The recent idea of Gov. Corizine to privitize the NJ Turnpike would only add to the already out of control system in NJ.This isn't  a long term solution.I worked in several school districts in New Jersey and I was a witness to all the wasteful ways of how the state uses taxpayers money.I agree that the teachers shouldn't be affected. We have a reputation for excellent schools and it's because of the teachers. What about all the overpaid administrators?I noticed each District I worked in had too many of these positions. A lot of them  had tremendous perks. Is it really necessary for the taxpayers to pay for all of these? One of the Districts I worked in paid for vehicles of the top three administrators. It's wasteful spending such as this that is wrong with our state! The Governor should look to reduce a lot of these unecessary positions if he's truly sincere about true tax relief. This is only one small idea, but at least it's a start.

Your supposition is illogical. If Governor Corzine is looking to privatize the N.J. turnpike, the concept is as follows: Government relenquishes total control of the
infrastructures and and allows a private company to bid/buy rights to operate the highway in the most profitable business like manner. Usage fees could actually decline due to the fact that all procedes would go to maintainig the turnpike rather than subsidising other projects. His suggestion is capitalism at its best. Rock on America!!!!

They should privatize most, if not all, goverment programs. Social Security, Katrina help, bridge conditions by goverments and SEPTA are just a few of the examples of disastrous government programs that are a bottomless pit sucking out all our tax dollars with no accountability and no control. And none of them work well. The best government is the one that keeps itself out of running things completely. It can barely run itself. Our justice system is another example of a misguided, poor and incompetent government run and controlled program. I think perhaps they should also privatize the justice departments.
