With John McCain having now chosen Alaska governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, both veep candidates are in place, and it's time for a quick historical reminder of just important these "number 2s" can be. Since 1900, no fewer than five U.S. vice-presidents have ascended to the presidency under emergency circumstances...

-1901, Teddy Roosevelt becomes president when William McKinley is assasinated.

-1923, Calvin Coolidge becomes commander-in-chief when Warren Harding succumbs to illness.

-1945, Harry Truman becomes POTUS when Franklin Roosevelt dies in office.

1960, Lyndon Johnson becomes president when John F. Kennedy is murdered.

1974, Gerald Ford enters the Oval Office when Richard Nixon resigns in the wake of the Watergate scandal.

Now, with Joe Biden and Sarah Palin in place, the 2008 McCain-Obama debate can continue with an added question:  In the event of illness/assasination/scandal, which-if either of- these VP choices is ready to be the Leader of the Free World?

This has to be the biggest lowest blow to women since women had the rights to vote. This reminds me of how black people during slavery were only allowed to bow their heads and shuffled their feet.

 

What the hell was Senator McCain thinking? Look, Gov. Palain I’m told may have all the necessary qualifications to govern her State. But, we all know she have no experience of anything else. She was a city council elect and a mayor before her appointment.  Putting that little bit together about her, what is left?  SHE IS A WOMAN! Oh, my! So that means since Senator Obama did not chose Senator Clinton to run as his V P, Senator McCain would break the ice. Senator McCain over looked others twice as qualified just to have a woman on his ticket. In summary; Senator McCain may say she is the right person for the job. But, he truly knows that this could look like a form of favoritism and discrimination. To think the women of the United States of America should allow them self to be used like this is a very low blow to all women. Senator McCain’s has the right to choose a running mate it is his sole choice. The choice he make and why is the people of America rights to know. Most women are saying Senator McCain’s right of choice is truly, "WRONG". It sends a bad message to government executives who have the power to choose. And many business executives that we can and will over look others even if they are qualified, because we have the power to do so.

Q:  Why did John McCain select a female, Alaskan VP?

Remember George W. Bush and his son, George H. W. Bush?  What about H. W. Bush’s Grandfather?  Yep, him too.  (He helped build the privately owned Fed – those are the people who make and distribute our currency…that’s right…a private corporate entity – that is, not an agent of our government in any way.)

Just add McCain and there’s George Bush v4.0. 

I believe the Bush Regime is to Enron as a McCain Government will be to Alaskan oil drilling and environmental concerns.

B:  Hillary’s supporters are still uneasy without her in the running and he thinks adding a woman to the ticket couldn’t hurt. 

As for Mr. Obama – I’d like to suggest he Keep the “Change” as he still feels like smoke and mirrors to me.  Where is the money going to come from, Senator Obama?  Refresh me...what is your foreign policy, again?

Experts say hundreds of thousands of Americans may have lost their homes due to a bill championed by Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., Barack Obama's vice-presidential running mate.
At least two studies have concluded that the United States' foreclosure crisis was exacerbated by a 2005 law that overhauled the nation's bankruptcy law. That conclusion is echoed by other experts, although the banking and credit industry disputes it. Congressional Republicans drove the effort to pass the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) of 2005. But Biden – who has enjoyed hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign donations from credit industry executives – endorsed the measure early on and worked to gather Democratic support for it.

Biden's early and vocal support was "essential" to the bill's passage, said Travis Plunkett of the Washington D.C.-based advocacy group Consumer Federation, which opposed the measure. Biden "went out of his way to undermine criticism of the legislation," and his efforts helped convince other Democrats to support the bill.
"Biden was a fairly strong proponent of that bankruptcy bill," said Philip Corwin, a consultant for the American Bankers Association, which represents banks and lenders. However, Biden was "not in our pocket in any way," he added. Biden's Senate office did not provide comment for this story.

Asked if the Obama/Biden campaign was concerned Biden's record was a liability when discussing economic security, David Wade, a spokesman for the Obama/Biden campaign, said, "Barack Obama and Joe Biden have real solutions for struggling families in danger of losing their homes because of the Bush economy and abusive lend ing practices."

