We have a grandfather who is turning 90 years old this summer & yes we are planning something special for him, He still loves getting out & doing things with the family like Horseshoes. Although the last 2 or 3 years he has slowed down on that because of his eye sight.    But anyways I was looking to find out if anyone know about just how many of us even make it to our 90th birthday?

Thanks for all you in put.

my great grandmother lived to 100 and lived alone she passed away five months bevore her 101 birthday

On my grandmas 90 birthday they rented a hall and put an invite in the local paper to her party, we also had one on her 99 & 100 birthday...

My Grandfather Lived to Be 89.....he died during the Flood of 93.....But when he was 87....he remarried to a Lady named Jane that was in the same nursing home as him....He chose his oldest grandson which was me to be his best man...The wedding was at the luthern church in Eureka....A horse and Buggy ride back to the nursing home and a Reception followed at the home....It was the social event of events for the residents....The old gals wore me out wanting to dance with me....There is a lot of life ileft in people if you look for it.....My Grampa told me that the horse and Buggy ride was the most fun he had had in years....The Strange end to this was when My Grandfather Died....he had been in the hospital for about 30 days and had not seen Jane.....he died on Saturday Morning and Jane died at the nursing home a few hours later....

Shoot! My mom's 82 and is nearly as active as any of her three kids. After my dad passed away she remarried within 2 years and now been 27 yrs. w/husband #2. I figure she'll be around at least another 20 years.

I won't live that long but as a Senior casemanager I had the honor to be a part of a 100 year olds celebration. His name was Mitch and he was truly a gentelman who made friends until his last days and had a mind as sharp as a tack. He read constantly and had a sense of humor. I think he had the party of his life that day with friends of ALL ages--I hope so.

I won't live that long but I don't want too. My great Grandmother loved to be 100. She died the day after her 100th birthday.
