Our family would like to wish you and all of your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Our family has so much to be thankful for this year. My husband  Pete was severely injured in a accident back in May that resulted in a severe closed skull fracture. We came from a 10% chance of survival if he lived the first 72 hours to  where we are now.We count our blessings extra hard everyday now and don't take one single day for granted.

I am absolutely appalled by the way that nickelodeon has handled this situation with  Jaime Spears. This is a pregnant child. What kind of a message is this sending to young girls out there who have looked up to and idolized this young girl? Is it sending the message that it is o.k. to be 15 and pregnant?  Parents stand up and let your voices be heard. Boycot Nickelodeon. Send your Emails to Nickelodeon.com.

Is anyone else noticing the rudeness and grinchiness of the sales clerk and customer service people this holiday season? The majority of the people I've dealt with have been rather cranky. What really prompted me to blog this was the very rude comment that was made today by a sales clerk  regarding the elderly gentleman who was bell ringing for our local Salvation Army.  This gentleman was braving blowing snow and bone chilling wind to do his part for those less fortunate and this woman had the nerve to complain the bell ringing was getting on her "last nerve".  My husband, bless his heart took me by the arm and got me out of there before I became one of those grouchy people as I was about to become rather rude. thanks for letting me vent.

We are having the real christmas tree vs the artificial tree debate again this year and I have decided to let my faithful blog readers choose this year so let me hear from you and my choice will be made from your votes. This is an ongoing thing with my family that we have every year. this year we are asking for your help. I am also looking for a tree topper for my personal special tree. It must be a holstein cow,preferably with angel wings and lights. help.

 

MERRY CHRISTMAS OR HAPPY HOLIDAYS?  As I listen to the morning crew on fox8 and  listen to the feedback they have received I feel I must put in my opinion. I think it is a matter of what the individual person feels comfortable saying. Personally, I say "have a good holiday" no one is offended.
