Why are people in such a hurry  nowadays? Are we becoming  a  "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY"  type society??

There is no tangible reward for......

Being the first to that next red light....

Beating the person next to you to the deli counter...

Being the first  on your block to get that new tech gadget.. (often better to wait in this case)...

So c'mon people, take the time to smell the coffee, or whatever it is you like to smell. you'll get there, or it, or whatever.

Now, MOVE IT!!!!!!!!!...OUTTA MY WAY!!!!!!!

Monday's are my day off from the job and the blog.

Mostly spend the day sleeping or hanging with storm making up for lost time that I'm not home.

Cool stuff Newz...The old "copy and paste one line at a time" trick worked.

Never hurts to take a break and freshen the mind!

Nov 12, 2007 | 8:49 AM Interesting David. How far back do they go (in years) to acquire the temperature data to average out?

Oh, I second Brains comments. Hope you make out ok when the dust settles.

The "Normal" high and "Average" high are often used interchangeably on television. Essentially, the numbers on my latest blog are a 30 year average, taken from National Weather Service data. Typically, from 1971 to 2000.

When we get to 2011 or so, the "average" or new "normals" will reflect 1981 to 2010. Adjustments are usually small, as they were when we converted from 1961 to 1990.
