Well it seems that John McCain is a man of his word who honors his commitments. This past week he did turn up on    "The David Letterman Show!" Okay, okay, maybe it’s just me….but this’ll make him a better candidate because?? I’m guessing that McCain went on the Late Show to take the focus off what’s becoming…"The Sarah Palin Chronicles!" She appears on SNL, and they get their highest ratings! Not to mention, she did better than McCain! What are they going to label this...."Unreality TV?”  

With not much time left and with our economy in shambles, I’m hoping that they don’t pick our next Secretary of The Treasurey by making them contestants on ‘JEOPARDY!’ AND PICKING THE WINNER! 

So come on Barack, why don’t you jump on the silly train with the rest of them? Ya know what? Screw the election, why don’t the candidates just settle this on ‘The Family Feud?’Or maybe a Fooze Ball tournament?  Rock, Paper, Scissors?

I think that we ALL agree that the state of our COUNTRY…NO the entire WORLD is in deep trouble. So what I’d like to know is if we’re looking toward the next election to turn things around, what are our candidates doing on Leno and Letterman’s shows?

McCain cancels an appearance and David Letterman reprimands him? This is a man who wants to be the next President and he’s intimidated by David Letterman? God only knows what’ll happen if he ever gets a call from Vladamir Putin!

What’s next, Dancing With The Deligates?

I  wouldn't be surprised if in addition to mud slinging, they’ll be mud wrestling with Sarah, and  holding the debates at The IMROV.!

Before you know it campaign posters and fliers, will be replaced by 8X10 glossies and Bio’s!

I’m in the market for a new car.  This time, however, I’m looking for an economical Hybrid. 

What I’d like to know is how can it be considered “economical” if they START at $30,000 dollars???  Where’s the economy in that??

Common sense keeps telling you that driving habits will have to change because the price of gas is going through the roof!!  But I’m not just looking to find more affordable fuel options.  I’m also looking for something that’s environmentally friendly!  I’d like to fit into a smaller car, but I’m a big guy. 

Instead of the government telling US all to conserve why aren’t they encouraging auto makers to ALL make more fuel efficient and AFFORDABLE vehicles???  If they can outlaw smoking in public places, un-hands-free cell phones while driving, and make you wear seatbelts, why can’t they put the kibosh on cars with gas guzzling V-8 engines??

Am I the only one seeing this?? As voters, we’re supposed to have power.  Wanna know something?  We got nothing!!!  We’re fighting ALL of the SPECIAL INTEREST groups, but without our elected officials backing us, we have absolutely NO AMMO!!

These “groups” cry poor-mouth but yet still manage to take their astronomical BONUSES!

How can they be stopped??  The government should be backing alternative power vehemently and listening to our pleas.  It’s what they’re in office for!  In the meanwhile, I’m still looking for an AFFORDABLE hybrid….a quest that is like DRIVING YOUR CAR WITH THE BRAKES ON!!  Something keeps holding you back!

Am I the only one who feels this way?  How about the rest of you out there?

   Who’s watching the store??  Who’s keeping tabs on banking, insurance, medical and energy costs??  Apparently NOBODY!!

   After we elect someone into office, aren’t they supposed to take care of business??  If they see, and it’s impossible NOT to, what’s happening to interest rates, mortgage rates, (especially adjustable mortgage rates which supposedly gave people, especially young people who are trying to get into the housing market, a chance at buying their own home, HA! HA!), shouldn’t the hopeful buyers be better advised??  Shouldn’t mortgage bankers be better regulated?

   Shouldn’t our government be watching over insurance companies who pick and choose WHO and WHAT they are willing to insure??  And what about senior health care, with their infamous DONUT HOLES??   Isn’t it sad that when you seek employment, one of the top priorities is the retirement and more importantly the HEALTH CARE benefits??  A lot of people will choose a job based on those benefits, not necessarily because they want to work there!   They’re allowing us all to be scammed with double talk, slight of hand and fancy footwork while the executives line their pockets.

   And let’s not forget about trying to heat your home, fuel your car, and paying your electric bill.  WE know the energy market is totally manipulated…How come the government doesn’t?  Oh, do ya think maybe THEY are in on the manipulation??

   When are OUR politicos going to step up to the plate and stop these fast talking crooks from ruining our life styles and more importantly OUR COUNTRY??  We have an important election year coming up and these issues have to, no MUST be addressed.  Let’s roll up the carpet and get everything that’s been swept under it OUT INTO THE OPEN!!!  Our votes supposedly count for something.  Oh yeah…PROVE IT!!

     Some of the rules of comedy writing have changed.  You can no longer say that somebody is too fat, too skinny, too black or white or ethnic....because it now is considered "POLITICALLY INCORRECT"!!  It doesn't involve politicians, they seem to still be fair game....But poking fun at ourselves is "POLITICALLY  INCORRECT"??   What's that all about??  IT'S MEANT TO BE FUN!!  It's never meant to hurt anybody.  It's just us laughing at each other and ourselves!

You wanna know what's REALLY politically incorrect?....POLITICIANS are POLITICALLY INCORRECT!!  Elections are coming up and they keep promising this and promising that, but when they're elected we get neither this nor that!!!  In my view that's "POLITICALLY INCORRECT"!  The cost of heatlhcare  in this country is through the roof!!  Banks are allowed to run rough-shod over us and impose impossible interest rates on credit cards, mortgages, loans... Aren't those politico's we put into office suppose to protect us from that highway robbery???  That's "POLITICALLY INCORRECT"!!  At a time when citizens are retiring and entering into the GOLDEN YEARS...that house that started out as the American Dream has become "THE AMERICN NIGHTMARE"!! They're being forced into selling and moving away from their loved ones, both family and friends.  Or being talked into reverse mortgages just so they can survive!  The cost of healthcare and perscription drugs is so high that in many cases it exceeds their insurance, giving them the choice to either buy food or medicine.  I find that  extremely gross and definitely "POLITICALLY INCORRECT"!!  Or to put it another way....It just plain STINKS!!  It IS however POLITICALLY CORRECT to focus on the Greenhouse effect, saving the planet, making things better, striving for longer and healthier lives....But what good is it for everyone to LIVE longer if no one looks after us and regulates banking and insurance so that we have ASSURANCES that WE'RE ALL PROTECTED....Also I'd like to know if BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING...Just who is he watching??
