In the case of Michael Devil (Devlin), should he get a fair trial? This case is high and dry and my true feelings are, there is no trial, he should be put away and the key thrown away. Most often a trial is needed, I'm not saying throw anyone believed to be guilty in prison, but in cases like this, its a no brainer.  Tax payers money will be waisted, this family will have to suffer as this case is tried no matter how long it takes and a lot of emotional damage is still be done. Whats your take on this?

Everyone should have a fair trile but people like devlin should get punished as bad as they can punish him. I realy hate yes hate people who abuse kids.I hope he gets life and suffers in prison for what he has done.

Oh %$#@%^#%@$!#@%@^#% I would like to say NO!!!! But it is in our constitution that you get a fair trial and a jury of your peers. The good thing is, he WILL get what is coming to him.LOL I hope he pleads guilty and that will be that.

The ironic part about this is that "most" of the people who are worried about getting a fair trial are the ones that are 120% guilty. I'm sure there are cases where an innocent person has to worry about prejudice and what not, but more times than not its purely an attempt to stall or get out of the crime they committed. As far as Devlin goes.......lock him up and throw away the key.

A fair trial is a good thing. The stupid, ridiculous ongoing nonsensical appeals and prison benefits sucks and is actually attractive to scum like Devlin. I say back to basics, guilty beyond a reasonable doubt as a jury determines and death by hanging should follow no later than 30 minutes after the verdict is read. Devlin will do fine in prison, he will walk funny for a few days but will adjust to prison football. Who knows he may start out a tight end, but will soon play wide reciever.

Fair trial for all criminals? I say yes, only because there ARE innocent people who are are accused of crimes they didn't commit. (No, I'm not one of them and have no family members wrongly incarcerated.) :)

As for Devlin, well life in state prison (save Federal for the Martha Stewarts of the world) with no possibility of parole. To sentence him to death means at least 12 - 15 more years of having to hear his name mentioned during the appeals process and much more cost than feeding his sorry azz 3 times a day and letting his new found friends have at him. (Football analogy here O-Guy.)

I won't be surprised if his attorney's bail on him before his fair trial is over, of course then the book and movie deals won't pay quite as much, so who really knows. Only time will tell!

As for protection of Devlin, he needs to be miserable sitting in jail waiting for the process and wondering where his life will end. For him to get blown away making a court appearance right now would be too easy an out for him. Who was the P.A. who said "we get first crack at him?" Too many people want a crack at him!

I agree. In cases like this where they are high and dry, NO trial. But then that's unconstitutional. I could not be one of the jurors sitting in on his trial because to me HE IS GUILTY already. They found Ben AND Shawn in his apartment. Shawn had been with him for 4+ years. Soooooo, why would Michael even be considered innocent???

I think that Micheal Devlin should be put to death, no questions asked. He's guilty no doubt about that. Since he wants to be a pervert and hurt children he should have no rights, therefor no trial. Just the gallows.

Love jazz and watching Hells Kitchen, Top Chef, Top Model, Maury (peternity shows), Judge Mathis and Divorce Court. At the top of this list, I love listening to a good sermon forever increasing my faith in the Lord. Also as you can see, I'm a reality type of girl and on the that topic, make the most of every moment you have with your friends and loved ones it might be your last time in their presence. Memories last a life time while material things come and go.
