     If anyone is interested in viewing some of my pictures from Panama, just click on my camera icon. They are in both "albums" - I couldn't figure out how to get them all into the same one. I started downloading them into one album and then they just started transferring over to the next one. There must be a limit of 50 shots per album. I took over 500 pics, but have whittled it down to about 40. Thanks for watching!

Girlscout- Not sure if you read The Plain Dealer, but Sunday's travel section has a photo contest for Ohio residents...It say's you can submit up to 5 color or black and white photos all before March 14th. Photo's must have been taken after 2006. First place is a trip to Cancun, second place is a mini cruise. I think you should enter!!!!!!Your pictures are fantastic!!

Best of luck to you Girlscout. Back in the day, I had entered a number of photo contests. My mentor helped me pick the photos and frames and such. But every time, I lost to a very basic picture that didn’t show skill or creativity. Twice, I learned that the winner was someone associated with the organization.

Not sour grapes, because I made some contacts through the process, but it did seem like the best pictures never won. (IMO)

girlscout, thank you so much for allowing us to "go on vacation" with you!!! the pics are BEAUTIFUL...you do have a God-given gift dear girl! You should make a cd of these and sell them for windows wallpaper...I would DEFINITELY buy one! some of my favorites are Pymatuning Lake, Mayan Ruins, Pico Bonita Lodge, the scenes from the plane and the Alaska wilderness...oh, they are ALL beautiful! how did you ever get such a GREAT shot of the bear? - GEORGEOUS!

whitduv - the bear shot was taken with a telephoto lens - but she wasn't that far away and was totally uncaring about all of us tourists staring at her! She was right by the parking lot, so must be used to people.

girlscout would you mind if I copied a couple of them to use as wallpaper? I love nature shots and animal shots...that's about all I use for desktops...I won't copy if you'd rather I didn't and of course, if I do I will name them as your pics :)

I just looked at the other alblum. Wow your hotel was up there, looks like the clouds were almost on your roof.
Did you stay at different places, I saw the ocean in some of the other pics?

quarry - Yes, we stayed 3 days on the island, 3 days up in the mountains, and 3 days in Panama City. The mountains were my favorite spot.

ohhhhh ....how breath-taking ! thanks so much for putting the 'square tree' in the album...that's the one I looked for 1st. I can't get over how the colors are ..well so colorful!bright. It would be hard to leave a place like that. loved the shot of your hut, the toad, the storm over the sea, the lizard., how wonderfully private your hut was. thanks for sharing. good luck on the contest. let us know we'll vote for you. what a great vacation that must have been, the plank looked like fun, the skull looked as though he had a little to much of the rum!ha. loved the pics .
