I’ve seen some great news personalities (from all channels) come and go over the years. I’ve had my favorites, some of which determined the Channel’s News I would watch and at what time; maybe because they were the Best Weatherman, didn’t put me to sleep, got involved in the community with a sincere interest, or just because I liked them – for whatever reason.
Who are/were your favorites and why (ALL Channels)? Here’s my incomplete list by Channel:
- Arch Kennedy, WFTV 9: Yeah, sort of Nerdy, but in a Classy way, Knew his weather!, and he educated in a Bill Nye the Science Guy sort-of-way, I once e-mailed him to ask a question about the Space Shuttle Double Sonic Booms and, to my surprise, he wrote back within a few hours and seemed happy to, one of the Best – I’d watch any Channel he’s on
- Vanessa Echols, WFTV 9: Sharp, Professional, Classy Style, and seems like a Ton of Fun! Always Smiling & Laughing – you can’t help smiling when she’s on. And just Beautiful.
- Jacqueline London (‘ello Gov’nor!), WKMG 6: (yeah, hard to find one at CH 6 – Like Watching GrandParents Eat Lunch . . . Boring and HIDEOUS!) . . . but she is Hot Hot Hottie Hot Hot. Shoulda-beena-SuperModel Hot . . . Sophisticated AND Intelligent too – Impossible you say? . . . Oh, it be Possible.
- Wendy Chioji, WESH 2: Smart, Fun, Professional, 100% CLASS, and Cute – like a Chipmunk or Hello Kitty Cute, I quit watching WESH 2 News when she left (a lot of other good ones left too – the newer ones are Lame)
- Cale Ramaker, FOX 35!: Woo Hoo! Cale is Professional, has personality, and makes it seem like you’re getting your news from your Happy Hour/Sports Bar drinking buddy! (just BEFORE Happy Hour – News Before Brews kind of guy) He would be the Happy Hour Buddy who takes the brunt of the Jokes w/a laugh, and that you would turn to if you ever needed some Smart Advice.
- Glenn Richards, FOX 35!: Woo Hoo! He’s also Hello Kitty Cute . . . Easy now, Easy, Just joking. You can’t separate these two. Glenn is your OTHER Drinking Buddy who just happens to sneak the Weather into ANY conversation . . . and in the Coolest Way Possible. Plus, I’d put this guy up there with Arch Kennedy w.r.t. Knowing his Stuff! He’ll EduMaTate you without you even knowing it! They said it couldn’t be done, but he Actually made Weather Cool!
- Shannon Butler, FOX 35! . . . Emeril puts it best when he says, “Ohhhhh Yeah Babe!” and “BAM!”. I see Disney Blue Birds and Charlie Brown Popping Hearts when I see Shannon! What’s great too about her, is that she’s no “Dumb Blonde”. She seems like the kind of Girl who would Deck You for complimenting her on her HotLiciousNess rather than on her Intelligence . . . And I’d love Every moment of it! WOOOOO HOOOOO! ==;D
I have more but I’ll stop there. I like FOX in General because they’re Intelligent News you can Drink a Beer to! How’s THAT for a Catch Phrase FOX?!
