The evil sadistic-minded traffic engineers in the Avondale/Goodyear area are fixing to get the wake-up of their life in about 4 weeks when Nascar hits the west valley. There is construction at the 99th, 107th, 115th (Avondale Blvd), Dysart, Litchfield, Bullard, and Estrella Parkway underpasses. On any give day an I-10 underpass might be closed.  3 lanes become 2. Northbound Dysart 3 lanes become 2 lanes and a left-only under the middle of the I-10 overpass. Van Buren has the "dreaded orange signs from hell"  from 115th to past El Mirage. Dysart is half torn up from Van Buren to Buckeye. Trying to get around the area makes you feel like a rat in a maze. They better get their defecation localized or it's gonna be a black eye for PIR, and it won't even be their fault.

I think it's high time to give the UN the boot.  They have never been a friend of their host country, let them take their liberal ways elsewhere. Now they are trying to stifle free speech even further so "Islamic" crybabies won't get offended.

There have been numerous blogs about how a $85 billion dollar bailout of AIG could better be a $425,000 payout to every citizen (assuming 200 million citizens 18yrs+). The sad truth is that it's only $425.

A US billion is defined as "One thousand times one million, which is 1, followed by nine zeros, or 10 to the 9th power. "  A European billion adds three more zeroes, in which case it would be $425,000, and you better believe everybody, liberal, democrat, and republican alike would be demanding their money.

Let us all hope that the liberal loons (democrats) in Washington are not so globalized as to be using a different definition of billion than what is accepted as a US billion.

And before my foot would be lodged in my mouth, I just checked the calculator, it still said $425.

I think this speaks for itself:

In a direct and honest head to head comparison of Palin versus Obama -— I can think of a number of categories where Sarah Palin would be superior to Obama….

- Undeniable or disputable love and loyalty to America.
- Undeniable or disputable non-Muslim background or roots.
- No felons as close friends or advisers.
- No minister/mentor who is a black racist rabble rouser.
- No American Terrorists as friend, advisor and fund raiser.
- No convicted felon who assisted in a self admitted “bone head” real estate deal.
- No suspicious money coming from Hamas or the PLO…
- No endorcements from the leaders of Islamic or weeny European government leaders.
- Never voted to kill babies who survived an abortion.
- Never criticized America military, or doubted our RIGHT to pursue and kill our enemy wherever we may find them.
- Never endorsed or praised the pimp Mayor of Detroit, who is now going to jail.
- Not a close friend or admirer of “Calypso Louie” Farrakhan.
- Not ashamed to wear the American Flag pin or salute the flag of our nation.
- Never supported Washington, D.C. law banning the right to own a firearm and keep it in one’s home - which USSC overruled.
- Never made a trip to Pakistan as a “student”..
- Never attended classes on the Koran at an Islamic school.
- Never held a passport from Indonesia.
- Never admitted doing drugs, including cocaine.
- Never accused of having a homosexual relationship.
- Never worked within the Chicago Political Machine.
- Never confronted the corruption in the city government, he “served” as a community organizer.
- Never named the most Leftist member of any group, as Obama has been named in the Senate.
- Palin’s husband quit a job in the Oil Fields to avoid conflict of interest - Obama’s wife accepted a $300,000 salary from a hospital after her husband secured a large “ear mark” for the same hospital..
- Palin has been proud and defensive of America - her ENTIRE adult life, contrary to Obama and his wife.
- I could go on…….but you get the drift…

Obama is worse that a black racist empty suit..
There is NOTHING in his life of “accomplishments” to indicate this angry arrogant man is WORTHY or TRUSTWORTHY to even retain his position in the Senate to say nothing of being the President….

Looks like Obama's "Pastor" Jeremiah is not only a racist, he's a hypocrit, too. He's been having an affair with a 37 year old woman who was a secretary to one of his "disciples". This ended in her divorce, she was fired when the affair became public.

Oh, and she's white.

I think I have just watched the absolutely best political speech in my life, given by Fred Thompsom at the RNC Convention..  Looking at the audience I did not see any of the "zombie-ism" evident last week.  VFW members, American Legion members, normal looking people WITHOUT the 1000-yard stare of last week.

