Alright, alright, I believed you guys when you said that a fence and laws prohibiting employers from hiring illegals would work. Well, the fence was a big waste of money, but the laws seemed to be working. That or our economy is so bad there is no reason to head up to the US looking for work, after all, they don't speak English. But, that wasn't enough for you rich Arizonans, no, you wanted Joe to waste more money arresting landscapers.

 

So, let's see what the sweeps in Mesa netted, other than a disgust for the Sheriff's office and racial tension. According to Joe, he arrested, ready for this, 14 illegals. 14 illegals took what, 40, 50, 100 hours worth of pay? And, here is the kicker, 9 of them were already being arrested by the police dept and ICE in an operation that arrests 2-3 times as many illegals as Sheriff Joe. THerefore, Joe only managed to arrest 5, yes 5, illegals, that's it!!! And you rich people from Arizona who don't understand that the state budget is broke are all too quick and eager to support him spending all of this money to do a job for which the federal govt. should pay and not the state of Arizona. Brilliant.

The only ones disgusted were the illegals and the idiots that love them. MOST people were glad the sheriff was man enough to do his job.

I heard a higher number. How much higher do you think the number would have been if Asscone wouldn't have leaked the sting details to the public. If Mesa PD was doing a sting to arrest hookers and johns and sheriff Joe anounced it to the public and ruined the sting, people would think Joe was an ass. Well, they think Asscone is an ass for ruining Joes roundup.

Ken--the numbers came from the Sheriff's office. How many more illegals would he round up if they just did their jobs and arrested people with warrants? Heck, the streets would be a lot safer if the bad guys were arrested and the landscapers were left alone. THe landscapers would head back to Mexico without wasting tax payer money because of the laws and there is no work for them right now.

Research IMPACT which is the joint effort of the PPD and ICE. They are arresting hundreds weekly. Channel 12 did a piece about what they are doing behind the scenes. Joe could learn a lesson from them.

He shouldn't be doing these sweeps which is why he has to tell people about them first. If he just went to businesses that were breaking laws, he would be much more successful. One only has to remember the incident at the waterparks a few weeks ago.

First of all get off your high horse. Not all of us are rich Arizonan's. Being rich or poor has nothing to do with illegals getting arrested. Illegals are getting arrested because they're committing a crime.
Second, 5 is better than none. Joe is doing a job that Mesa PD should be doing. You hear in the news every day about all the crime in Mesa. If Gascon were doing a great job Mesa wouldn't be mentioned as much as it is.
Ken is correct. If Gascon didn't have such a big mouth there would have been so many more arrests.
Gascon should be ashamed he turned on his fellow LE brotherhood. If I were in LE I wouldn't trust him with my life.
If Mesa and ICE were arresting many illegals then why didn't they sit down with Joe and let him know what they were doing? Joe is doing a job that needs to get done. If other LE is attempting to do the same then they need to work together, not against each other like Gascon is doing.

Joke is a slagged off filty liar. I am very against illegal aliens as well as political grandstanding, media whoring, and posturing for "dream matches" like Gascon Vs. Arpio......and yes 5 illegal aliens does not justify the cost and harrasment of everyone along with the inflation of that fat heads ego. BALLZ TO THAT!!!

Splat--Joe knows what the police and ICE are doing, he just doesn't care. He is an elected official and has to keep up appearances no matter the cost. Joe knew that IMPACT was arresting 9 people that say. He knew and then claimed he and his posse helped them, which was a complete lie.

My point wasn't that you are rich. My point is that Arizonans think that this state is so rich that they can afford to waste countless hours on arresting petty, very petty criminals. So, you are a rich Arizonan, or at least think you are.

Ha! If I were a rich Arizonan I'd be donating some of my millions to Sheriff Joe and his posse for more assistance to rid us of the illegals.

If you look at the amount of tax payer money that has been paid out for the many lawsuits brought on to The Joke, both settled out of court and paid through the court system, you too could probably find a better way to spend the money... his vigilante tactic’s have gone WAY over the line. He’s had his day... It’s time for some new blood!

Yep Splat, you missed the point. Ablaze's point is that it is fine for Asscone to undermine an effort of a fellow law enforcement agency to save illegals from getting arrested. That way we can spend more money sending Joe back again without notice so he can do the job without interference and round up more illegals. Why do the same job with one sweep when you can do it twice for twice the money is what she is saying.

IF and that a big IF, Sheriff Droop Along does go back to Mesa it will be general knowledge because he can't keep his mouth shut. The "story" will leak out to a News Media before it happens. He needs his ego stroked so he makes sure someone knows about any of his operations. He can't help pimpin his BLEEP-bag self to the media. Get on the HOOOOOO TTTRRRRAAIIINNN!!!

Anybody that wants a fence along the border of the USA and Mexico has never heard of the Berlin wall. That fence never stop anyone with the desire to leave a screwed up country. So how is a Berlin wall on Americas southern border going to stop people with a desire to come to a free country?
Why not just increase the penalty for hiring illegal immigrants?
Why not just increase the penalty for renting a house or room to illegal immigrants?
Why not just increase the penalty for helping illegal immigrants to cross the state line?

If you want to help someone why not help a person that will obey the laws of America?

The "profiled, detained, forced attestations, that proved American Citenship and American Naturalization. No biggie, by a "pronderance of evidence" your rights have been waived and due to your tail light being out, that is why we profiled, pulled you over, and treated you like a "domestic terrorist"

What about the other 15? Why is it that you never hear about the "ramped-up" arrests that result in third party claims against your tax dollars.

How about writing someting on Immigration Reform. Instead of taking pride on a people who just got a "Z" on their chest. Your tatoo is coming, don't worry. It will look like this.
