"Take a look at the CEOs of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG and the Lehman Brothers. I know, the first thing that jumps out about these faces is that they all happen to be white... and they all happen to be responsible for stealing.

"But what you have to understand is that these whites are a product of a society that made them that way. It was the neighborhoods and the schools they went to: Harvard, Yale, the Wharton School of Business. They never learned the value of doing real, actual work and the first step to fixing that is better role models, so kids growing up white today don’t think the only way out of Westchester is corporate crime. Or a government handout or sailing.

"So, I get it, the temptation is to look at John McCain and vote against him because you don’t see an individual, you just see another typical welfare whitey.

"And it’s true, he’s spent his entire life shuffling from one low-paying government job to another. Well, except those years he spent in prison! Typical! And between you and me, he’s not very articulate. Oh, he may have some street smarts, but he’s not what you call an educated man. He freely admits he’s ignorant about the economy...

"And apparently the only thing his white running mate knows how to do is crank out one baby after another. And now of course, her teenage daughter is pregnant out of wedlock. Because she learns it at home!

"But that doesn’t mean we should assume all white people are like that, just because so many of them are. I believe there is hope. I believe even the stupidest, greediest, laziest whites can break the cycle of dependence...

"Like this November when George Bush finally moves out of public housing."

-- Bill Maher

You make one point, then blow it. McCain knows Hunger.

Obama "hard time" consists of being1/2 white and1/2 black not struggling from the pains of Hunger, hand me down cloths. So he wasn't popular in school. He still had Money and lots of it.

Ummm, in 2006, McCain did state that if we didn't stop the lending practices as they were, we would end up where we are now. And who said he even admitted to being out of touch with the economy? He was dead on. You people only know how to take things and twist them til they are to your liking.

No need to twist anything. He said what he said:

"I'm going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated." McCain/Wall Street Journal - 11/26/05

"The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should. I've got Greenspan's book." McCain/Boston Globe - 12/17/07

The first thing that jumps out is,why have the democrats not asked for an investigation. They always want to find out "who's the criminal".Could it be the fault those caring dummycraps ?Maybe we could get that toothless Barney Frank to explain to us why we didnt need to worry about FANNIE MAE or FREDDIE MAC .While you at it maybe he could explain why his plan called for billions of dollars to be given to a group like ACORN ,GEE I WONDER IF HE'S ON THEIR PAYROLL.

What I really get a kick out of about this little rant by Bill, and ifilus coping it for us to read is that the majority the people who run/ran and receive ton's of money/contributions from fanny and freddy are democrat's!! And a few of them are heavily involved in the Obama campaign.

I forget the guys name but I remember hearing one of them took over 100 million in pay and bounus from one of those companies in only like 5 years working there. Than he was removed over ethic's issues, he works on the Obama campaign now.

Some how all these people get a free pass and it is turned into a republican bash issue.

Ifilus, you totally skipped the part that he saw this comming, said it would come unless they tried to stop it then and they didn't and it was a bunch of DEMOCRATS who said there was no problem.

Occasionally, I do find Maher funny. This example not so much, and I am so looking forward to his new Anti-Christian & religion in general movie, "Relilgulous" BOMBING. Maybe Maher doesn't understand that around 85% of the populace is Christian, and over 90% of the populace has faith in a God. As such, most may not care for a movie insulting their faith.

Perhaps Maher could find some real humor in underlying racism among many Democrats.

"The AP-Yahoo study found that one-third of white Democrats cited a negative adjective when describing blacks and, of those, just 58 percent said they planned to back Obama. For example, AP reported that more than a quarter of white Democrats agreed that “if blacks would only try harder, they could be just as well off as whites.” Four in 10 white independents agreed, while a quarter described blacks as "violent."

White Democratic supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton were almost twice as likely as Obama’s primary supporters to cite a negative adjective in describing blacks — a finding consistent with trends in earlier polling. Only 59 percent of Clinton’s white Democratic supporters wanted Obama to be president."

Who cares... Obama/Biden have pretty much won at this point. Palin got cooked last night by Biden.

You must have been watching through your 'red' tinted glasses... Palin had a few 'quick quips' and 'one liners' that tend to get Republican's all excited... it doesnt take much. Biden played 'nice', but when you actually listened to the content, Biden shot her down every time, he boxed her in so no matter what she said it was useless, and in the end, all she could do is change the subject: she didnt even know what to say in response to some of the questions. When asked if she was going to respond to the questions she was asked, she pretty much said 'Im not going to, but I will talk about something else...'... it was a joke! She admitted she has no experience in DC, and then tried to play it off like it was a good thing! Hey, guess what... I have more experience in DC than she does... elect me for VP!!! Her responses were just typical conservative propaganda responses that 'sound good' but really arent 'sound & good'. She was only trying to connect with 'Joe 6-pack' out there... oh, yeah... because people like to look at themselves and be called 'Joe 6-pack'...lol. She came across as tactful as a brick through a window.

The only reason people said she did so well just after the debate is because they were shocked that it didnt turn into a bloodbath... Im sure Biden was uneasy the whole time as well, like watching a really bad comedy... he most likely wanted to pull the plug the whole time because it just made him uneasy... like talking to a 'Barbie Doll'... she's so cute, but when she opens her mouth its painful. Palin was like the student that didnt do the readin

Palin was like the student that didnt do the reading assignment and tried to wing it in class. The only reason it didnt turn into a bloodbath was because Biden held back... you could tell. If he had let loose on her, then he would have cooked himself because of the unfair bias Palin's supporters have... they even said it right after. Too many women would be offended if Biden went after her because she is a woman (they seriously look at this as a 'qualification' even though, wouldn't that in itself be sexist?)... even if her debating and qualifications are crap. If he would have 'lit her up' then they all would have turned on him, even though if Palin was a guy it would have been fair. So the only reason they said she 'did well' was because she didnt get totally slammed. The next day, after people slept on it and went over the content, all the commentators I saw, even the ones that are usually neutral, admitted that 'yes, she lost that debate by a wide margin'. Only the morons who thought her 'say it aint so Joe' comment was topical or even smart would think she won by any consideration. I bet she doesn't even have a clue where 'say it ain't so Joe' even comes from...

Put your own bias aside for a min. meister.... did you look into the things Biden was saying about Obama and himself, and if they were true or not? Can anything he said be backed up by any facts?

I would like to know what he said/did that you thought he did so good on?

I also get so tired of people that B@#%* about all of our politicians being the same and never getting anybody new or from outside the political garden. We get to finally see someone that is just normal like the rest of us and has actually done things she says she would/has and you all go nuts about inexperience.

Than you ignore the fact that your beloved PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE has less experience than the republican VICE president nominee and is just another smoke and mirror politician that won't take a stand on anything besides change and hope.

I lost some respect for my wifes niece this past weekend. We were at a gathering at my mother in laws house when a McCain comercial came on and she spoke out loud saying McCain's a Jerk and she's voting for Obama because he will give her food stamps. Her Aunts and Uncles told her to get a job like anybody else and buy her own food instead of laying on her butt and doing nothing. She said she would always vote democrat because they give free handouts where Repulicans make you work for your money.

Makes me sick!