Am I missing something?  The small bits I've watched of the DNC circus, they seem to presume that the American people are dissatisfied with the current administration and that  only they (Dems) can fix the situation. They do not even address the real reason which (I feel) is the partisan games they play constantly,  they are still concerned about the party agenda, and maybe only give lip service to what affects the common person. Such a pack of self serving, two-faced hypocrits.

Totally disgusting.

What more motivation do our elected "leaders" need to secure our borders? How many innocent Americans need to get killed in the crossfire of these anal orifices does it take to get the attention of our "elected "leaders" (term used loosely)?

Iraq’s Interior Minister Thanks U.S. Troops for Liberating Iraq

Washington (CNSNews.com) – A top Iraqi official visited wounded American troops at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., Tuesday to thank them for their part in ending Saddam Hussein’s rule in his country. “We also want to express our gratitude to the families of all these great men and women and express how important their sacrifices are for our nation,” Jawad Karim al-Bolani, Iraq’s minister of the interior, said.

On the Spot (CNSNews.com) -

Sens. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) and Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) dismissed Democratic claims of obstructionism and expressed outrage last week over a government report that shows the majority of bills that have passed in the Democrat-controlled Senate of the 110th Congress have done so without any debate or even a vote.

“The U.S. Senate has a nine percent approval rating, because the American people believe that much of our work is done in secret with no debate, no transparency and no accountability,” Coburn told reporters at press conference Wednesday at the Capitol.

“This report shows that the reality is worse than the public’s fears. Instead of encouraging open debate, I’m disappointed that Majority Leader Reid often chooses secrecy or demagoguery,” he added. Coburn was referring to a non-partisan study released on June 10 by the government’s Congressional Research Service (CRS), which indicates that 855 of the 911 bills passed by the Senate of the 110th Congress have been streamlined by Democratic Party leadership with a procedural tactic known as Unanimous Consent (UC), which requires no debate or even a vote.

With the Senate’s traditional August recess about to start, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has repeatedly accused Republicans, however, and especially Coburn and DeMint, of blocking UC on legislation that he says is critical to the well-being of many Americans. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.)Coburn and DeMint have a reputation for reading and objecting to bills that would have otherwise passed without debate or objection, Bryan Darling, director of Senate relations for the conservative Heritage Foundation, told CNSNews.com.

Reid has also objected to a procedural tactic know as filibuster, which Republicans have used to block legislation they oppose. “I had out here earlier today our Velcro chart, 79 [Republican] filibusters,” said Reid on June 25. “Is it any wonder that the House seats that came up during the off-year went Democratic? Is it any wonder that the State of Mississippi sent us a Democratic House Member? ... It is no wonder because they see what is going on over here.” Reid was referring to a flip chart that the Democrats use to tally the number of GOP filibusters. As of Friday, July 25, there were 85 Republican filibusters, according to Reid’s press office.

On Thursday, Reid introduced the Advance America's Priorities Act, which is nicknamed the “Coburn Omnibus” because it patches together 40 bills, many of which Coburn has already stopped from passing through the Senate by Unanimous Consent. Reid’s press secretary, Jim Manley, told The Hill on June 27 that the omnibus is a reaction to Coburn’s obstruction. "Look what happened last time we did this: Sen. Coburn held up action on dozens of bills for narrow, personal reasons, demanding debate and four amendments,” said Manley. “These bills were held up for months. The Senate had to waste precious time to allow him to offer a few amendments. That is not debate and amendment. It is abuse, obstruction and delay," he said. "Things have gotten so bad that Republican senators have approached Reid to ask that their bills be included in the package," Manley added.

But Coburn said on Wednesday that forcing costly bills before Congress right before a recess is typical of the Democratic leadership’s approach to legislating. “They [Democrats] have tried to ram them [bills] through right before recess to pressure us to give up,” said Coburn. “But senators shouldn’t fear debate on these important bills. “It’s in the best traditions of our republic to demand the Senate actually do its job and have a public debate on bills that expand government and increase the burden on taxpayers. Senator Reid can complain all he wants, but Republicans represent millions of Americans whose voices are being silenced by Democrat strong-arm tactics,” he added.
