Can the natives of Philadelphia make a resolution to improve the quality of life in this city. I think it is time to make a resolution to not continue to try to be the most littered, dirty, crime ridden, low pride, low self esteem and unfriendly city. I like to believe that this can be achieved but, people here don't seem to equate self esteem & pride with littering or crime.

I know I do my part to volunteer, to be polite, keep my neighborhood & home clean and do my best to not let the natives of Philly bring me down to their level. I feel sad that a city with such potential behaves so badly all year round…maybe the city needs to make a resolution to better themselves & not have everyday be an ongoing repeat of years past. I am at a loss at the way people behave here such lack of pride...and I don't want to hear that is the way it is everywhere....I have traveled a great deal & lived in other cities but, Philly by far is in the top ten of bad behaved city. The majority of people here are unfriendly and litter like I have never seen. I think the natives of Philadelphia think this is big city living but, your wrong 100% and you all need to make a resolution to improve your attitudes and the quality of life in this city...stop your bad behavior now...it is a choice...a free choice.

I realize that the natives of this city just don't seem to care...I don't have to live here and many of us don't we can sell & move on...lower the tax base here as well as not supporting the financial needs of this city I can move on. I can choose to be in a more productive environment. I am thinking that this is what most of the Philadelphians want a large crime ridden, filthy city, where people continue to drag the city down...everywhere from Center City to the surrounding neigborhoods...just spending their time spitting, littering, being nasty, no manors and commiting crimes against eachother. Philadelphians have made a choice to ruin their city and how they are percieved.

I believe that it is time for the Mayor, Council members, Police and the Fire Dept needs to have public service ads on TV, Radio, Septa Ads & Billboards saying as a unified group we don't support this way of life, we expect better and you should expect better. If you don't then get out...stop ruining this city, stop your constant spitting in public, littering your homes / neigborhoods and stop killing eachother. In other words act like a human, civil being.  Now Septa what a garbage ride to work and the employees are as bad as the persons that abuse it with the litter, spitting, urinating "& I am not talking mental or homeless persons these are students, seniors & working persons who do the most damage", four letter words, just plain bad behavior and nobody here cares. It's like there was a decision to all be lazy non caring persons that have no control over themselves or their behavior...yeah there is a choice & you all have made the wrong one.

I keep hearing it is because of money, the lack of jobs...what I grew up poor & did not have the best job opportunities but, I don't commit crimes against others, we did not abuse our home & neighborhoods with litter...we did the best we could & did not BLAME EVERYONE ELSE FOR OUR FAMILY SITUATION. Give it up...it is YOU not the amount of money or the job you have or don't have...you can go to the library for free & learn to better yourself, you can clean up your neighborhoods and you can stop killing others...it is YOU not me, not society, it comes back to you...you have the power to be a better person and your choice not to be better. You choose the easy way, the blame game...listen there will always be nasty persons out there that are rude, disciminate and so on but, you are giving these nasty minded persons what they want, you are giving in to being nasty, negative persons, your choice to create your life and better yourself & your city...you are becoming what they want you to be. You know that it is free to be a better person, to be well spoken, to have manors, to not use four letter words non stop, to clean up your community, to be polite but, the people of Philly have choosen to be littering, lazy, spitting nasty persons to eachother...you need to use the power you have to better your life but, you choose to bring down the whole city, your brothers & sisters, your parents, your neighbors & yourself. So I see no hope for Philly and it is every neigborhood here the litter, the disgusting behavior, the lack of manors...maybe this is why you can't get a job...maybe it's you and the way you behave towards eachother.

Never going to be a first class city here...to many lazy persons reside here & have no pride in themselves, the city and even their own homes or children. I don't see a solution to the grime or the crime here and it is every neighborhood here. The natives of this city just don't get it or even try to better themselves, so many just don't seem to care. So, so sad to live like this and it is every level of incomes here have the same sad attitude here, I feel sorry & sad for the persons here more than anything for the lack of self esteem & pride. Most of what is happening in this city could be prevented, most of the crap here is self generated and is just a lack of being a responsible person. There is so much bad, negative crap in this world & the persons from Philadelphia thrive in a negative environment. The crime, litter, bad attitudes is all preventable and it is all free. These values come from within yourselves but, you need to give up the lazy attitudes. Do you not think it is time to give up the bad behavior and maybe give your children a better life. You need to just stop it this behavior and start taking control of your lives, your city and stop just letting it go down the toilet. Again, I feel sad & sorry for the way so many here choose to live their lives. Yes, it is a choice to not litter, to say no to the crime and to say yes to a better life. Don't you think it's time to let our city be progressive and move forward...you can't do this & we don't want to support your career of politics anymore. Stop keeping us down with the negative bull...that is for all of you Brady, Chaka, Nutter & Evans...you bore us with your negative remarks that make an attempt to play on our emotions. You guys are not leaders of the future but, a door to the past not the future of Philly...Philly is not a small hometown, Philly is the 5th largest city & you guys can't cut it.

You guys have been around for a long time as you continue to remind us & yet CRIME is out of control "do you guys hear yourselves", POVERTY is everywhere, LITTER is well look around, SCHOOLS are awful here and you remind us of your past record of what continued growing your careers on our backs....what are you guys talking about...a best try to be honest with us. You guys are not care takers of this city but only care takers of yourselves and your families...you support your lifestyle not ours. We are over you all & paying your way...city council is next on the list of persons that just want to hang out until retirement. Your negative infulences and we don't want your negative message.
