Random thoughts from my massive cranium

Wal-Mart recently has began making changes in the stores and some of them have been good. But they have made some really really bad ones that have caused me to not only write this blog but to find alternate places to spend my money. The first bad decision was to stop selling firearms in their stores. They have changed the inventories around and carry less choices of products. They are discontinuing layaway. The final straw... beginning in April, ALL associates will be scheduled for only 5 hours per day. How can they expect people to live on this!!! How do they figure a single mother with one or two kids to pay rent, food, elect, and all the other things her family needs on 25-30 hours???

You must ask yourself...Do I want to give my money to a company that devalues their employees as much as Wal-Mart?

What happened to the slogan " Our associates make the difference"?
I'm sure Sam Walton is spinning in his grave seeing what has happened to his once great company.

It's going to be a K-mart Christmas this year I can tell you.

How do you think the Waltons got so rich? Certainly not by being concerned with anyone's welfare but their own.

Wal-Mart has a pathological history of disregarding anything or anyone who stands in the way of them making a buck.

Who pays for health care for Wal-Mart employees? YOU THE TAXPAYER

Who pays for all the lost American jobs caused by Wal-Mart? THE TAXPAYER AND THE AMERICAN WORKER

90% of the merchandise in Wal-Mart is MADE IN COMMUNIST CHINA

and the list goes on and on and on....

DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY AT WALMART.

I cannot agree more to all the above comments. Just live in a small community and ask Wal Mart to help sponsor something. I am shopping less and less at Wal Mart. There are communities that fight to keep them out and as much as I know they are a magnet for other business they are also a cancer on the community and small business. Lets make a pack and see who can stay out of Wal Mart the longest....! Ready, set go....!

I agree with all statements that have been posted. I too will have a K-Mart Christmas. Remember when Wal-Mart first started? Sam Walton said we will sell only American goods. Now 90% of everything in the store is Chinese.

A K-Mart christmas? have you forgotten what K-Mart did during 9-11, and that K-Mart was Rosie O'Commie's sponsor during her TV tenure of bashing our 2nd Amendment rights while paying armed guards to protect her children at school? Setting up Tom Selleck on her talk show? Only in an extreme emergency would I shop at K-Mart, and even now am questioning Wal-Mart? Seems as citizens our choices are slowly diminished by huge corporations.

Maybe we all need to spend a little more on neccessities by buying from local businesses, and stop buying so many things we don't need at Wal-Mart and K-Mart. They are professionals at enticing us to buy things we don't really need thereby leaving us without the money to buy what we do need, unless we buy from them. I have also found that I can do my grocery shopping at local stores and save money by watching their ads and using coupons. And have you noticed that when Wal-Mart drops the price on one item, it seems that the price goes up on several others? Let's not show the "Big 2" how dumb we can be!

I have already started Chistmas shopping and it isn't Wal-Mart. It is QVC and Penny's on line. I also drive the extra miles and do my grocery shopping in Festus at Schnucks since DeSoto's Schnucks was forced to close.

The Wal-Marts around me look like a tornado went threw them! They are one of the trashiest stores I have ever seen and the worker's are rude. I do not shop at them or K-Mart. I choose to do my shopping at the Mom & Pop stores.

They are upgrading the Wal-Mart on telegraph and turning it into a Super Wal-Mart. I hate to see any grocery stores near by hurt over it. I won't spend my money in Wal-Mart. I'd rather go to Target.

I'll agree with everything bad you have to say about Wal-Mart. I hate the place.
What did K-Mart do during 9-11? Are we sure its not just another one of those internet/email stories made up like the one about Target?
You can usually find out if stuff like that is true on snopes.com, but I couldnt find anything about K-Mart on there.

I'm a Patriotic Right-wing extremist that most people find arrogant or offensive because they dont want to hear the truth. The things I say are not meant to insight anger or insult. They are meant to give you alternate views and look at things from a different angle. Sometimes I may respond to a blog being the devils advocate even though I may agree with what has been said.
