Barry Bonds vs. Roger Clemens

Is it me, or is Americas' news media still taking a  racially bias approached to its' news stories. I can remember (not too long ago) when Barry Bonds was "headline" news morning, noon, and night. The news reporters went on and on about how Barry Bonds is trying to cover up that fact that he knowingly  took performance enhancing drugs. How he was a liar. How he didn't deserve to be acknowledged for his home-run record.  When he was in close pursuit of Hank Aarons' record no one had anything good to say about him. The allegations about the steroid use  exposed alot of peoples hate for Bonds. The public made Barry Bonds their new villain of the sports world and the news media ate it up. It was a known fact that the so called "American Hero"  of M.L.B. Mark McGuire was taking steroids, but, no one questioned the legitimacy of his home run record. The fans still loved him and the media commended him for every accomplishment. It was the exactly the opposite when Barry Bonds was making his run of achievements. Barry Bonds was under the media microscope for his alledged steroid use until M.L.B. exposed "The Golden Boy" Roger Clemens. I haven't heard one mention about Bonds since the anouncement of Clemens' alledged steroid use. Why? I'll tell you why. Because if Barry Bonds was found guilty of knowingly taking steroids, then , that would in fact leave the door wide open for the fate of Clemens if he is in fact found to be lieing about knowingly taking performance enhancing drugs(steroids). Readers; please take heed to the prejudice in the sports world. It's real. And, it's constant.      jeebs1707   Pennsauken, N.J.

Jeebs....

Your really grasping at straws here. Seriously...do you think ANYONE cares about Bonds or Clemmens? It has nothing to do with there respective ethnic background. This topic seems to be one that you focus on in EVERY post you have put up here.
I will say what everyine else won't....dude nineteen eighty called and they want you to catch up with the millenium!
Our country has never been more diverse...
There is a Women and a BLACK man running for PRESIDENT!!! We have illegal aliens here who were given a free pass to stay in our country without exportation!!!
Wake up dude and let the love shine through!
Reperations have been paid in full....if your worried about these two baseball players and who gets bashed more in the media...then you really need to catch up with the rest of us.
There is NO such thing as racism in this country anymore.
There are a few knuckle heads out there trying to perpetuate it....don't believe the hype.

You said a mouthful brother. Besides, I think our government has bigger fish to fry than MLB. If those idiots want to do steriods for our entertainment and follow suit with the likes of Lyle Alzado I say pump em up. The record book is a complete sham anyway. The records are meaningless. It's all about the almight buck. We'll all do better if we stop glorifying these sports stars (for that matter Hollywood stars) and teach our children responsibility,accountability and respect. With regard to the media, do you really take anything they say as gospel? I hope not.

adamevolution- Thanks for your comment about Bond vs. Clemons. Although you may not find the racial divide in the sports world to have in relevancy to past and present current events doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Because it does. The reason why I seem repetitive about writing my concerns about racial predjudice is because I am steadfast about acknowledging the reality of it all. When you said that racism doesn't exist in this country I almost gagged on my own saliva. You had to be joking when you made that statement. If you are serious about racism not existing in this country, I have to ask you, Have you been in a coma for the last thirty years, or, did you just fly in from tibet?

That was pretty compelling....Have I been in a coma or in tibet. LOL
No...the fact is I choose not to perpetuate hate mogering and this racial divide that people try and cram down our throats.

Just because Mike Vick fights dogs and Ceasar Milan Trains dogs not to fight....do you think that they might HATE eachother because of race or BEHAVIOR?
Do EAGLES fans Hate Michael Irvin because he's black or because he's a Cowboy?
I say the later.
See your view is old....it doesn't matter what race a person is...it is their BEHAVIOR that causes pain for all of us.
Bonds is a focus because he LIKES it!
We can agree to disagree...but I tell you now friend that the challenge lies with behavior and values.
Look at the stories of quick fame and even quicker failure and you tell me how racism is the reason or cause.(in sports)

adamevolution - you are watching way too much Barney or something! You and I both know that this country greatest secret is that ramped racism is the UNSPOKEN shame that still haunts this country. Your wrong, the MLB is more concerned with the bonds-clemens-steroids scandel than than anything else. Why, because it a major problem in the professional sport of baseball and they've done NOTHING to stop it. So when bonds is lynched for is admission of taking HGH unknowingly...how the hell doesClemens completely deny the use when more than one person says he did? Now the media downplays the matter and it receives a disproportionate amount of press. Why? Not because bonds is a d*ck. That'a just a white mans cover up to their underlying desire to discredit Bonds because he's black.

Illz....Bonds...cheated to break a record...the Patriots cheated to win a Superbowl and to go undefeated.
Baseball is NOT to blame for a man, making a choice to enhance his performence! Black or White! HGH is injectable...so if someone was gonna shoot me up, I'd be asking questions.
No one gives a rat'e BLEEP about this because it's NOT an "issue". TERRORISM is an ISSUE!
As you say the "white man" doesn't need to discredit Bonds because he does a great job of that on his own.
Was it also the "white man" who set up Bam Morris with 25lbs. of chronic in his trunk?
I guess the "man" also made Randy Moss hit a fan with his car too.
The yacht the Vikings took out was owned by the man and he made the players rape those girls too.
O.J. was set up by his white ex-wife and the father and son snippers from Baltimore were "framed" as well.
LMAO!!!!
Listen.....it is a behavior! Until it changes...there will always be a lop sided view from the media. Who is making the NEWS?

I'm an avid news watcher and I am a resident of Pennsauken, N.J.. I am extremely interested in current events of any nature. I am adament about making people aware of the racial divide that exist in our everyday lives as American citizens and coming up with solutions to change it. I am in need of advice and solutions concerning such issues. http://www.JOURNALS.AOL.C
