While I've been hearing from the news lately that more and more newspapers have been endorsing Barack Obama, I was amazed and surprised by exactly how many have actually done so. According to the article in the url below, Barack leads McCain by 235 to 105. That's more than twice the newspapers who have endorsed McCain. Go Obama!!!

Okay. I'm the first to admit that I'm a little confused about these RIGHT, LEFT, MIDDLE, LIBERAL categories. I'm going to rely on my fellow bloggers to enlighten me as to what is what is what is what. Can you give an example of being RIGHT or LEFT? I hear these terms all the time and believe it or not, I'm still not sure of the differences.
Does any one know, for example if CNN is RIGHT, LEFT, LIBERAL, DOWN THE MIDDLE or what? I'm a "news junky" and just don't know. I feel stupid where this is concerned. I don't even know that I could tell someone what I am, since I'm not sure of the definition.
Waiting to hear from you. . .

Hmmmm. Guess there is only one person to blame for that. John McCain himself. McCain is the one who asked her to be his running mate after just meeting her one time. One time to be his running mate to run the entire country? I can't help but think that that is a poor executive decision. Am I the only one who feels this way?

My mother and I went and voted this past Tuesday. We got in line at 1:50 PM and were ready to walk back to our car at 2:40 PM. I would say that if it took almost an hour (50 minutes) prior to Election Day, I can only imagine how long the lines will be ON Election Day. I didn't think there would be that many people voting Absentee Ballots, but I was certainly wrong. Based on the turnout there, I would highly suggest allowing plenty of time for the voting process that day, unless you decide to VOTE EARLY like my mother and I did. Oh, and don't make the mistake of wearing any political buttons, etc. They will tell you to take them off!
Good luck and happy voting!

What do you do with the influx of political mail / advertisements arriving almost daily in your mailboxes during election time? Do you read them or just file thirteen them? I don't know about you, but my mailbox is inundated with political ads currently. This is a very costly project for all the political candidates running for election. I wonder if people really pay attention to them or not. I get a lot more for a few particular candidates than I do others. I mainly scan some and then trash them. It sure seems like a waste of money to me, but maybe not, who knows. All I know is I will be glad when the election is over so I can go back to my regular "junk mail" that I receive.

Has John McCain really got a winning ticket with Sarah Palin? I don't think so! I believe it's a little, too late. Sure, John shocked the nation Friday with his pick for VP, and I'm sure Sarah brings a lot to the table, but not enough, in my opinion to beat the socks off the Democrats this year. I believe this
IS the year for
CHANGE with Obama and Biden. Eight years of the Bush (Republican) regime are enough! This country and our country's image are in sad shape, IMO. What are your thoughts? I'd be interested in hearing all comments, good and bad either for the Republicans or for the Democrats.

I can't believe anybody had the brains to figure this out. This is one of those, "how did they do it?" configurations.

There IS a difference between being brave and having sense. These people who are staying behind in their homes and going to ride it out because they've lived in their houses for five generations or something like that, I say, "Who cares?!" There's such a thing as having the good common sense to LEAVE -- while they can. These will be the same people who will have to be rescued off their rooftops. You just wait and see! Stupid people, in my opinion.
