Another Possible Strategy in Iraq

Should we or shouldn't we? Oh, I am no longer talking about invading Iraq, I am talking about declaring victory and leaving Iraq. The day Bush declared vistory on the big ship (excuse my apathy and ignorance), we had already won. The day Bush found Saddam, we won again. And when he was put on trial and hanged, we won a third and fourth time. Yet, we stayed in Iraq to 'do it for them' to ensure 'our team' won. Over 4,000 people of our people died, trillions of my money that I wanted to use on education and health care was spent on people half way around the world, and inflation went through the roof because my taxes didn't (we traded one for the other) and we had already won 4 times.

Now, I was against the Iraq war from the beginning, but was willing to give Bush some rope. Like you, I hoped that his decisions were sound and it would cost what he said it would, which it would have cost had we left 3+ YEARS AGO. There was no need to hold their hands. They had enough initiative to figure it out themselves and we could have just helped out here and there like we do with Israel. Instead, we have chosen to hold their hands instead of stand tall and fight for your beliefs. Which is also ironic since we always say they are the ones to risk everything for their religious and political beliefs.

 

Many Iraqis want to get rid of Saddam Hussein just like many Iranians want to get rid of AHmadinijad, however, none of them want those people to be replaced by foreigners. They want the opportunity to fight it out amongst themselves. And with just a little bit of assistance from us, the right compromise would been struck. Let's face it, it isn't bragging when I say that our military could kick their military's butt if our guys had one hand tied behind their backs and were hungover from shenanigans from the night before which is why Israel still exists. What would have been important, though, is that we would have forced the Iraqis to fend for themselves. We would have 'shown them how to fish, rather than just given them fish'.

I thought we did force the Iraqis to fend for themselves?

Those rifles in the hands of the Iraqis soldiers look alot like modern day fishing poles to me.

Think about this...... Ms. Clinton had something on Obama. A birth certificate is a matter of public record. I wonder where it is. We know that Obama refuses to release his birth certificate, and for some reason it is not on file in Hawaii, so that makes this VERY interesting!

So is Obama Legally Eligible to Serve as President?............

Barack Obama is not a legal U.S. Natural-born citizen according to the law on the books at the time of his birth, which falls between December 24, 1952, to November 13, 1986. Federal Law requires that the office of President requires a natural-born citizen if the child was not born to two U.S. Citizen parents. This is what exempts John McCain, though he was born in the US Panama Canal Zone . US Law very clearly states: '. . . If only one parent is a U.S. Citizen at the time of one's birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for minimum ten years, five of which must be after the age of 16.' That Barack Obama's father was not a U.S. Citizen is a fact. Obama's mother was only 18 when Obama was born. This means even though she had been a U.S. Citizen for 10 years, (or citizen of Hawaii being a territory), his mother fails the test for at-least-5-years- prior-to Barack Obama

his mother fails the test for at-least-5-years- prior-to Barack Obama's birth, but-after-age-16. In essence, Mother alone is not old enough to qualify her son for automatic U.S. Citizenship. At most, 2 years elapsed from his mother turning 16 to the time of Barack Obama's birth when she was 18. His mother would have needed to have been 16 + 5 = 21 years old at the time of Barack Obama's birth for him to be a natural-born citizen. Barack Obama was already 3 years old at the time his mother would have needed to be to allow him natural citizenship from his only U.S. Citizen parent. Obama should have been naturalized as a citizen . . . But that would disqualify him from holding the office. The Constitution cle arly declares: Naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of President. Though Barack Obama was sent back to Hawaii at age 10, any other information does not matter because his mother is the one who must fulfill the requirement to be a U.S. Citizen for 10 years prior to his birth on August 4, 1961, with 5 of those years being after age 16. Further, Obama may have had to have! Remaine d in the USA for some time frame to protect any citizenship he might have had, rather than living in Indonesia . This is very clear cut and a glaring violation of U.S. Election law. I think the Governor Schwarzenegger of California should be very interested in discovering if Obama is allowed to be elected President without being a natural-born U.S. Citizen, since this would set a precedent. As far as the Mission Accomplished banner that seems to be a major dancing point by some do you remember why the President was meeting the carrier?/? IT WAS BECAUSE THERE MISSION WAS ACCOMPLISHED OVERSEAS! they where returning HOME their tour in the mid-east was complete they where being welcomed home by the Pres. as the first carrier and escorts to complete their tour of duty.
Also you might notice the Iraq gov. has a constitution it took us a lot longer to form one (11 years) has a military, security force and even a Navy! teach them to fish YES we have .

The only strategy in Iraq we need is to win. It would be a waste of the American that have died there to pull the troops out before the country can run itself.
Let us not forget the leftist aka progressive were the ones that brought America in to Vietnam all in the name of freeing a country from communism. How many lives did that leftist aka progressive wishy washy fiasco cost America?

You claim to be a teacher, would you pass a child who was incapable of doing the work required for passing? I'll answer for you,of course not. It is the same with the Iraqi situation. We are teaching them to care for themselves. In the history of the United States how many years did it take to perfect our constitution? How many years before women got the right to vote and how many years was it until blacks in this country had equal rights? Do you somehow believe that the Iraqi's are smarter and more educated than our fore-fathers? Why then would we hand them the keys to democracy and not stick around to see that they had the proper fuel to run with it. Our leaving prematurely would be an open invitation for the Iranians to come in and force them to accept their radical beliefs. They haven't found their George Washington yet but with patience they will.

I was in favor of the war, but wanted to go in bomb the whole place and get out. If we had done it quick and took neary the whole place out, it would have sent a message to anyone else who's goal is to bring down America.

Back when democrats were still men President Truman ordered two atomic bombs to be dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These were major civilian cities where over 200,000 men, women and children died within the first 5 days, and at least another 100,000 died within the next 10 years from the effects. That ended the war in 1945, the Japanese surrendered. Certainly the greatest generation; could we accomplish victory in such an unselfish and horrible war? Or would we picket and argue while we called our Senators and Congressmen demanding an end to such a sacrifice. After all, the enemy were just people like you and me. Thank God our ancestors fought this war for they knew what duty, honor and country meant. The losses today would be unthinkable and so would the sacrifices at home.

Save the lives of your friends and family, vote for universal health care and a free world market of pharmeceuticals. Vote Democrat on Nov. 4. Save the lives of mothers who experience complications in their last trimester; that they may have the choice to continue their life caring for the children they already have rather than die during child birth. Vote Democrat on Nov. 4. Save the psyches and perhaps lives of rape victims that they cannot be raped of their choice to preserve what little of thier body they feel they have left.