BAPCPA "is directly responsible for the rising foreclosure rate since the end of 2005," concluded a 2007 study by Credit Suisse. The law "increased foreclosures and the number of homes for sale," echoed a July 2008 study by U.S. Treasury researcher David Bernstein. That study estimated the law had pushed foreclosures or forced sales on 200,000 homeowners since it went into effect, but noted that was a rough, "back-of-the-envelope" calculation.
"Trying to tie the forclosure crisis to the [2005 bankruptcy] bill is a stretch," said the ABA's Corwin. Corwin called the Credit Suisse report "junk" and said the Bernstein study wasn't "worth the paper it was written on." The head author of the 2007 Credit Suisse report clarified his earlier findings in an email Wednesday. "The law likely contributed to increased foreclosures early on," said researcher Rod Dubitsky, but combined with other key factors, including subprime lending practices, to create the current crisis. Bernstein did not respond to a request for an interview.

The bill was backed by banks and credit card companies including MBNA, which is headquartered in Delaware, Biden's home state. They wanted the bill because it would make it harder for Americans to use bankruptcy to avoid repaying credit card debt. MBNA executives had been Biden's single largest source of campaign donations, and MBNA has employed Biden's son Hunter as a co mpany executive, lobbyist and consultant. The Obama campaign has said Hunter Biden did no work for MBNA on the bankruptcy bill. MBNA has since been bought by Bank of America.

Over the past two years, sub-prime mortgage borrowing and a weakening economy have pushed increasing numbers of Americans into dire financial straits. Under the old rules, many could have declared bankruptcy, shed much of their debt, restructured their mortgages and held onto their homes, according to experts and the two reports.

But the 2005 law Biden championed made it more expensive and more difficult to declare bankruptcy, experts conclude. That forced hundreds of thousands of distressed homeowners to sell their homes, or default on their mortgages, after which the bank would sell their former home, according to the studies. That flood of homes going up for sale in an already-weakening market further depressed home prices, according to the two reports, snowballing into the current crisis.
BAPCPA "increased home foreclosures, increased the dollar value of financial assets in default, and put additional downward price pressure on real estate markets," concluded the Bernstein report. Bernstein conducted the report as an individual, not as a representative the Treasury Department.

McCain taps Sarah Palin to be first ever female Republican VP nominee

 

DAYTON, Ohio –  John McCain will introduce Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his vice presidential running mate at an event here at noon Friday, senior campaign sources confirmed to FOX News.

Palin emerged earlier in the day as the hot name in the VP sweepstakes after reports circulated that two short-listers — Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty — were out of the running.

Adding fuel to the Palin candidacy was a report that a charter aircraft from Anchorage owned by a McCain supporter had arrived at a small airport outside Dayton, Ohio, where McCain has scheduled a noon ET rally to announce his choice.

FOX News reported the jet flew to Flagstaff, Ariz., on Thursday before heading landing in Middletown, Ohio.

Palin is considered a rising star in the Republican Party. She is the state’s first female governor, the mother of five — and at 44 is its youngest chief executive.

FOX News confirmed Thursday that McCain had made his selection and would appear with his pick at the Dayton rally.

Born in Idaho, Palin moved to Alaska with her parents, to Charles and Sally Heath, when she was 3 months old.

She grew up in Wasilla, just outside of Anchorage, and played on the Wasilla state championship girls’ basketball team. She was crowned Miss Wasilla in 1984 and was a runner-up in the Miss Alaska pageant.

Palin studied journalism and political science at the University of Idaho and graduated in 1987. She eloped with her high school boyfriend,  Todd Palin, in 1988 to save money on an expensive wedding. She helped out in her husband’s family commercial fishing business and appeared occasionally as a television sportscaster.

Palin won a seat on the Wasilla City Council in 1992 as a new face and a new voice, and by opposing tax increases. Four years later she was elected mayor at 32 by knocking off a three-term incumbent. At the end of her second term, party leaders encouraged her to enter the 2002 race for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor. Against veteran legislators with far more experience, Palin finished second by fewer than 2,000 votes, making a name for herself in statewide politics. She was elected Alaska’s youngest and first woman governor in 2006.

Sarah and Todd Palin have five children: boys Track, 19, and Trig, 4 months, and daughters Bristol, 17, Willow, 13, and Piper, 7. Track Palin joined the Army last September and will deploy to Iraq on Sept. 11. Palin gave birth to Trig, who has Down syndrome, in April and returned to work three days later.

