What I want to do here, is start a post of your favorite recipe or dish that you like to serve on Thanks Giving.

Do you have a certain way that you prepare and cook your bird?

Have you got an award winning dish that your Thanks Giving meal wouldnt be complete without it?

I am looking for ideas and new dishes to try on Thanks Giving.

As for me, I have a certain way of coooking my bird. I tried this many years ago and it really turned out great.

After cleaning the bird and giving it a good bath, I take a Orange, Grapefruit, Lemon, and a Lime. I quarter each of these other than the Grapefruit. That one I cut into eights.

I preheat my oven to 450 degrees and start shoving  (stuffing) the pieces of fruit, alternating each piece. Now that the bird is stuffed with fruit, I will take a pound of butter (soft) and mix some spices in it such Rosemary, Sage, Thyme, Allspice, Salt & Pepper. Not a lot...just pinches at time. I will then take the skin of the Turkey and pull it from the meat and coat the underside of the skin with my butter mix. Once that is done, I will close up the opening where fruit stuffing went in and then using Extra Virgin Olive Oil, I will give the bird a good massage (lol) so that the Olive Oil is throughly coated all over the bird.

By now my oven has preheated and I put my bird in for twenty minutes. Just long enough to brown the outside and keep the juices inside. I then lower the heat to 300 degrees and cook the bird for one hour for every pound that it weighs.

So how do you prepare your bird or dish?

This has gone beyond absurd! How dare these people laugh at us for helping them out!

Yeah, we are paying for that 85 billion that they just got from Uncle Sam...our Uncle...and another 35 billion after spending $500,000.oo in a California spa last week. and they are doing it again and laughing at us!

I just saw it on the news this evening. They had posted: "PARTY PARTY PARTY HA HA HA"

I would give a months salary to be able to see these rich (insert your own adjective here) behind a wall of steel bars and to have the opertunity to laugh at them.

Now, why isnt out government doing anything about it? Who is it that keeps giving them the money? (I want names). Why are we sitting back in our chairs and allowing this carp to happen?

Thi nation is on the brink of monetary collapse and someone is allowing these rich "JUNKS" to enjoy what our "stupid" government gave to them. I feel that it was a stupid thing for our government to do. Let AIG collapse and put all $120 billion to a much better use!

One more question; has anyone got a picture of these AIG people? I need a different picture for my dart board, Obama is full of holes.

...whats it going to take to stop these people from driving while intoxicated? How many innocent people have to suffer the tragedy of one persons stupid, mindless act?

My prayers go out to that family that has lost a grandmother and a one year old daughter due to one man that decided to drive after drinking.

I have yet to see anything about on the news websites, but its all over the TV.

I wish there was an easier way to stop these incidents of sheer stupidity!

YES! Its stupid to drive after one has been drinking! Bottom line......

....dont be stupid!

If I could just take a moment to say what is on my mind to  Casey Anthony. Ever since this story broke the news, I have hoped for the safe return of Caylee.

With the new evidence that has been reported and that Casey wants an immunity deal makes me feel sure that little Caylee wont be found safe.

As for Casey, I feel that she is guilty from the reports that I have read. This is one case that I would like to be a juror on.

I know that our Lord God Almighty asks us to forgive, I wonder of God can really forgive Casey of taking the life of one of His beautiful babies? I wonder if Satan has a special place of torment for her in his lair.

I feel so bad for that little girl and curse her mother for the terrible thing she has done to that child. I can only hope that I am wrong in that Casey isn’t guilty and can prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt, but I just don’t think she can.

I ask why or how a person can do something so terrible to such a beautiful little girl...at 3 years of age...so full of innocence. This child couldn’t have done anything so wrong to give Casey a reason to end this child’s life. How could someone do something like that? Are there that many sick, maladjusted people in this world?

So some say Labs are Vicious? Wrong breed of dog there. Take this thought into accord. Your dog, be it a lab, Shepard, retriever, or a pit, knows only what you teach them. (my apologies, but I am back on my pedestal). I ran across some pics today that just stole my heart.!

Now when a dog is not trained, then survival instincts kick in. But a well trained or just a trained dog follows its commands and teaching.

I call this one Peace

And this one is love

So why cant we all just get along, its a message for the world!

I bought gas this morning at a Race Trac and the price was $3.69 per gallon.

Now just for a test, I stop the pump at $3.70 and I should have had 1 gallon of gas...correct?

The pum showed 0.999 gallon.

I say that is inaccurate...TRUE?

So I take a picture of the pump displaying all the numbers (I always carry a loaded camera with me).

Then I pumped $50.00 into my truck and took the receipt into the manager and told her (loudly) that their pumps are inaccurate and that at $3.70, I should have at least one gallon of gas.

The manager argued with me and then said she owed me a penny. I told her I wasnt wanting the penny, I wanted the pumps to read accurately. Thjen she said she would turn it in and turned her back on ome and I left.

Now my final question to all of you bloggers is: Who do I report inaccurate prices too?

Its not often that I go tootin my horn, in fact, its a pretty rare thing for me to be bosting about myself. Well, this is one day of the year that I feel that I am allowed to do so. This day has aged me one more year.

In my past 52 years, I have seen a whole lot of things come and go. Things like a 78 RPM record to a MP3 for a small example. I have been to more concerets than I can remember (*hummm*) and can only count them by the ticket stubs that I have in a tin somewhere around here. I have never missed a Texxas Jam, but remember very few of them.

I have watched my daughter grow and age to a beautiful young lady that now has her heart set on a prety nice young man that seems to really have together.

I share my life with a wonderful lady that has become my partner for life. She has been been very wonderful to me and we celebrate our anniversay tomorrow. Now who says internet relationships dont work? We met off the internet and were married with in three months of meeting. I wouldnt trade it for anything!

But in the onset, I turned 52 today. I have met a lot of people throughout my life...some good, some not so good. Since I have joined this site, I have grown accustomed to seeing certain peoples names and enjoy reading their comments. I like what I have read.

So to all of you, I thank you for saying what you have had to say. Now if I can just make it another 42 years to see what changes will happen then.

Have a wonderful day people!

Take your best guess! I live in Arlington with a wondeful wife and daughter. I have maintained a commercial drivers license for over 20 years and have traveled more miles than I can add up in my log books. I have seen things that would make most people sick. Other things that would give cause to wonderment as to how such a thing came to be. I have seen the joy and love in a young child as it was in an old woman. I have seen the saddness in a puppies eyes that his only hope was for someone to give him a good home so that he wouldnt suffer the fate of his siblings...he has become a wonderful dog, I just wish that I could have rescued all of them.
