There are still Iraqis alive. If things were going well the country would be completely devoid of all human life and unable to support anything more complex than an ameoba for the next 200 years. Sure, the troops are doing what they can, one was just reprimanded for raping and killing a 14 year old girl, but they could do oh so much more!

The embassy is already the largest one the US has, why not make it with jumbo ovens large enough to fit a dozen Iraqis? Hell, that's room enough for 20 or so kids! Rope is cheap, why not have hangings instead of those expensive facilities like guantanamo? The government has taken long enough to sign the oil bill, I say lets kill a member of their family for every day they don't pass that bill.

Also, I've heard that they're getting electricity as much as 8 hours a day in some regions. That's completely unacceptable! At that level they might be able to run dialysis machines or use computers to communicate and improve their infrastructure!

omg, nvmd, that is no laughing matter. Hadn't read or heard about that, sorry. Was he tried in our country or Iraq?

I don't know Frank, that is horrific to say the least. War is such a disgusting and ugly thing to go through, I swear to you I wish we weren’t there, but we are. What will happen if we leave? It's a sad and sick world we live in.

One more thing, ok, some people are weak and give in to evil, but...not all of our troops are like that. Most of the people in our armed forces are incredibly brave, decent, and kind individuals that deserve our gratitude and respect. Right?

All I can say is thank God for the Internet

as it seems to provide much more info

than the Left News-media scam!

We are doing better than they tell us.

Exactly hotmama, I haven't seen these numbers anywhere: http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/10/11/iraq.deaths/<
br>
I mean, those damn libs have never said as much as 655,000 dead towel-heads they always Bawwwww about 4,000 dead US GIs or something like 30,000 dead iraqis....The fact of the matter is they don't want to acknowledge that if we stay there another decade or so we might actually beat Hitler's high score.

You're not the first to mention this, I met a man from Iraq not long ago, he was telling me that the death toll is much, much higher than reported.

I tried to check that page out and it comes back as "unavailable"

Study Claims Iraq's 'Excess' Death Toll Has Reached 655,000

By David Brown
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, October 11, 2006; Page A12

A team of American and Iraqi epidemiologists estimates that 655,000 more people have died in Iraq since coalition forces arrived in March 2003 than would have died if the invasion had not occurred.

The estimate, produced by interviewing residents during a random sampling of households throughout the country, is far higher than ones produced by other groups, including Iraq's government.

WOULD YOU RATHER THIS BE ONE OF US?
It is more than 20 times the estimate of 30,000 civilian deaths that President Bush gave in a speech in December. It is more than 10 times the estimate of roughly 50,000 civilian deaths made by the British-based Iraq Body Count research group.

Notice the date of this article: 10/11/06, that was almost a year ago. But Frank what the BLEEP are we supposed to do? They attacked us first! what should we have done? don't we have a right to protect ourselves? how do you propose we do that? using harsh language? THEY HATE US! why can't so many understand that? there is no compromising or reasoning with these people. Would you

Would you rather it be 655,000
Americans that died as of 10/11/06? Because that’s what THEY want.

I am sure they do and me disagreeing with Bushes strategy does not make me want to be one of those it just makes me want a different strategy.

What "different strategy"??????????? send them flowers? give them what they want? what do they want? THEY HATE US. THEY WANT US DEAD.

D-E-A-D DEAD. Are you willing to die or give up your freedoms in order to make them happy? You claim to support freedom or religion, which includes NOT hating homosexuals and giving them the same civil rights we enjoy, yet, you wont PROTECT THOSE FREEDOMS? Our way of life, our freedoms, those are some of the reasons why THEY HATE US! geezzz.

Or because of what we have done. Having studied history I have seen how long people hold grudges. If a bunch of Muslim countries wanted to keep troops in our country I doubt we would be okay with that. If a muslim country took our president out of power because he did not agree with them using special ops and then implanting a terrible dictator maybe we would be mad. The terrorists might be bad but we commited the original sin.

I give them no excuse for what they have done or what we have done. We support Democracy when we want regime change, we support dictatorships when the people don't agree with us. Our foreign policy is us first you second. That is one of the problems preciptating terrorism. We topple Hussein under the guise of freedom while we support Saudi Arabia's opprerssive dictatorship. You can't have it both ways.

As we sit in the comfort of our homes in complete safety able to express our views and opinions without a care in the world, munching on Doritos and sipping on Coke in a tall glass of ice, enjoying the perfect temperature inside our very nice homes, with my children lounging around listening to music on their I-pods and playing video games on their playstation in their very own room with their very own TV, am I suppose to be a complete and total hypocrite and say I have some kind of problem with: "Our foreign policy is us first- you second."?????????????????? Come talk to me when you've given up all your comforts, freedoms, and safety.

I'm not as smart as you and I will never have the education you will, but, I sure as hell know how to recognize, appreciate, be grateful and NOT hypocritical. I got those lessons down right. We can argue about all the wrongs our leaders have done throughout time since the beginning of our nations birth, that still doesn't change the obvious fact that all of us benefit and are enjoying all the things most of us take for granted as a direct result of those actions and decisions our leaders have made. Or are you going to sit in your nice cool house and tell me no?

I agree that we have a problem with enjoying the fruits that our wrongs bear whhile crisizing our country. I am more unhappy that we are saying we are doing this stuff in support of freedom when we are not. Either take the moral high ground and don't do stuff just to get the resources to sustain our standard of living or do it and say you are doing it for that reason. deluding ourselves does not help. Our main comfort that we get from the middle east is oil. We build huge SUVs and Hummers to waste a substance we have to fight over. I do not ever plan on getting a huge car and my family never has. I prefer a minimalist approch rather then indulging or denying these comforts.

Just to clear up matters Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and the people in that country didn't give two shits about us on the whole.

Saddam and other terrorists were actually quite pleased to see Saddam disposed, for those of you not in the know he kept the riff-raff out partially through his brutal methods.

Oh right, yeah. Aha…. that's highly unlikely. See, I pride myself on common sense and I must say that I refuse to believe that our President, Intelligence agencies, and our entire Congress made a big ol mistakypoo by going to war with Iraq in the first place, if they didn't have hard facts and truthful information that led them to make that decision. Oh yeah, it was "misinformation" the CIA, "goofed". Ha! bs. Are you trying to say that ALL our leaders in Congress and ALL our intelligence agencies are complete and total idiots? You being the only "smart" one that knows for a fact that Iraq had nothing to do with anything remotely associated with terrorism?

wow.

Where’s your proof? Where do you get these “ideas” from? Bill Maher? Jon Stewart? No wait, Rosie O’Donnell! Ha ..….now there’s a “reliable” source. I’m in no way saying that we don’t make mistakes, but….our ENTIRE congress voted to go forth and invade Iraq. Why????? They obviously knew something we don’t. President Bush is a dictator right? He did all this all by himself, well, for being a not so smart man….wow! Imagine what he could accomplish if he was actually smart?
I look at it like a police investigation, they’re not going to disclose what they know before the killer is caught. That’s stupid. Cops always give little or no information with the sole objective of catching the criminal. I’m not a fan of President Bush, but I can’t believe that he is doing this all by himself. I can’t believe that our congress is powerless against him. That is the biggest load of bs I’ve heard, since Rosie uncovered the cons

I'll say it again...We need to leave Iraq now!

Upon leaving, Iraq will implode and there will be so much chaos that the U.S. will become a figment of their imagination...sneeze for the truth.

The 'cockroach principal' will take effect.

Unfortunately, there is not one politician out there willing to do what must be done.
