There are several reasons why I know Barack will win the Democratic nomination:

America, along with the world, wants change;

Hillary carries herself far too arrogantly;

Hillary will turn out to be a Foreign Relations disaster…Hillary is no Madeleine Korbel Albright;

The current administration encourages the systematic dehumanization* of America and allows it to thrive and progress.  Barack will bring substance and morality back to our county;

Americans are fed up with the blatant abuse and underhanded tactics by groups involving capitalism.  Mortgage companies, the high cost of education and credit card companies financially raping Americans.  Court systems foster corruption, inadequately protect victims (victims of finance scams, domestic, and criminal activity), and disproportionately favors the wealthy;

Some of “The Powers that Be” are making a lot of money through the war.  Many people have prayed to God for world peace.  Most Cultural Anthologists and Sociologists know that Barack could actually bring about world peace.  Please evaluate who you believe are the groups that will lose money due to world peace and contact them to find out if they are voting for Barack;

Hillary is too emotional.  If she cries before the wrong person, it could lead us into wars outside of the current theaters.  She will be tested often…again; she is no Madeleine Korbel Albright;

Please go to the movie theater and watch “The Great Debates”.  After seeing it, then you will understand another reason why America is going to elect Barack as President;

Some Blacks are making money and profiting financially from lyrical dope** being spread by predominately Black radio stations and television networks as well as other systems (this includes orgs that we expect to operate in our emotional, spiritual, or financial best interest) that are broken, lacking checks-and-balances, usury, exploitation of Americans, and morally unjustifiable accounting and business practices;

Basically, Barack will right many wrongs and some shiesty folks are concerned that their wells will run dry soon.  On Election Day tell corrupt people that “The Jig Is Up” by voting for Barack.  It just isn’t “Black Folks” whom are being hurt by immoral business practices and a broken justice system;

Barack is simply going to do “right” by America and some folks are afraid of losing position and/or power;

That’s why We The People want Barack as President.

* Dehumanization: A process by which members of a group of people assert the "inferiority" of another group through subtle or overt acts, statements, public policy, or legislation.  Current public policy denies ignored, misrepresented, under-represented, or denigrated groups in America many basic civil rights such as raising children, quality education, equal justice, adequate housing, etc.  The act of degrading people with respect to their best qualities; "Greed and corruption has been blamed for the dehumanization of modern life".

** Dope: Causes stupour and complete loss of self and societal awareness; Induces mental lethargy - In this case, lyrical dope induces societal, spiritual, and emotional lethargy.

Not all us "People" want him. I for one don't and I'm not worried about him being President either. If a man who wants to run my county and wants to be my "leader" then he better be able to say the Pledge of Allegiance and also hold his hand over his heart while doing so. I'm not to keen on handing the reigns over to someone who has Muslim ties either. Unfortunately, him along with the other's, both Repubs and Dems leave something more desired this election.

I'm with Gooberpug, he won't get my vote. There is not one Democrat that is worth my vote and the Republicans don't have a whole lot to offer either.

What I want for my country is a strong leader, one who will let US say the Pledge of Allegiance. Who cares if Obama's hand wasn't on his heart once while it was being said, at least he supports it BEING SAID! Obama over Hillary is a no-brainer for me!

change....change... make that change...riding the wave of change...ch-ch-ch-change....huh??? Sounds more like emotion than substance. I'm no Hillary fan or any Democrat for that matter but all this excitement over the word 'change' that never gets defined is bizarro to me.

Give control to a blowhard kid? Perhaps AFTER he actually does something in the senate. So far he is inept, immature, and full of himself. He has no skills, and no record of accomplishments. Obama won't carry ANY southern states Ya can't win without 'em.

A few things....

Toe fungus would have been at foreign relations than Madeleine Albright!

Credit card companies financially raping Americans? Come on. When you sign the credit card contract, you agree to certain terms. One of them is if you cannot pay what you owe, interest will be added. It's not the credit card companies' fault that people spend way much more than they can possibly afford. No one commands a person to buy a $10,000 entertainment center when they only have $200 in the bank. It's the individual's fault for being a spendthrift.

Same goes for the mortgage companies. People knew they didn't have the resources to buy a $600,000 house or pay for the mortgage on one. They were greedy, entered into shady arrangements and got their rear-ends burned.

Worst thing about your obviously bias post is, it's going to be a whole year until I can Post that you are so wrong.
I have read many of your posts and they are all and always leaning toward one certain "race".

Amazing how many reactionary losers read your column. Your article could use some copyediting, but aside from that, the ignoramis in the South can hold onto their hateful biases... "Change" here implies doing something differently, i.e., not voting for an illiterate just because he's a good ol' boy; not voting for a woman just to get her fat "charming" husband back in the White House; not voting for a Republican candidate just because he's an ass.

"Caffeinated cow" -- you're a moron. Have you ever actually read a full Terms & Conditions? Lawyers are paid a lot of dough to help the greedy corporations swindle the average consumer. Who's your vote going to? The most misanthropic candidate?

Dear politik,

Yes I have read through the Terms of Service on credit card contracts. Therefore, I know what is expected of ME and what will happen to ME if I don't honor the terms of my contract.

Because I am aware of the terms of the contract and because I honor the terms of the contract, I am not in credit card debt nor is my credit rating ruined.

I am also aware that there are no mandates that force me to enter into an contract that I find unacceptable.

The people who do not act in good faith by not honoring the terms of any contract are idiots. Likewise, the people who sign unsuitable contracts are also idiots. However, they aren't as idiotic as the people who enter into these contracts, then blame the everyone but themselves for their decisions.

Have a good day. :-)

cc, it's amazing you find any of these contracts "acceptable." they are not made in good faith, nor to protect customers, just to qualify a service offered with a penalty, and most importantly, to gross profit. i guess you might say it's the least idiotic thing the people who make the contracts can do. in many instances, they serve to mitigate any potential losses with recuperable gain. that's what any non-idiotic person would do in the interest of CYA, right? considering most people don't read T&Cs, touche!

but back to the point, what's with the transparent racism as a reason not to vote obama? it's old. it's tired. it's a series of lost wars -- or won wars. one needs only to open their eyes and look at the pop culture they are almost inevitably immersed in, in their daily life. the only thing that is clear, and relevant, is that CHANGE (a simple, one-syllable word fishstick) is needed. hillary and the other candidates simply don't represent or fulfill this need.

Dear politik,

As I wrote, there are no mandates that force me or anyone to enter into an unacceptable contract. If I find a contract unacceptable, I walk away.

So if you read the terms, find them unacceptable and are still idiotic enough to sign on the dotted line, it's your fault for doing so. Not my fault. Not the government's fault. Not the Tooth Fairy's fault. It's your fault for signing an unacceptable contract.

And perhaps if more people were to not sign, these companies would change their business practices. But as long as you have idiots blaming everyone but themselves for being idiots, these companies will continue.

And if you don't read what you sign, then you don't deserve to live in an unsupervised manner, because you have proven you are lack any type of common sense and basic personal responsibility.

Have a nice day :-)

I have known of many financially destitute and desperate people to have done whatever it took to survive. Human nature and the need to survive cause some folk to do things for worse than sign an unreasonable contact.

Lacking resources or the means of subsistence vs. Survival

Eli, you don't need a credit card to "survive", likewise, you don't need to purchase a $600,000 house to "survive".
