A USA Satellite Hero.  He also contributed to who I am.  I got to know him personally via my daughter-in-law's father who knew him and told me all about him in 1981.  I confirmed it all by talking to a V.P. at Comsat back in 1981.  Comsat threw out his Monograph on Satellites and they told me I could have it.  I still do.  I wrote to him to thank him for my job. He sent me a postal card agreeing he still was "hurt" because of the creation of Comsat and added that it was something that I was a female working in this area.

In order for me to understand music theory, I had to consult with Ph.D.'s in Music who were engineers.  We'd use computer talk in soc.music theory group in 1998-2000.  I'm glad J.R. lived so long.
