What do you think about the expense of Roses on special days like today?  I told my husband in an around about way, dont get me any Roses because they are too expensive, die fast and I hate the smell of them.  I would rather have a beautiful bouquet of mixed and exotic flowers that smell much better and last a lot longer.  I love colors and mixed bouquets supplies all my needs =-) .

No problem, if you need someone to talk to and pray with you, i'm not what you call a holy roller, but the power of God especially in my years of being a single parent, was so real. my e-address is faithvfaith@yahoo.com. i feel sometimes my name was designed by destiny (God).

I have asked everyone I know to stop giving me flowers because I am allergic to them. 4 lillies on the altar at church made my eyes swell up, my mother in law spotted them. Roses are almost as bad, but with sneezing. Now that I've figured out which flowers are the worst, I will spend this spring digging all of the lillies and roses out of my garden and giving them to a friend. Hopefully that will make it possible for me to enjoy an occasional afternoon outdoors this summer.

Roses are nice and beautiful. I personally yellow tea roses to the regular red ones. Roses are expensive and die quickly. I'd rather have a guy buy me a nice blouse or purse or a piece of jewelry. Something that lasts.

I prefer carnations to roses. My cats prefer just the baby breaths LOL. When my hubby brings me flowers he gets extra baby breaths for my kitties to eat

My son gave me roses for Valentine's day - I love them and I have always told him and his father to give me the flowers while I'm still alive to smell them. No need for flowers when I have passed away as I won't be able to smell or see them.

I agree. I would MUCH rather get a plant that I could put on my desk at work that I can watch grow rather than roses which only last a few days.

Love jazz and watching Hells Kitchen, Top Chef, Top Model, Maury (peternity shows), Judge Mathis and Divorce Court. At the top of this list, I love listening to a good sermon forever increasing my faith in the Lord. Also as you can see, I'm a reality type of girl and on the that topic, make the most of every moment you have with your friends and loved ones it might be your last time in their presence. Memories last a life time while material things come and go.
