Why are some of you accusing me of racism, just because I dislike Obama and disagree with his views? It’s not racism, it has nothing to do with the color of his skin, it has everything to do with his views and his stance on the issues. If anyone’s being racist and bigoted, it’s those of you who wrongly accuse others.

I’ve never known slavery, I’ve never once experienced or witnessed racism of any form towards Black people, not once. I grew up in a time where everyone’s treated equally, I've read and heard about the injustices, the racism against Black Americans, but never personally witnessed it or felt it. I don’t even think about the color of someone’s skin, it means nothing to me. If I don’t like someone, it’s because of who they are, what they think or say, not what color they are. When someone accuses me of being racist, just because I disagree with their views, morals, or ideals, it upsets me because it’s not true.

My daughter was asked by her History teacher last week who she'd like to see win and become President, she said McCain because she's heard me talking about him so much. Her response of McCain incited a Black female student to yell at her, "You better get the BLEEP* out of here with that S***."        What is that?

I would like to know how and what about me disliking Obama makes me a racist, specially when I liked him enough to convince my husband to vote for him at one time. I was so impressed by him the first time I saw him on Oprah’s show, that I immediately liked him and believed in him, even though it was painfully obvious the whole thing was staged and rehearsed. But it didn’t matter to me, I was excited about the possibility of someone different and new, someone I thought was capable of having a positive influence on our country. It wasn’t until I saw him unpremeditatedly questioned, when he had to give an impromptu answer, that I began to dislike him.

So please don’t use racism as an excuse to bash those of us who disagree with Obama. I don’t care what color his skin is, I care what his views are.

Jay I would react the same way I did when I saw the Palin family do it. I thought it was a bit odd, I wondered if he really wanted to be there or was he pressured into it, was it all staged? But at the same time I'd think, wow, it's nice to see a young man take responsibility for his actions, because even if he was pressured to be there, he could’ve said no and refused, but he didn't.

The thing about taxing the rich is, they'll make up for it somehow, guess how. US.

The more they pay, or loose, the more prices go up on the goods and services I need. So either way, the regular person gets screwed, and if I'm getting screwed one way or another, at the very least I'd like to have some school vouchers, old fashioned family morals and values, along with a bit of American pride and patriotism from the person screwing me.

That could all very well be true Jay, but there are other issues that divide Democrats and Republicans. Abortion, Homosexuality, School Vouchers, Religion or the lack of, all these things might seem mundane to you, but they hold great value in my interests and beliefs, as do American patriotism and American pride. Not to mention the safety net Republicans demonstrate/promise in protecting them, along with our country. That's where experience weighs in quite heavily.

Point- Republicans.

What's your point statueman? Are you suggesting I'm racist because I find NO just cause in giving people a handout for wrongs never bestowed upon them? Or am I racist for feeling insulted when someone portrays this great JUST country that so many courageous people have fought and died for, as anything but?

Mred, I didn't vote.

Oh, my bad, I'm a "wannabe racist".

Unbelievable. And on what authority do you condemn me statueman? Who do you think you are?

“My point is that you cannot say racist things and later expect people to consider you anything but a racist.”

This is exactly why I'm upset and think that this country is suffering from racism alright, REVERSE RACISM.

How is my belief that no one is justified in receiving monetary compensation or even an oral/written apology for injustices that where NEVER DIRECTLY bestowed upon them, from citizens who NEVER COMMITTED the injustice, racist?

That does in NO way make me a racist! Nor is it racist to say it. How do you not see that?

“When I first met you here on the blogs we got along just fine. You took thought in you're replies and blogs and seems to put some quality over quantity in your writes. Something happened along the way and your writes have gotten more and more presumptious and mean spirited.”

No statueman, that wasn’t it, you where delighted in the fact that I was playing the race card against people whom I perceived as racist because of the way they expressed themselves against illegal immigration. A subject I have time after time admitted I don’t fully understand and am in the process of understanding, meaning, I could’ve unjustly accused those people. I am not an extremist, I am fair and balanced, and if I wrongfully accused someone, it is not “presumptuous” of me to change my tone.

Thanks for the info Jay, but sometimes I wonder if the research is worth the effort. Whether Democrat, Republican, Independent- whatever, when speaking to my husband and my friends, there’s always a bottom line. No matter what the motives, or tactics, we all have principles and basic believes we stand by. Even if the Republican party has tapped into that political resource and used it as a weapon or reason to win votes, as you claim, it wouldn’t matter. You can not ask someone to turn their back on their fundamental values and beliefs based on a theory, and even if it was a proven fact, I still wouldn’t support or be part of any party that blatantly disregards those very values and beliefs. You can not ask people to turn on themselves, it’s like leading them into internal conflict. That’s sick, no wonder people are lost and confused.