Palin will be the second female vice presidential candidate from a major political party. The first was New York Rep. Geraldine Ferrarro, who was Walter Mondale’s Democratic running mate in 1984

 

 

WOW!  What a great pick.  Palin will tap into the Clinton backers that have been spoken about so much but more importantly she'll also simply attract moderate females.  Her record is short but impressive as she has carried a near 90% approval rating as Alaska's Governor.  Anyone wondering about how McCain could possibly steal Obama's post speech thunder can wonder no more.

Jimmy Carter- an embarrassment to the Democrat party, the USA and himself.

We should have known there was a problem when in 1973, while Governor of Georgia, Carter filed a report on his 1969 UFO sighting with the International UFO Bureau in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. (He saw ET?)

 

During this campaign Carter falsely referred to himself as a "nuclear physicist", when interviewed. (Lying about his credentials – no surprise)

 

In 1973 his decisions sparked an oil crisis and forced oil prices to rise sharply, spurring price inflation throughout the economy, and slowing growth

 

During Carter's administration, the economy suffered double-digit inflation, coupled with very high interest rates, oil shortages, high unemployment and slow economic growth. Productivity growth in the United States had declined to an average annual rate of 1 percent, compared to 3.2 percent of the 1960s. The mortgage rate during the Carter administration rose to an all time high of 18% and made the dream of owning a home for too many in the middle class unimaginable. (At 18% it is like buying your house again ever 5 years).

 

Carter was also criticized by the feminist author and activist Andrea Dworkin for ignoring issues of women's rights in Saudi Arabia. (didn’t have a backbone for confrontation)

 

Instead of clear and concrete action against the enemy, the only foreign policy Carter advocates is friendly relations with other nations, especially our enemies. (Carter never met a dictator or terrorist he didn't want to "break bread” with.)  Jimmy Carter's  Presidential decisions are an  “unbroken series of mistakes and miscalculations" punctuated by the 444 days of the Iran hostage crisis, when Carter stood passive and paralyzed, his only attempt at action ending in a pathetically under-supported, doomed rescue mission. If one were to look for a moment at which America lost credibility and respect in the world, this would be it.

               It was also the moment that created the terrorist threat we face today. It allowed an Islamic theocracy to establish itself in Iran, becoming the leading sponsor of terrorism in the Middle East for the last 25 years. And it showed a generation of Muslim fanatics that terror attacks and hostage taking—the very strategies now employed by our enemies in Iraq—could defeat America. In short, Carter presided over the most important foreign-policy failure in the last quarter of a century. Yet he has the temerity to project its results onto the policies of the current administration.

 

              Does anyone remember who brokered the 1994 deal in which the Clinton administration agreed to provided food and oil to North Korea, in exchange for its promise not to develop nuclear weapons—a promise the North Koreans promptly broke, allowing them to threaten us with a nuclear bomb today? That's right: it was Jimmy Carter.

 

He has also in recent years made anti-Semitic statements and has gone even as far as to deny the holocaust.

 

Now Jimmy Carter has made derogatory statements against a war hero, and POW prisoner. In a recent interview Carter said that “McCain was 'Milking' P.O.W. Experience”

Carter, I don’t know how you could make such a statement as that describing McCain’s service. Words that describe McCain are Honor, patriotism, hero, where you Jimmy Carter could only cower in the White House when up against negotiations with the Iranians.

Who is the better candidate Barack or McCain?  Before answering that may we should have the opportunity to view the Republican National Convention.  The DNC was great and very inspiring.  What did you think of it?

As the nation awaits the historic nomination acceptance address by Sen. Barack Obama in Denver Thursday night, I'm struck by the setting as much as by the speech.  Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium is a massive venue best suited for football, not political speeches.  The stage area has been designed to resemble an ancient temple- complete with large columns.  It makes me wonder whether the Obama campaign will- someday soon- regret their decision to move the DNC party here, from the more intimate (?) Pepsi Center. Twice now, the Obama camp has come up with a clever, outside-the-box idea, only to take it one step too far and suffer the consequences. 

Remember Sen. Obama's overseas trip back in July?  Obama was greeted by world leaders as something more than a mere candidate-- he was greeted as an equal.  Then the campaign decided to wrap things up with a huge outdoor rally in Berlin.  It seemed like a great idea at the time:  show off the then-presumptive nominee's massive appeal to our European allies.  But then a funny thing happened.  The GOP turned the event on its head- using the visual imagery to attack Obama as a "celebrity," loved by Europeans and so, not quite American.  Ask yourself this: Which campaign has used the video from that rally more often and to greater effect since the event?  McCain's.

