What about ODOT?

With temperatures expected to hit the 50's by next week (I can't wait!), we're hoping the major snowfalls are over.  So, we wanted to ask you how you think ODOT did plowing the keeping the roads clean this year.

It's the ODOT report card. Give them a grade, and tell us why.

We'll also take comments on your city or county road crews. How did they do?

I live in Northern Summit County. I also live on a dead end road. I used to think that the city always kept our sreet plowed really well because one of the city workers lived on my street. Well that worker moved last year and the city still keeps our street plowed all the the time. They do a great job here.

I am in Summit County too. I'm on the Cuyahoga Falls/Akron border. They did a great job. When it was really snowy they did a good job at keeping up with the snow. Once it stopped snowing the roads were plowed as quickly as possible.

My wife leaves for work about 4:45, and on 480 near ridge, it's never cleared. I think ODOT did a poor job over there this year.

Denise Cleveland.

I feel like ODOT did pretty good this year.
Especially, with all the snow we had. It's the sidestreets that really need to be cleared out.

I live on the west side, and the plow drivers are terrible. This year I haven't seen any. You're basically on your own, I don't know why we pay taxes.

I think ODOT did a very good job this winter. One misconception people have is ODOT taking care of side streets. ODOT only takes care of state routes. Residents need to contact their city or township workers to have this taken care of.

No, I don't drink coffee, even though I get up at 2:30AM every morning. Todd Meany here, if you didn't guess. I do love working in the mornings though. The crew is great, and it's nice to be home in the afternoon so I can hang out with my 3 boys.
