Wow, this is shocking. I just asked a co-worked this morning 'Will he still be back next year if they miss the playoffs?'. I feel bad for the man but am happy to see anyone else take over as manager at this point. Beefs I had with Yost: 1. Throwing at Pujols last year was inexusable when they were scratching for wins--I thought he should have been fired then, 2. Overly loyal to non-performers like Moeller, Weeks, Turnblow, Gagne, etc., 3. Running guys like Kendall in to the ground when he's on the older side, 4. Not playing the percentages properly--why does Weeks ever play againts a right handed starter after they made a big trade for Durham, why does a .230 hitter ever hit leadoff all year regardless of how many walks he has, leaving Suppan in against kefty in Pittsburgh that clearly had his number, bringing Gagne in in key situations when he's giving up HRs at almost record pace, bringing Turnbow in key situations last year when he was giving up walks at almost record pace, etc. They key was that he always said he was plaing the percentages but often he must have not known them or been ignoring them completely. The team now knows the owner has made the investment for this year and expects to win this year. Players, you might want to learn how to bunt or move a runner along or get a guy in from third base with less than two outs.

It must have been a hard decision to make considering that they lost their #2 starter early in the year, that 3/4 of their infield has significantly underperformed all year, their bullpen is lacking in talent, and their closer was completely ineffective and had to be replaced and yet they were still right there all year. I think the way they lose is the biggest problem, showing no fire and getting swept in key series. It's pretty shocking from a timing perspective.

I have a lot of respect for Ned I was never a Ned hater actually...he did the best he could with what he had to work with. He had faith his players bats would get hot and stood buy them every step of the way.It is easy to blame the Manager , but The Brew crew has one a lot of games it is a tough division. It doesn't help any that thy can't string hits together of late.

Oh come on Ifilis.........were's your liberal compassion and understanding???????

Don't you understand that the Brewers just put someone out of a job???

I grant you, liberals do get rapped a bit for supposedly caring more about intentions and trying to creating fairness vs actual and tangible results................therefore you MUST be SECRETLY conservative!

WHO'D A THUNK THAT?!
