but why is it ok to inflict intense pain along with death just because they are animals?
And IF he found God I hope after he serves his time or whatever punishment and therapy (which I think he needs) he VOLUNTEERS to work at stopping this kind of barbaric "sport". I don't mean throwing a couple grand at an organization I mean hands on Volunteering and not just once for a photo opp.

I, for one, am glad that GOD is everywhere. He is the one who will decide Vick's punishment in the end! I listened to his statements quite a few times and all I got was everything was about himself. What is more sickening is the DECK the public is being played. Once again it's the RACE CARD. Anyone can play this game as long as they are BLACK OR HISPANIC. In the end the LORD will decide who is GOOD ENOUGH!!

I read in the paper today that people are sending their no.7 jerseys to HSUS to be used as rags.

Vick is full of it. He needs to be banned from the NFL, and put in jail for many years. If ANY team (including the Browns) ever signs him I will no longer watch them. Vick is a disgrace to the human race. He isn't that good of a football player and now we see he isn't a good person.

I agree with you hdrider.....I would still be disgusted with this man if he were white! He should get no help from anyone but he better ask for forgiveness from god for what happened to those poor dogs!

No, I don't drink coffee, even though I get up at 2:30AM every morning. Todd Meany here, if you didn't guess. I do love working in the mornings though. The crew is great, and it's nice to be home in the afternoon so I can hang out with my 3 boys.
