With all the sadness going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man that wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at the age of 93.
The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin.
They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

You don't even want to know about the rivalry between him and Colonel Saunders and /or Frank Perdue who concieved the CHICKEN DANCE!
Oh well, at least we stil have the Cong line and Bunny Hop!!

I guess he won't be shaking it all ablut anymore!!

SAD!

Tee hee Bob... I knew you'd appreciate this brand of humor :) Love the Chicken Dance notation. I have a dog, that all she has to do is hear the music to the chicken dance and she goes crazy, if I start to do it, she will jump up and grab my hands... I don't know what she has against the chicken dance, but we just aren't allowed to do it at our house :)

PRAISE THE LORD!! You got one smart dong on your hands!! My Great Granmother reacted to the same way as your dog to the Chicken dance (so we thought) It turned out to be a combination reaction, the song gave her gas and brought on flash-backs of her choking on a chicken bone while dancing to it at a wedding!!
I'm tellin'ya, every time that song was played, we CLEARED THE ROOM!! Very scary!!

What was that line that comedian had??

"I can't stop my leg"? Which, he worked into a song or something? Can't remember his name.