Then there was the clever, 21st century plan to notify supporters via email and text messages of Sen. Obama's choice of a running mate, so they'd be the "first to know."  Good idea.  Cutting edge.  But the Obama camp took it too far, trying to keep news of the choice a secret for nearly two full days after the candidate had made up his mind.  The result?  The text messages/emails went out to supporters at 3 am Saturday in the East- Friday midnight in the West.  The vast majority of Obama supporters were fast asleep when the message was sent.  And by then, the dreaded Mainstream Media had already learned the secret and broken the news, rendering the whole exercise a waste for those frustrated supporters. (of course, the campaign got a whole new list of  potential donors).

The idea behind the Invesco Field speech is to allow regular folks- not just delegates and party insiders- to experience this moment in history.  But if Sen. Obama comes off looking like a rock superstar, with 75,000 swooning fans begging for a brief glance or wave, we may once again see that a good idea- taken too far- can quickly turn into a bad one.

Putin accuses U.S. of orchestrating Georgian war

 

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has accused the United States of orchestrating the conflict in Georgia to benefit one of its presidential election candidates.

 

In an exclusive interview with CNN's Matthew Chance in the Black Sea city of Sochi Thursday, Putin said the U.S. had encouraged Georgia to attack the autonomous region of South Ossetia.

 

George Bush and John McCain instigated and pushed Georgia into conflict with Russia. Condalesa Rice working on behalf of George Bush push the president.  The president paid McCain’s top advisor over $800,000.00 and made numerous campaign contributions to McCain.  This was a game to them. When Russia retaliated and killed thousands of it’s people, McCain and Bush sent more threats, but watched.  Instigated the conflict and

then abandoned the people.  McCain earlier in the year stated that he needed a good warto boost his qualifications to be president.  At what expense.  Thousands of lives in Georgia. Out of Control. No Leadership.  Unstable and instigating the draft and WWIII.  No Way, No How, NO MCCAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

 

The thousands of American lives lost in a war that should have never happened because it was based on lies, deception, manipulation, selfishness, irresponsibility and lack of  conscious by Bush.  After all it was primarily only the middle-class and poor who were the soldiers fighting for American Freedom.  Bush took advantage of the American people at the most vulnerable time they ever witnessed in their lives with 911 and lied and said Osama Bin Laden and Sadam Hussein were responsible for 911 and possessed weapons of mass destruction.  Then Bush lied again with McCain and said Mission Accomplished.  After 6 years and thousands of lives lost and changed and many more of our American soldiers were electrocuted, not because of the enemy, but because our government (Bush and McCain) supplying them with substandard barracks and not properly equipping them with the best.  In addition, there are many injured soldiers who have come back and lost homes, and can’t get proper benefits for a hard fought war they put their lives and families on the line to fight and to come home to Bush and McCain rule and denial of proper benefits.  McCain is an unstable Hothead.  What kind of hero or soldier would deny all other soldiers proper benefits??? Is he better ????? McCain is an elitist that believes he is above other soldiers.  He doesn’t have to worry about benefits or loss of house or family or children.  With 7 houses and multimillion or billions of dollars he and Bush has, he does not care.  He now additionally wants the draft and is instigating a war with Russia and a draft to take our remaining children and make them go to another war instigated on lies and money.  The American people didn’t get $800,000.00, but McCain did.  We are not Georgians.  We are Americans. Was it inappropriate/appropriate for Barack to kiss Biden's wife on the lips last night?

I'm very disapionted in the DNC. Becusae of Mr. Dean and the DNC corrupting the Primaries I will be using my right to write in my vote for Hillary and ask that other supporters of her to do the same. If the Dems. should lose the Election and we have another four years of the same, it cann't get much worst and we can send a message to the DNC. Howard Dean needs to go!!!

Forget the national polls.  The Democrats, meeting this week in Denver, will win the White House if they figure out a way to "flip" a tiny handful of states this November-- maybe just one!