That is the answer to all if you disagree, you're a racist. I get it all the time and I'm probably the least racist of any. According to S Man I am the very epidomy of racism. I sure hope he doesn't tell my friends.
I have never heard racism from any of your blogs but S man has he can turn every honest comment into racism. That's all he has in his repertoire.

In the aftermath of the mass movement for civil rights, which mobilized millions of black workers and youth with the support of substantial layers of the working class and middle class nationally, it was less and less possible to gain political office through open appeals to segregationism. Instead, the Republican Party evolved a sort of political code, in which opposition to welfare programs and advocacy of “states’ rights” took the place of overt defense of white supremacy.

The political meaning of this language was clear to all involved. One incident demonstrates the method: Ronald Reagan’s decision to launch his 1980 general election campaign with an appearance at the Neshoba County Fair in Philadelphia, Mississippi, the site of the most notorious crime of the civil rights era, the murder of three young civil rights workers in 1964. When Reagan delivered a speech in which he declared, “I believe in states’ rights,” he was giving his tacit support to the maintenance of the social and economic oppression of the black population, even while the outward forms of legalized racism had been eliminated.

From then on, the Republican Party cemented its domination of the South, and especially of the states of the Deep South, which were the poorest and most backward in terms of social conditions, and where segregation and racial terror were practiced in the harshest form. By 1994, when the Republican Party won control of the House of Representatives and the Senate for the first time in 40 years, it controlled the bulk of the congressional delegation from the southern states,

First of all, my best friend and I will be right behind Andilee in line for every freebie we can get. Medi-cal, Medic-Aid, Food Stamps, Cash Aid, etc...if Obama's elected. I can not believe that my husband busts his BLEEP working and serving his country, while others get things for free. I am disgusted by people who pay for their groceries with food stamps, wearing so much bling, it'd make Mr. T jealous. This is BS! I received help at one time, so I know how screwed up and abused these programs that Obama loves are, most people just take advantage of them.
We’re not rich, I wouldn't even say we're middle class, (but trying) we are a family of seven that struggles and we do the best we can. I know that anyone who works hard, loves their country, and wants to do the right thing, will make it just fine without any help from anyone. I am furious at the government for bailing out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac!!!! Damn. More BS. If those people where stupid enough to get loans they couldn’t afford or didn't take the time to read, SCREW THEM! I can not believe that we will have to pay about $3,000 OUT OF OUR POCKET next year, money my husband earned, in taxes to help out those idiots!!! My kids could've used that money for new shoes, or jackets, whatever- but no, I've got $3000.00 LESS for my family to bail out some ignorant moron. ugh! I am starting to really dislike Democrats.

Did anyone watch the footage of New Orleans being evacuated last week? Was it just me, or where most of the people in line waiting for the bus, Black?

Check out the prison stats.

The girl who cussed my daughter out, was she White?

The girl who jumped my daughter, was she White?

When a judge asked all White people to step out of his court room because he needed to speak to Black people ONLY, why did he do that?

Like I said Jay, I would like to know where you live cause it sounds fab.

IT IS NOT RACIST TO DISLIKE SOMEONE OR TO POINT OUT THE OBVIOUS ABOUT A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO ARE CAUSING PROBLEMS.
I don't care what your race is, and I wont ignore facts either. Seeking justice is not racist. Pointing out the obvious about a group of people who need to get it together and obey the law, instead of abusing the law, is not racist. Wanting people to take care of themselves and stop taking from me and mine, is not racist. Wanting the best man to lead this country, is not racist. It's intelligent.

From what I understood, that money will help people who are about to loose their home. Are you telling me that none of that cash will go to those people? Is it ALL going to the shareholders and executives?

I think prices went up as a result of gas as well. But if the business owners get a break, so will we. It makes sense. Obama will raise taxes to, so what's the point of voting for him? Not just that, but I don't think it's OK for doctors to perform late term or partial birth abortions, or that same sex couples should get married just like men and women. That isn't right Jay. A civil union and equal rights is one thing, but why does it have to be "marriage?" That's just some things I don’t like about Obama. I think McCain will do much much much better, so I will be praying McCain~Palin win.

"But what does the race of the girl who did it have to do with McCain or Obama?"

You tell me. Why was it that the student in the class who harassed my daughter for not supporting Obama was Black? Why didn't the White students cuss her out? It's just one example of many I could bring up about how race is apparently very relevant, as is sex, and it doesn't make me racist for pointing it out. I just happen to have the balls to do it.

