RIPOFF: Flavored Water

If I hear another commercial for flavored water, vitamin water, skinny water, etc I am going to scream.

What a RIPOFF!  This is all about a money making gimmick with smoke and mirrors.  The human race has survived for thousands of years with what was given to us naturally as regular water.  This water scam today has got to be the biggest ripoff in the food industry. 

Save your money folks.  Some companies out there are relying you drink their so called "stupid water" to keep them swimming in the cash.

The comedian Lewis Black did a pretty good riff about the bottled water craze during his HBO "Black on Broadway" Special.

I agree Tom. Most people have no clue just what they are being overcharged for. Check out Penn and Tellers two part video on bottled water. It's entertaining and informative Here's part one....

Yes, buying bottled water is ridiculous. Think about it, a pint for 2.00, that makes it 16 bucks a gallon. Imagine if gas cost that much. I could fill my pool with well water for what it costs to buy a few bottled waters. People have lost all perspective. But, to be fair, we have been buying sugared bottled water for years, they call it soda. Is it really so far fetched that water would sell like hot cakes. I'm with you guys, it drives me nuts when the wife buys cases after case, but I guess thats a small price to pay to keep her happy ; )