George W. Bush won re-election in 2004 by beating John Kerry in the Electoral College 286-252 (270 electoral votes gets you the prize).  Assuming- and this is a safe assumption- that the vast majority of states will vote in 2008 the way they voted in '04, the Dems start this election in a 34 electoral vote "hole."  That means they must find 18 "new" electoral votes to win the White House, since their added 18 would also mean 18 fewer for the Republicans (18+18=36-- enough to overcome the 34 vote deficit-- you get the idea).

Where do the new votes come from?  States that voted "red" (Republican) in '04 that can be flipped to "blue" ( Democrat) this time around. Florida is worth 27 electoral votes.  If the Democrats flip Florida and keep what they won last election, they take the Presidency.  Ohio, too, is a big enough "flip," since it's a "red in '04" state that's worth 20 electoral votes.  Or how about some combinations?  Like, for example, Virginia (13 electoral votes) plus Nevada (5) or New Mexico (5).  Or, say, Indiana (11 electoral votes) plus Colorado (9)?

Here's the problem:  All of the polling shows that while Barack Obama is putting lots of time/energy/money into these flip-able states, polling shows none of them is going to be an easy win.  In fact, most of the states are at best "toss-ups."  Without flipping Florida or Ohio, or some combination of smaller states, Sen. Obama cannot win the White House.

I watched the Michelle Obama speech last night waiting for the contraversial screw up, but never really noticed anything truely noteworthy.  I actually smiled when I heard Obama's daughter blurt out a "Hi Daddy" to her father when he appeared on the screen behind her.  That was a precious moment, a moment that would make a any parent feel good.  This was an unscripted child reaching out to her father to say I love and miss you daddy.  But It seemed to contradict Barrack's script.  He was supposed to say something about where he was, and who he was with.  This was extremely important for some reason.  Perhaps it made him a better candidate, or more of a democrat.  Whatever the case, it was extremely important to say his lines.  Apparently more important than truely acknowledging his child's very cute attempt at attention.  Maybe she has a habit of interputing?  Maybe she was told to be quiet and didn't listen?  Whatever the case may be, maybe Barrack should have embraced the moment with his daughters, said hello, asked how they where, or showed how extremely proud he was.  He should have done anything, if not for his kids sake, but for the viewers sake.  He was live in fornt of milions, press like this doesn't come every day.  And when it does, do not ignore the terribly cute child, especially your own, to get on with the script.  This could have been an endeering moment in time, instead, it was just plain awkward.  And yes, Obama finally did say hi to his daughter, but I think it was like her third attempt to get his attention.

I would like the Office of the Inspector General to investigate and I have attached additional supporting e-mail, background and evidence of continued “Obstruction of Justice” and other crimes . I requested investigations per the attached with Attorney Generals Offices in DE, N.J. & PA. Parties are conspiring to prevent me from retrieving my own 1999 & 2000 1040 Tax records since 2006.   I am the victim of Attempted Murder, an F.B.I. Cover Up, a victim of police intimidation and other rights violations. As previously reported I  believe that F.B.I. agents attempted to kill me in the summer of 2007. I initially thought it was malpractice by Virtua Hospital located in Voorhees, NJ as I reported to Camden County, NJ prosecutor Josh Ottenberg in the fall of 2007. Camden County did not investigate any of my claims?  Someone at Virtua Hospital continued to remove a significant amount of blood from me during my overnight stay there leaving me extremely weakened. It took numerous injections of B-12 and steroid shots administered by my doctor Julian Maressa to regain most of my strength. I have attached proof of the injections I received. I ‘ve been trying to file an “Obstruction Justice Charge” against my neighbor and former friend Bill Dicola of the F.B.I. , “Theft By Deception” against my former spouse Marni Weiss-Mills and other charges. I believe the F.B.I. has ordered law enforcement and other offices in DE & N.J. not to help me? Intitially this tragedy of injustice started as a civil court matter involving my divorce. I tried to handle this as a civil matter but this is a serious criminal matter and needs to be investigated. I tried to reopen my divorce and have a motion filed in Burlington County Superior Court to Subpoena the last 10 Yrs. of Trust Fund Tax Returns and 1999, 2000 Full Federal Tax Returns. My Former spouse Marni Mills of 1323 Crofton Court Mt. Laurel, NJ removed Tax records from my former marital residence of 5 Sherman Lane Sicklerville, NJ 08081. My former spouse hid full contents of a Trust – The “Marni-Weiss Trust” from me during my divorce proceedings worth millions. I believe my former wealthy father in-law Stacy Weiss of 713 Bentley Court Moorestown, NJ used his wealth and influence to pay off my attorneys with assistance from the F.B.I. so that they perform poorly. I believe the F.B.I. became involved to specifically to cover for my divorce attorney James Vogdes who is also a municipal court judge in Camden and Burlington county NJ.