I’m sorry Jay, but Obama’s policies will NOT help me or my family one iota. If anything he will harm us, he will put my family in danger with his desire to negotiate with terrorists who can not be reasoned with. What if they look at Obama as weak? What if they think they could attack our country knowing Obama will do nothing about it? Why didn’t a Democrat, Bill Clinton, (whom I like and respect as a person) assassinate Osama when he had the chance? Why did we wait until 9/11 to go after these lunatics?
We can not negotiate with Muslim extremists, that has been made painfully clear. Why is Osama still walking around? I beg my husband to shoot that bastard if given the opportunity. We need to go into Afghanistan, we need to find Osama and hang him, while maintaining a presence in Iraq for two reasons: American show of force in the region to protect our interests as well as our country from further attacks, and help the Middle Eastern people. We’re not only protecting our interests and ourselves Jay, we are protecting an entire region from Muslim extremists who would reap havoc on their own innocent people if given the chance. We are a noble country above all else, why can’t you see that?

I don’t care if homosexuals do anything together. I want everyone to have the same and equal rights. But why do they insist on marriage? Why don’t they understand that by asking me to accept them as “married” and by asking me to accept homosexuality or abortion, and not look at it as what it is, a sin, they are asking me to turn against my God? That is very wrong and very selfish of t

That is very wrong and very selfish of them and of everyone who supports them. Why does it have to be all or nothing?

How can Obama expect to negotiate with terrorists, when he can’t even come to a negotiation between good, peaceful, Americans? His own people?

Poverty does destroy society’s, as does corruption and abuse. What happened in France, could happen here as well. Politicians shouldn’t think too highly of themselves, nor should they ignore their constituents. This is why I like McCain and Palin. McCain listened to Americans when they stood against him regarding illegal immigration. He said “I heard the American people, and we must FIRST protect our borders, before trying to pass immigration reform”. I like that about him, at least he listened, as opposed to Obama and Hillary who called us “ugly and racist”.

Yes. McCain has always been pro-life and although he believes as I do, equal rights for everyone, he’s always thought that marriage is between a man and a woman. Or show me proof otherwise.
McCain is a Christian man who trusted God and turned to him when he needed to, this is very important to me Jay. I need to know that my leader will pray and follow God’s word when making decisions or in his hour of need. This is non-negotiable. An atheist president is out of the question, as is a Muslim. The day that happens, I will live elsewhere.

Money is NOT everything, to me. I choose values, ethical conduct, morals, principals, and beliefs, instead of money. I could die poor and homeless here on earth, but not in spirit.

McCain wont change abortion laws, eventually homosexuals all across the country will legally marry and Christians will be beheaded for saying it’s wrong. So what? The point is we will hold on to our God and our beliefs till death. McCain is NOT saying abortion and homosexuality are OK, that’s why I like him. He understands me, he believes as I do. McCain and Palin are just like me, SPIRITUALLY, they are my brother and sister in Christ. NOTHING is more important. God and Country FIRST.

I knew you would try to label Christians extremists and compare us to Muslims eventually. I was waiting for it. But I can not believe you actually did it. I thought you where smarter than that Jay.
Christians are NOTHING like Muslims, Arabs, or the least bit extremist. Anything but. Christians are tolerant, kind, patient.
You use Sarah Palin’s belief that creationism should be taught in public schools along side evolution as if it was a bad thing. What I find hysterical is that you don’t realize how Democratically American she is. She said it should be taught ALONG with science/evolution, not exclusively. It is you and those like you that are more like extremists by FORBIDDING creationism be taught in the first place. What harm could come of it?
You ask me, “How do homosexuals marrying affect you in any way?” Well Jay, how does teaching different perspectives to evolution or creationism affect you in any way?

"her clock cleand"???

I didn't realize we where having a discussion on ghettoness 101. Girl please. If I've been patient with you it's because of God's strength in me, but don't confuse my good graces with weakness or make the mistake of abusing them. As tired as I get of having to explain myself to those of you who need it, I'll amuse you one more time.
I made those comments in retrospect to statueman's erroneous accusation that I might be racist. Now although I realize just about anyone can read my comments, with all due respect, they where not meant for you. They where meant for statueman in the hopes that he would engage them with the assumption he understood them in the first place. Now please do go play elsewhere. Yes? Thank you sweetie.

I’m 36 and THANK GOD I don't live in sunny SO. Cali anymore! ***PALIN '12!!!!!!!*** Governor Sarah Palin is someone I admire, respect and look up to. She's inspirational, an excellent role model, and ready to lead. She'll hopefully go to the Senate, then run in 2012. I WILL BECOME A CITIZEN JUST SO I CAN VOTE FOR HER. She's already got my daughters and husband's vote. We might move to Alaska now that Indy went...blue??!!
