I know I may have missed the boat on this, but did anyone else have chill go up and down your spine on Saturday night?

As I watched the news on Sat. night, I could not believe my eyes at the "investigative reporting" that I witnessed. Now I understand that washing your hands after using the restroom is very important. To me it is a disgusting thought that someone would do the job and then just walk past the sink without washing. I would hope their mother would have tried  to instill that as a routine in their lives.

Now, the spine tingling part of the story to me..... Had I been one of the objects of the "investigation,"  I would have been questioned and yes I would have honestly been able to say, Yes I did wash my hands. After answering the question,  I would have found one of the Milwaukee County Sheriff Deputies on duty and brought them over to the reporter and had them ask the following question... Do you have a hidden video camera in this restroom? I don't know all the laws, but it is my guess that video tapping in a restroom would be one of those prohibited things whether they are tapping the actual performance of duties or not.

The other side of this is, my children would have also been in there. Investigative reporting or not, this is disgusting.

By the way, when do we see the report of your staff and their hand washing details?

What is Ted's take on this?

Harry Reid says our military can't win this war, Nancy Pelosi galavants off to the middle east to forward her foreign policy and every time someone in the White House sneezes, Karl Rove is brought into question and a investigative panel is formed. What is going on in Washington?

We have the stuffed shirts in the Senate and Congress telling us that the military officers with their feet on the ground in Iraq have no idea what is going on there, they of course 6,000 miles away have their finger on the pulse of every situation.

Maybe I'm just naive, and just a little simplistic, but the fact that Sadaam was such an oppressive dictator and anyone that questioned him was tortured or killed, or both, even though the Sunnis were not the majority, he just had the weaponry, chemicals, and ruthlessness. When he was dispatched from his authoritative perch, there was, and still is a huge power grab so that each "tribe" gets their fair share. I don't see that as a civil war, just the oppressed trying to gaurantee that nobody can move himself/herself into a position like that again.  I'm affraid that this could continue for a long time until the Iraqis as a nation figure out that they can all live as one nation with equal power and freedoms if they just allow it to happen.

SHAME ON YOU NBC!!!!

Why is NBC trying to give this murdeous thug a legacy just because he "honored" them with his "package of reasons" for committing an absolutly horrible act? I think the families of the victims were absolutely right in cancelling their appearance on the today show. The family members are trying to overcome the horrifying news that a loved one was just killed in cold blood, and now all these ratings craving lunitics want to do is throw it in their face in front of the whole nation for the sole purpose of zooming in on ther overwhelming anguish?  It's as though personal family tragedy isn't enough, they feel the rating boost in having such a "lucky package dropped in their laps" is well worth the few moment of trauma brought to these families.

To NBC: Once this package was figured to be from this gutless wonder, why did you not just turn it over to the authorities without copying each and every tidbit?

There is no amount of his personal victimhood that this thug had that should make us feel any remorse or understanding for his murdeous acts.

In the event there are any copycat slaying like this, I believe the blood of their victim should be on NBC's hands.

Now many of you are going to read this and say, "He's leaving something out" it can't be that out of control.

My son and daughter-in-law rented a place north of Watertown.  After the year they moved near Madison to be near her work.  After the move, they waited for a month and had not heard anything for the landlord.  My D-I-L left messages on her answering machine and didn't receive any return calls.  Not having alot of experience with this sort of thing, they contacted a local lawyer.  He said he would take care of it, it is an open and shut case. According to state law they have 21 days to send you your security deposit or give you something documenting why you will not recieve it.  That should take care of that right? NO.  After a couple of weeks my son and d-i-l are told "well she said that you left the house a mess (not true, I was there shortly before she locked it up and it was almost spotless) and there were several other things such as a short circuit in one of the hallway light fixtures and she is the daughter of a pretty well respected business man in Watertown and I'm not sure the judge would rule in your favor." So I have done some negotiating for you and she is willing to give you back your security deposit and I (the lawyer) will only charge you $150. My son questioned him some and the lawyer stated that the father (business man) was on retainer with the firm, but that is not a direct conflict of interest. They agreed to it to get it over with and now its been 6 weeks since and they still haven't received the money.

One more question, the lawyer said the agreement needed to be notarized which he could do. When they got the document to read over they called to see if they needed an appointment to get them notarized. His secretary told them they could sign the docs.and he would notarize them at the office.... Is this legal?

My suggestion is to immediatly fire the lawyer and file the papers yourself at the county court house. What do you think?  Should he just cave in or start pouncing?

I read this statement yesterday on one of the blogs, I can't find it now, but think it was the absolute greatest statement of the day.

I renewed my license yesterday that entitles me to voice my opinion on the differences that I may have with the elected officials that were elected and the questions that were decided in the vote.

If you did not vote yesterday, you have no right to voice your opinion on anything or anyone that was voted on yesterday. You lost that right when you decided your vote wouldn't count, because now it doesn't.

I realize this is more about yesterday's blog, but let me add my 2 cents worth. I feel that a teacher should not be held to the absolute schoolday regimine. I feel that the teacher should give an aggressive amount of work, that if their time is spent wisely, could finish during school hours, then everything that is left, needs to be completed outside of school.

I also came across this quote in the February 28th Waukesha Freeman. It is by Nadia Baulanger. "Loving a child doesn't mean giving in to all his whims; to love him is to bring out the best in him, to teach him to love what is difficult."

In the aftermath of the attack on the Army recruiting office, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal made the statement that the perpetrators of this heineous act were frustrated. Well let me tell you I too am frustrated, but I'm frustrated with the local and national media only giving half of the news... that being the half they want you to hear.

My son spent a year in Iraq. We were given the website for the press service that releases information to the media. That was and incredible eye opener how much of the news was being and is still being supressed. If you want to see what I get e-mails on a daily basis, go to the following website. www.defenselink.mil. You will be very encouraged as to how many civilians are pointing out the terrorists, and how many weapons caches are being found and destroyed, and how many terrorists are being captured and killed. Why can't the media report all sides?
