The NASCAR Nextel Cup: Citizens Bank 400 at the International Speedway in Brooklyn Michigan was a beautiful day for racing and boy what a race!!! Full of excitement along with it’s share of wrecks…Bing Bang Booms…and frustrations among the Drivers with other drivers and of course their Pit Crews!

Tires were an important factor on this trac and the drivers and crews really handled their share of troubles along with dealing with fuel towards the end of the laps to finish the race. Jimmy Johnson, while running in the top 10, unfortunately ran out of fuel with only 8 laps to go putting him a lap down.

Carl Edwards hasn’t won in the last 52 races with any victories but he led the final laps with Truex Jr trailing behind him giving him a race for this Michigan win…And with his 5th career win.....Carl Edwards takes the checkered flag!!! A come back for Carl Edwards’s with another Win to Victory Lane (along with his flip of course)!!!


Trivial question: Who was the only NASCAR driver to win both the first and last races in Michigan?

Answer: My All Time Favorite Driver and Always in my Heart, none other then....Davey Allison 1987!!!

You know my favorite driver already. LOL
The race today was pretty good. Jack Roush won. I would rather jump into a pool of alcohol after nicking myself with razor blades.
Can you tell I don't like the accusation slinging "cat in the hat"?
Jeff finished ninth. Keeps a commanding lead in the points, for what reason, I don't know. It doesn't count until the last 10 races.
All in all a good Fathers Day with the all American Sport, NASCAR. Crap, not any more they run Toyota's now.........................

Well, I no longer have a favorite driver, since the death of Alan Kulwicki. I favor Gordon, but like Jr as well, especially now that he out from under the thumb of the wicked stepmother! Good racing in the future my friends!

OOOOOH....My thoughts can go wild with that thought! I miss Davey but I at least have collections to look at everyday as my reminder!

My girls and my boyfriend are major Jr fans. I love Mark Martin and will always love him. I dread the day that he retires totally. Then I guess Jr will be my driver.

Well laugh if you want but my favs are Marlin and Waltrip. I then lean to stewart. Buy the way my thoughts are that cry baby njohnson is not at all happy to se Jr. join the team. He's no longer the golden boy lol

Of course Waltrip is now teamed with DJ...Marlin has been a good driver for a long time. Tony Stewart is Great...I like Denny Hamlin, he reminds me of Davey.

Now that JR has joined Hendricks, it will be an interesting ride next season...I just hope Teresa don't put some kind of Hex on JR till then! She's a wicked selfish no account BLEEP! I really hope I hear that she is going out of business...what a waste!

Are you talking about the Busch Race? That wasn't Denny driving, it was Eric. Denny was late getting there because the Helicopter could not land at the track because people parked in the landing spot so it had to go land at the airport and Denny had a police excort from there to the race...by the time he did get there the race was already into 46 laps into the race and was done by Eric. Denny always kicks butt!

Some friends and I will be down at Cowboys on OBT in Orlando that evening, if you aren't going to the race you're welcome to join us...
If you are going to the race, maybe we'll see ya on the TV in the bar. ;)
Of course, can't always see those in the stands, lol.
