Anthropogenic Global Warning...(AGW)...

Anthropogenic:

Of, relating to, or resulting from the influence of human beings on nature <anthropogenic pollutants

Global:

Definition of global (adjective)
worldwide; universal; of the whole world

Warming:

  • heating: the process of becoming warmer; a rising temperature
  • imparting heat; "a warming fire"

Now, Perhaps you can see the reason for the climate extremist changing the term from global warming to climate change....???

Since the climate has been changing since before the dawn (?) of man, do you think that the climate extremist will have to adjust their 'term' again?

'
Anthropogenic Climate disruption'...perhaps??? ACD....That's my guess...

Whats yours??

BTW, that lame green font color....was me... 'going green'.  :)

How much carbon do you think these peope added to the atmosphere....

Now, Al is ranting about the Myans, well, they must have had a huge 'Carbon Footprint', way back when . Al is also appears to be bailing on the IPCC , or, is science bailing on Al? I wonder if Al figures in the infamous ' Myan Calander'?

Concerning the Myans...

"These models suggest that as ecosystems were destroyed by mismanagement or were transformed by global climatic shifts"

Models??. Notice they mention 'global' again?

Climate models have been failing miderably in the projected temperature and sea level rise that these climate extremist have been touting for years. They have to make constant asjustments to the paramaters and coding of these models to justify their false claims. No one can deny that the earth has NOT warmed in th last 10 years, or so..

Why is that?

LOL, I agree, Guns.

I should have selected a font color more in line with the color of money. After all, Isn't that why so many of these people who are leading the 'green' movement are in it in the first place?

First, I have to disagree with your stance on global warming. You'd be, sorry, no name calling, but to me it's pretty obvious that we have a profound effect on our environment, and that we must be effecting global temperature. But my point really is, I heard this cool saying a while ago, goes against what I believe, but I think you'l like it...
Stop burning fossil fuels, save the environment, burn tree huggers instead.

akapatrick,

I also believe that we have an effect on the environment with pollutants and such, but, to say that man is causing 'global warming' and that it is obvious, well, I strongly disagree there. My believes are based on scientific reports, not media hype.

Even the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a strong proponent of AGW) admits that the planet is not warming at this time. They also say that it won't warm again until 2015 or so. Of course, their claims of a re-start are based on faulty climate models. Tell me, did their precious models predict this 15-20 year break in warming? Or the cooling of the last year or so? Absolutely not. As a matter of fact, the only body of the four responsible for measuring global temperatures that claims that earth is still warming is the GISS (NASA's Godard institute for space studies) which is lorded over by one DR. James Hansen, who has bee caught fudging the numbers on more that one occasion. There have been times in the past, when the climate has been warmer and cooler than it is now, when carbon PPM in the atmosphere was much lower.

We cannot rely fully on fossil fuels forever. That being said, there is no reason to 'fast track' unproven (especially on a massive scale) alternative energy methods, or substantially increase our tax burden because of an hypothesis.

BTW, I have nothing against people, corporations, ect. going green. As long as it's not forced upon us by government edict or mandate.
