My Husband does all the cooking! THANK GOD! I do dishes & take care of the kids! so its fair!
I was wondering tonight we had 3 meat chili.
Does anyone have any other good Ideas for Dinners?
If so let me know, with directions on how to make it.
I am a picky eater but am willing to try a few new dishes if they sound good enough. EASY & CHEAP are what I am looking for I am just tired of the same old thing week after week!

Potato Chip Casserole

1 bag (normal) of regular potato chips
1 or two cans of Tuna (depending on how much you like tuna - drained)
1 can of cream of mushroom soup

Grind those potato chips up until they're fine and or a few not so big pieces are left.
Mix all ingredients together (hands work best)
Put in a casserole dish, cover with foil and bake at 350 (that's what it's at on my Electric stove) degrees for about 30-45 mins. Cover with foil.

It's a sandwich. Grab some cheeseburger buns and eat away. It's reaaaaallly good. One of the few times I actually eat bread.

My husband is a great cook too. He used to cook all these really fancy dishes and arrange them on the place. So pretty I took a couple of pictures. 10 years later I'm lucky if I get a grilled cheese! Very funny how that works! But he still will cook the best steak I've ever had. So I'm happy.

You know what gabulldogmom~~
I was thinking about this blog for a few and thought you had a very good idea (you didn't even know it..lol). We should somehow between the few of us that keep in contact here share some different meal ideas every week. Between all of us we would have a meal for the week. sound good??
My kids are very very picky too. I think that may be why i have a headache from h*ll today, always trying to figure out what to make them. When i make their favorites all i hear is this again and when i try to make something new, i get ewww this is nasty.
answer to your question...I make the kids a taco dish. It's a big hit here. just get hamburg, cook it up add your taco seasoning get some tortilla chips or my youngest and fiance use dorritos and put the chips on a plate put your meat on top and finish it off with your fixings....lettuce tomatoes sour cream whatever you all like.

I learned a new dish too. My family doesn't like left overs. When I have left over Ham. I dice up about 1-2 cups of ham. I peel and slice thin about 5 potatoes. 1 can cream of celery soup 1 can cream of mushroom soup. 1 8oz bag of chredded cheddar. Add soups and cheese together. Spray bottom of casserole dish with pam. Layer potatoes, ham, soup mix until you run out. Extra cheese on top. Put casserole dish on baking pan because it will drip over. Bake on 350 for 2 hours. My family loves that. Good idea Survivormom.

Hey gabulldogmom,

I like to use my crockpot for a lot of things. Making a chicken soup, with a whole chicken and put celery, onion, salt any kind of seasonings..I will pull out my cookbook for crockpot and post it for you. I like to make a chicken pot pie also. I buy chicken tenders and season them, cook them then I put everything in a big pan, or whatever you want cassorole dish, put frozed vegs, medley mix, onions, celery, potatoes, lima beans, peas, carrots, the frozen bag then two cans of cream of chicken soup or cream of celery soup to give it more flavor and then I mix up bisquick mix and pour over for the crust. 'Sometimes I put the mix on the bottom for bottom crust and then on top. Cook at 350 degrees for 30minutes.

I use my crock pot for beef roasts. Slow cook for 10 hrs on low with potatoes and carrots, and Liptons beefy or beefy mushroom mix soup. That makes the whole house smell so good, and the potatoes are the best!

I have used mine for pork roasts to make BBQ pork for sandwiches.
& for meatballs take a frozen bag dump it in to BBQ & a little bit of grape jelly mix it in cook it for a while & you would go crazy it is great sounds gross but it is AWSOME! My mother in-law did not tell me what she would use in it till I had eaten it 3 or 4 times because I am so picky!

I use it BBQ pork too. If I have left over ribs. Just put them and more sauce in there and cook away. The meat falls right off. That's good too. I think grape would probably be fine. A little sweet with the sour.
