"We are standing for the world's children and grandchildren, and for the seven generations beyond them.

We dream of a world where all our children have safe drinking water, clean air to breathe, and enough food to eat.

A world where they have access to to a basic education to develop their minds and health care to nurture their bodies.

A world where they have a warm, safe and loving place to call home.

A world where they don't live in fear and violence - in their home, in their neighborhood, in their school or in their world.

This is the world of which we dream.

This is the world for which we stand!"

Girlscout that was very touching. How do I wish it were true. My kids are 12, 9 and 4 months and I am terrified everytime Daniel and Briana walk out the door, but now with Chandala, I am even more scared because if things are this bad now, how is going to be when she gets older. It is definatly a frightening thought. I just keep praying and hoping that somehow, someway things will change for the better or at least my children will be safe. I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's day, I definatly did.

LIFE is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out and proclaiming, "WOW - WHAT A RIDE"!!!!!