I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY WOMEN FIGHT FOR EQUAL RIGHTS , YET BELIEVE THAT IT IS ONLY THE WOMEN RIGHT TO DECIDE TO BRING A CHILD INTO THE WORLD AND THE MAN IS FORCED TO SUPPORT THAT CHILD .  DON'T GET ME WRONG IF A WOMAN MARRY A MAN HAVE HIS CHILD AND THAT MAN LEAVES BY ALL MEANS HE SHOULD CONTINUE WITH THE SUPPORT OF THAT CHILD ! IF A MAN AND WOMAN DECIDE TO HAVE A CHILD TOGETHER AND DON'T CHOOSE TO BECOME HUSBAND AND WIFE AND THAT MAN CHOOSES TO LEAVE BY ALL MEANS HE SHOULD PAY CHILD SUPPORT . OR IF THE WOMAN LEAVES SHE SHOULD PAY CHILD SUPPORT IN EITHER CASE !  BUT IF A MAN MEETS A WOMAN IN THE BAR GET DRUNK AND HAVE A ONE NIGHT STAND , THE CONDOM BREAKS AND A WOMAN GETS PREGNANT SHOULDN'T THEY BOTH HAVE TO MAKE THE CHOICE AND OR HAVE RIGHTS  ABOUT THAT CHILD BEING BORN ? EVEN IF THEY ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP AND THE CHILD IS NOT PLANNED SHOULDN'T  THE MEN AND WOMEN HAVE RIGHTS OR A CHOICE AS TO THE BIRTH OF A CHILD ? YES IT'S THE WOMANS BODY , BUT IT'S THE MANS MONEY THAT HE EARN WITH HIS BODY . SO SHOULDN'T HE HAVE A SAY ?  SOME WOMEN USE CHILDREN AS ATM'S , THEY DON'T GIVE BIRTH BECAUSE OF THE LOVE THEY WANT TO GIVE THE CHILD , BUT FOR THE MONEY THEY CAN RECIEVE !  I BELIEVE IF CHILD SUPPORT LAWS ARE CHANGED THEIR WILL BE LESS FATHERLESS AND MOTHERLESS CHILDREN IN THE WORLD . IF YOUR NOT RESPONSIBLE AS A WOMAN YOUR NOT A WOMAN YOUR A GIRL WHO PUT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF YOUR CHILD ON OTHERS !  NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG , WOMEN SHOULD HAVE RIGHTS BY ALL MEANS .  BUT IF WE WANT EQUAL RIGHTS THEY MUST BE JUST THAT  EQUAL !  AND IF A MAN TELLS A WOMAN THAT HE DO NOT  WANT TO BRING A CHILD INTO THIS WORLD HE SHOULD HAVE THAT RIGHT OR CHOICE OR AT LEAST HE SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO SUPPORT THE CHILD OR NOT ! I HAVE QUESTIONS CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH EDUCATED NON JUDGEMENTAL ANSWERS ! 1. WHY IS MARIJUANA ILLEGAL , YET ALCOHOL IS LEGAL ? 2. WHY IS EXODUS 20: 13 AND EXODUS 20:15 ALSO LAWS BUT NOT EXODUS 20:14 ? 3.  WHY DO WOMEN FIGHT FOR EQUAL RIGHTS FOR WOMEN , YET WOMEN  HAVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE A CHILD AGAINST A MAN WISHES AND OBTAIN MONEY FOR HER DECISION THROUGH CHILD SUPPORT ? WHERE ARE THE MEN RIGHTS IN THIS IF WOMEN WANT EQUAL RIGHTS ?

Which millionaire will really help us?

I came across an article that was posted by WABC News New York the other day.  It told a strange tale about an inventor who had buit his own pilotless drone. And it was not just some strange guy holed up in a basement crammed with screwdrivers , hammers, saws, and assorted power tools. No, no. Indeed, this guy had built a drone large enough to hold more than 600 pounds of explosives in its belly so this baby had to be rather large. The real deal.

