2008 Derby: Who Knows?

Now that I'm in Wisconsin, I'm having a hard time picking a likely Derby entrant from the local MidAtlantic tracks.  Double Down Vinman still has a lot to prove.  Since I don't get to hang around the backside or watch morning workouts at the track anymore, I don't have as many good leads.  I'm looking back fondly on the days when I had good information.  Last year I looked fairly smart during Derby week:

I enjoyed the "horse" segments on Fox 29. Still Miss seeing George, but hope he is loving his new gig. Don't forget where your friends are, George. Best of luck!

Yes--- Double Down Vinman is a 2 year old colt. Last time I checked he was expected to run the Pennsylvania Nursery. His last few timed workouts were at Aqueduct. I haven't laid eyes on him yet. I'm coming to Philly this weekend. Hope to watch workouts and maybe ride a horse or two myself.

Enjoying the hyper-cold air? I just went to Chicago for Thanksgiving and took a deep breath outside and nearly had a heart attack. Now THAT's cold, dry air!

It's good to hear from you, George. The web team moved- I now have your old desk! Somehow I feel like I have my back to the action though. That said, after her move, KL sits two desks down in my direct line of sight- so I consider it a trade up. LOL

Remember with that lake effect snow to lift with your knees. Even with an ergonomic shovel, a 20-pound 8 x 10 in. hunk of snow can do a number on you.

Say 'hi' to Lacey Krans for me. I used to work with her in Illinois back in '05.

I'm just a guy who loves to ride horses. I used to work at Fox 29 before relocating to Wisconsin. This is a picture of me with Afleet Alex who won the Preakness and Belmont Stakes and became 3 year old champion in 2005
