Different personalities is what makes a station unique. Evidentially Channel 6 is looking for the "market edge" and uniqueness is part of this.

It doesn't bother me at all -- in fact, I enjoy some of the interaction -- makes them more "human" -- I don't care for stations that are very robatic.

You are lucky -- we have several choices of stations to watch in this area

I don't even watch Fox6 anymore, but I would agree with don't_miss_Milwaukee's complaint on Mr. Goodman.

The times I watched him I found his delivery obnoxious and grating; I think he is attempting to find his own on-air persona and is failing miserably.

My word to ALL anchors out there: JUST REPORT THE FRICKIN' NEWS PLEASE. Don't add your own personal spin on the material; don't make remarks on the story ~ just move on to the next report of a shooting or car crash.
And heavens: be professional! Don't act like a goof. You are journalists; NOT comedians!

You got to be kidding me! You must be fun to be around, boring as all he** I am sure. Just because some of the Fox6 news anchors/reporters enjoy themselves doing their job does NOT mean they are not doing their job well! Quite the contrary they do a EXCELLENT job! Your bio says left Milwaukee last year and will never return......all I can say is thank you and don't come back, you don't deserve us! Stay where ever it is you are and quit slamming OUR news anchor's and reporters because WE LOVE THEM!
p.s. Oh ya, if you don't like the Fox6 anchors and reporters why on earth to you even bother to blog on myfoxmilwaukee.com in the first place?

HOLY butt kissers!! Antmarta, are you the internet police? I continue to watch FOX6, therefore I blog on here. Am I not entitled to have an opinon? Or are you one those people who go by "if you dont have anything nice to say..."?

Now come on, you people actually enjoy seeing Chris Goodman act excited and have a smile on his face when he's reporting on a murder or other violent crime?
Say what you want about carbon-copy anchors, or robots or whatever...there needs to be a level of professionalism when reporting the news. ala' Ted Perry.

As someone said earlier, if you don't like what's on the tube, change the channel. You could always watch the stuffed shirts on channel 12. They have as much personality as a B.M. diaper. I feel it is refreshing to see that not ALL news anchors come across as these hardnosed, never crack a smile because they're face might crack types. In fact, there are times that I wish the fox 6 gang would loosen up a bit. I didn't even think Katrina cravy had a human side until I read the post she wrote about her squeaking shoes on the gym floor.

Why would you be on their BLOG space and watch their news casts if you don't like them? That is stupid! I think they are fun and personable. You say you left Milwaukee and are never coming back, but as long as your on this forum your still here. THere is something about Milwaukee that you can't get enough of brains. I think someone who attacts an entire news cast on their own station needs lots of attention. And all of you amening him....Wow you are always blogging so you need to get a life.

Why don't the silly folks who want personalities on their news, come home an hour early and watch Seinfeld... FYI, news is about journalism, reporting and information....not fashion, jokes and opinions. Is Fox hiring the kind of folks it wants to present information... actors and posers... or do these journalists just prefer to take their responsibility lightly? Actors act and news reporters report... don't blur the lines... take you job serious. Join Comedy Cafe if you want to play around. What?- do we want posers instead of doctors too?

The lead story tonight was a girl in california hatting scratched by a squirrel? Then it went to Brad in a red snowplow truck, and to an in-depth report about snow from plow getting in people's driveways... yeah... hard hitting, informative, really condensed for those of us who invest a half hour trying to keep up with our local and national news. Lets see the Pentagon today reported it has completed a strike-list for a 24hr response for attacking Iran's infrastructure if Bush requests it, US rejects Cluster Bomb ban by UN, locally $5M in uncollected taxes are left by wisconsin citizens for not claiming an item on taxes... yeah that squirrel is big news eh antiemartha!