Somehow, word of this guy’s work had leaked to the local authorities who notified the NYPD who notified the office of New York state Homeland security. As far back as February these folks kept an eye on this guy and his work. You see, he violated a few laws.  According to Commissioner Kelley, “…the engineer building the drone never reported his work to any agency including the Federal Aviation Administration or local authorities. Investigators said concern increased for a time when they learned the man behind the project was an Egyptian national who had entered the U.S. on a Sudanese passport.”

This drone was capable of flying for 8-10 hours, Clearly this drone was no model airplane and this guy was no model airplane builder. Imagine that drone hauling a lethal payload of dirty bombs or equipped with spray canisters that could spray deadly toxins for 8-10 hours. Ah, so you see the point here.

According to WABC News, “…Police surveillance video obtained by News 4 New York shows a white van rolling onto the tarmac, a small group of men jumping out and ground testing the unmanned flight vehicle.”  Needless to say, the Suffolk County cops, the NYPD, and the anti-terrorists must have  been close to messing their pants when they say this van roll onto, “… a little-used airstrip in Calverton, Long Island.”

But not to worry. All the folks involved were apparently satisfied that this guy was just your simple, run of the mill, absent-minded professor type who forgot to notify the FAA of his plans. After all, he said he had hopes of selling it to the military—ours, I assume. No harm no foul. No foul, no penalty. Case closed and everyone lives a little wiser and a little happier ever after.

Come on guys! Are you kidding me? There must be a lot more to this story. I am no reporter but I have a few questions so bear with me a moment:

1.    Who was this inventor?
2.    Was HE the Egyptian national with the Sudanese passport?
3.    Was that his backer?
4.    Why didn’t he notify the FAA if he was seriously trying to be legit?
5.    If this drone turned out to be successful, how did this one guy in a basement  plan on making enough to sell to the military. Must be one heck of a large basement.
6.    Why would one do a test on a rarely-used out of the way airport?
7.    Why would one do a test at night on a rarely-used out of the way airport—at night?
8.    Who were the guys in the white van?

Question: If he was who and what he claimed too be, wouldn’t it make more sense to test the thing in the daylight where you can see the results of your handiwork ? Wouldn’t it make sense to videotape it so you can analyze its performance?

I have a lot more questions but these are good for starters.

So, though the local officials have spun a tale about this guy who just didn’t think, and now all’s well that ends well, as for me, I’m betting that there are a lot of  police, sleepless in Long Island.

Little Known Heros of the Revolution

The Boston Massacre

March 5th 1770.  The Boston Massacre....Crispus Attucks was not only the First  American Martyr of the Revolution, he was also the Organizer and leader of the Crowd that confronted the British Soldiers at Boston that day.    He was also the Formost in Resisting the British Soldiers and as a result the First one Killed.   

In 1851 there was a Petition presented to the Massachusetts Legislature for the appropriation of Funds to build a Monument to the First American Martyr of the Revolution, Crispus Attucks.  The Petition was denied.

On the 5th of March, 1776, Washington repaired to the intrenchments. "Remember," said he, "it is the 5th of March, and avenge the death of your brethren!"

The Battle of Bunker Hill

June 17th 1775, The Battle of Bunker Hill.   Patriots after surronding the City of Boston, took up postions on the Charlestown Peninsula on top of Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill North of town across the Bay.   During this battle between 1,500 American Patriots and 2,400 British Soliders took part.  While the British did take both Hills they suffered Heavy losses.  British casualties were about 1,150 killed and wounded, while the Patriots suffered 450 Killed and wounded.  

But out of those who died 2 famous People were Killed in the Fighting.  A Patriot named General Warren and a British Major of Marines Pitcarin.  The Little known Hero is the Man who Killed Major Pitcarin was named Henry Hill.   After the Battle he was was presented to General Washington for his heroic Fighting and the killing of the Major.   In Pictures made of the Battle he was at First a Prominent Figure, but over time he has been forgotten and ingloriously left out.

Henry Hill also fought in the battles of Lexington, Brandywine, Monmouth, Princeton, and Yorktown. He died in Chilicothe, on the 12th of August, 1833, aged eighty years. He was buried with the honors of war and eventually forgotten to History.

