A new survey by Men's Health Magazine has ranked drivers in St. Louis as the second worst in the country. Columbia, South Carolina was number one.

So what do you think? ARE WE????

No way Illinois drivers are the worst. Always have been worse then St. Louis drivers. Oops, I'm an Illinois driver.

YES YES YES YES YES!!!!! I can not stand the way that people drive in this city! I think it is the reason that I have developed a serious case of road rage. I think most of it is because no one checks blind spots or mirrors....that is how I got in an accident, not my fault!

I agree the drivers as a whole have degenerated in this City. There is a new disreagard for the law and other motorists. The courteous motorist is a rarity. There are too many uninsured motorists and too many without licenses. I have had so many close calls especially this past year. Don't get me started on those red light runners! Bring back driver's education and stricter licensing. Oh, and it would not hurt to have stiffer punishment for driving without a license or insurance.

My only question to the new generation of drivers is.........Do you know what a speed ramp is for???

Hey Joe, thanks for teaching us about SkyFox and where we can get public rides. But I agree with St. Louis drivers. Half of the time, when it rains, people seem to turn stupid when they get behind the wheel. When my brother did something that stupid behind the wheel before he got married, my mother took the keys away from him and she made him ride the bus to and from work. He didn't like that at all, but he soon straightened up. Thrust, I rather you work on that "Road Rage". It's an act of violence, and violence is stupid. I don't want to see you get in trouble because of someome else's goof. Take my advice and ride Call-a-Ride and Metro Bus. That will teach those idiots about misbehaving behind the wheel.

Well there's bad drivers everywhere. I am not sure where to start, I know St. Louis is worse than down in Alabama. Up here, I have seen a lot of people that drive way too slow; people that seem to do the "rolling stop" at stop signs; and a lot more seem to pull out in front of me. Everyday I go to and from STLCC on Big Bend, I always get stuck behind someone that goes 20-25 mph (I usually go 40; speed limit ranges from 35-40) and when it rains those same people go even slower. But I have also seen some college kids go way way too fast and swerve in and out of lanes. On the interstates up here they are 55 mph (that's slow in my opinion; a lot of people go faster anyways) and in Alabama it is 70 mph. I guess it seems like there are a lot more people with "common courtesy" in Alabama than up here; at least in my experience.

Call-A-Ride buses are the worst drivers, they think they own the road! Thank you for your concern though, my boyfriend usually drives, I still reach over and use his horn for him, he thinks it is unnecessary. He says, "let them hit me, I'll get a new car." Not a good idea on our "baby" our 2000 trans-am with a lot of custom work on it, hit the daily driver, I don't care, I'd like it if you paid for me to get a new one of those.
Oh, it is so true about the rain! I'll be driving down the highway to school and it starts to drizzle DRIZZLE! and it seems EVERYONE slows down to 40, drizzling is not something to worry about, just don't get so close to everyone!
Caliber, those kids that swerve are the ones that have ricey cars that they think are fast, but get eaten alive at the track, I've seen it.

I have so many driving pet peeves it's INSANE! I drive 94 miles a day to/from work and I see it all. I drive hwy 44 for 99% of my trip and I'm usually in the fast lane (especially on my way home). I keep up with the speed of the traffic in that lane and, for the most part everyone else does as well. Everyone is spaced out nicely and just keeps up to speed. What drives me nuts is when someone starts tailgating me when he/she can OBVIOUSLY see there is nowhere to go. There is a whole line of cars, as far as the eye can see, in the fast lane. Then the tailgater gets all crabby and swerves into the slower lanes and starts weaving in and out of all the lanes so they can go faster. What I find funny is I usually just catch up with them later even though I'm just cruising along at one speed for the most part.

I moved from West County to deep South County, and I thought Manchester Road was crazy. The people patrolling Tesson Ferry Rd. from I270 to Missouri 141 do not have a clue what the outside lanes are to be used for. EVERYBODY
stays on the inside lane forever. Why do they do this???

Men's Health has city rankings in almost every issue and St. Louis always seems to end up last or close to the bottom on all of that mags surveys...somebody's got it in for the STL.

Take a closer look at the stats, Look at Kansas city Mo. drivers. They are really bad. also to a weekend drive to Chicago downtown. See what you think about stl drivers then. Better still, drive in Mannhatten Ny.

Stl don't have anything to complain about.

No horn blowers here.

Stiffer laws won't help when they can just pay some lawer to get the ticket thrown out. I say, shoot the lawer's first then hold everyone accountable for their tickets! Make them ride the bus for a few months.

I hate to damppen any ones spirits , but does anyone drive for a living ? I do and it is not fun ! I have seen stuff and had stuff happen that would make your hair stand on end ! So with that if any of you drive east on 70 at night going across the river , let me clue U all in ! Coming into downtown there is a bottleneck ! Three lanes come into two and always everynight the lane to the far inside always has thise people who fell they are to get home before the rest of those who are polite enough to allow them in ! However for those who love jumping in front of a tractor trailer at night not a good thing ! Have any off you given thought to how much distance it takes a fully load tractor trailer with a gross load of 80,000 to stop ? Well it is a lot further than a small compact car ! Depending on the speed it can take up to almost a half of football field or better ! I would bet most have seen the results of a car and a truck meeting ! It isn't pretty ! Yet people seem to want to point the finger at the truck driver because he couldn't stop insuch a short distance ! Is it a nightmare in rush hour traffic ! Yep and I would not agree with the report ! Go to La or Chicago ! You might learn to like it here at rush hour ! Keep safe keep your distant !

I've never been to another state where someone will drive right under the speed limit in the passing lane and pretend that you are not behind them. IT'S A PASSING LANE!