Dorchester Heights

On March 4th, 1776 Boston.  Washington received 59 Cannon from the Captured British fort of Ticondaroga.  Overnight the Patriots Constructed Fortifications and installed the Cannon on the Heights overlooking Bristish occupied Boston.   This move eventually led to the British evacutaion of Boston on March 17th, 1776.  March 17 is celebrated as Evacuation Day in some Massachusetts communities.

But one Little known Hero is James Easton.   James Easton, of Bridgewater, was one who participated in the erection of the fortifications on Dorchester Heights, under command of Washington.  His talents were invaluable in the Construciton of the fortifications.

 Mr. Easton was a manufacturing blacksmith, and his forge and nail factory, where were he also made edge tools and anchors, was extensively known, for its superiority of workmanship. Much of the iron work for the Tremont Theatre and Boston Marine Railway was executed under his supervision. Mr. Easton was self-educated. When a young man, stipulating for work, he always provided for chances of evening study. He was welcome to the business circles of Boston as a man of strict integrity, and the many who resorted to him for advice in complicated matters styled him "the Lawyer." His sons, Caleb, Joshua, Sylvanus, and Hosea, inherited his mechanical genius and mental ability.

Crossing of the Delaware

December 25th, 1776 Trenton.  In a daring tactic, General Washington in the Dead of Winter decide to attack the town of Trenton.  In the middle of the night and during a snow storm the Patriots crossed the Delaware River and then attacked the Hessian Mercenaries and British Troops occuping the Town.  It was an absolute and complete Victory.

A Little known Hero was Oliver Cromwell.   He enlisted in company commanded by Capt. Lowery, attached to the Second New Jersey Regiment, under the command of Col. Israel Shreve. He was at the battles of Trenton, Princeton, Brandywine, Monmouth, and Yorktown.   Cromwell was brought up a farmer, having served his time with Thomas Hutchins, Esq., his maternal uncle. He was, for six years and nine months, under the immediate command of Washington, whom he loved affectionately. "His discharge "at the close of the war, was in Washington's own hand-writing, of which he was very proud, often speaking of it. He received, annually, ninety-six dollars pension. He lived a long and honorable life.  He lost three sons and three daughters; had fourteen children who reached the age of maturity--seven sons and seven daughters. He saw his grand-children to the third generation. He was a man of strong natural powers--never chewed tobacco nor drank a glass of ardent spirit. He died, in the town of his birth, January 24th, 1853.

There is another little known Hero at the Crossing.  Prince Whipple was a Body Guard to General Whipple of New Hampshire, who was an Aid to General Washington.  In the Engraving done of the Night of December 25th 1776, Prince Whipple can be seen Proudly riding Horseback, next to General Washington and General Whipple.   More Modern Artist's failed to add him to other renditions of that Glorious day. 

Prince was beloved by all who knew him. He was the "Caleb Quotem" of Portsmouth, where. he died at the age of thirty-two, leaving a widow and children.

The Spy of Lafayette

One Little known hero is James Armistead Lafayette.   James was a man who Volunteered his service to General Lafayette of the Continential Army.  So impressed with this Man General Lafayette asked  him to be a Spy.   Upon agreeing to this task, he was able to get himself employed by the British General Cornwallis.    Cornwallis was also so impressed  by him that he in turn, asked him to spy for the British Army.  So James Armistead started Feeding the British false information till the Surrender of General Cornwallis.  So perfect was the Acting of James that not until Cornwallis met James in the Headquarters tent of General Lafayette, did his true identity and mission become known to him.   James was so fond of General Lafayette that he took his last name as a sign of his loyalty and appreciation.   The Service provided by James and the success of his mission was immeasurable to the success over Cornwallis.

 

Americans All..

What some of you may have already figured out is that not only are these American Heros.   But they are American Heros that happen to be African American.   The reason for not including this earlier, is because it matters little what the Color of their skin was.  All that matters is that they are Heros, American Heros that fought for not only Our Liberty and Freedom, but their Liberty and the Freedom of Future Generations.

The Continential Army was so integrated by the end of the Revolutionary War, 1/4th of it was made up of African Americans.   The United States would not see this kind of integration again for another 200 years.  

These are not all of the Hero's of the American Revolution, there are many more of many different Races and Sexes.   But the Fact that they Fought and many died for all of us.....is what matters.

They Were...........We Are..............Americans All...
