My best friend asked me to write a blog this morning about something we saw last night at the Blues game. When it comes to wearing socks and choosing which color to wear, do you match your socks to your shirt or jacket you are wearing, your pants, your shoes, your purse, etc? We are looking for a big response here so we can do our own poll.

Keeping everyone in great style! :-)

I just returned from Hawaii and experienced one of the biggest thrills of my life.  I went on the Skyline Eco Adventure tour.  This is the first zipline tour ever estabilished in the U.S.  Troy and Charles, our guides, were hilarious, informative and awesome at calming all of us down.  Prior to this I had gone skydiving so I wasn't too scared.  The view with the Ka'anapali tour was second to none.  We were zipping over waterfalls, through beautiful greenery.  It simply was amazing.  I highly recommend this as an event for your Maui vacation.  Go to  www.zipline.com for more information and be sure to ask for Troy and Charles...they call themselves the "B Team". LOL

This brings me to my question, what is the craziest thing you have ever done?

I featured an amazing salon on my Health and Fitness show on KMOX on Sunday, September 9th and have had several ask me about it since. I figured I would blog about it to give you the information and see what you liked to do to calm your nerves, pamper yourself and just whisk yourself away from stress.

Amarra Salon and Spa is located in O'Fallon, MO, just off Highway 40 and K. The owners, Doria Schneider and Sonja Grodeon are two of the warmest, most amazing women I have ever met. Their attention to detail is unmatched. The services they are offering are unlike any you have probably ever experienced. They are truly making waves in town. They are already catching the eyes of many elite magazines, being featured as one of the top spas in the area....pretty impressive seeing as how they have only been open for a little over a month!

The services offered are all in line with holistic, ayruvedic, therapeutic treatements. There is even a massage given to you by two therapists. It is called the four handed massage or Abhyanga. They also do an Ashiatsu massage where the massage therapists feet are on your back as she balances herself from two beams overhead. These are things you have probably seen in movies or heard about on the coast. Now it is here for you in St. Charles County. Go to www.amarraspa.com. Better yet, make an appointment and see why I am calling this my favorite spa EVER!  it is something you must see to truly appreciate!

How frustrated was I when I got to work yesterday and realized the department store I had just bought my white jacket from forgot to take off one of those security sensors. I wore the sensor on the air! LOL Did any of you see it? We showed pictures of it this morning in my 8am report. I laughed so hard but was also frustrated as this is the third time this has happened to me this year, from the same store! How many times has it happened to you and you had to go back to the store to have them remove it. Some have ink and some will tear your clothes if you try to remove it yourself! If you work at a store where they have these sensors, please explain to me how it doesn't go off when you walk out the door? What the heck is the point otherwise?

Driving in to work today I found the morning show banter I was listening to quite interesting. The male and female hosts were split on whether they think a woman should have to pay a man alimony in the event of a divorce. This was sparked by some top celebrity divorces. The female co-host didn't feel a woman should ever have to pay a man since, as she put it, "it is easier for a man to pick up and get a job due to his gender and make more money than a woman could."

Time for you to speak out...what do you think?

Here are some of the top 10 divorces in which the shoes was on the other foot.

Last week, Forbes.com issued a top 10 list of the most expensive celebrity divorces. No. 1 is basketball great Michael Jordan, who may end up paying Juanita, his wife of 17 years, more than $150 million. The money magazine also flipped the script to survey settlements paid by wifey, even though this is much less common.

J. LO: Up to $15 million

In 2002, pop singer/actress Jennifer Lopez reportedly paid backup dancer Chris Judd after less than a year of marriage.

KIRSTIE ALLEY: $6 million

Paying for chefs, nannies and exotic-animal keepers wasn't as shrewd as joining Jenny Craig for the spokesmodel, who divorced actor Parker Stevenson in 1997.

JANET JACKSON: About $10 million

Ms. Jackson, the current sweetheart of Atlanta music mogul Jermaine Dupri, became a tabloid target when her secret marriage to music colleague Rene Elizondo (right) was publicized in 2000. After being sued for $25 million, Jackson reportedly settled in 2003.

CHRIS EVERT: $7 million

In 2006, the tennis champ was served with a court order to pay her husband of 18 years, Olympic skier Andy Mill. He also got the $4 million vacation spot in Aspen.

JANE FONDA: $2 million

Shortly before her marriage to business titan Ted Turner, the Oscar-winning actress in 1990 divorced politician Tom Hayden (left), who used some of the money to finance a political campaign.

ELIZABETH TAYLOR: $1 million

The grande dame of divorce was saved by a prenup with her eighth husband, construction worker Larry Fortensky.

We get tons of email from viewers about our clothing, accessories, makeup, shoes, etc.. One of our viewers, named Vicki Babbitt said she has watched regularly at my vast wardrobe and jewelry and was wondering if I would be willing to wear some of her unique handcrafted pieces. If you pay attention this week you will see some gorgeous pieces that she has put together for me from her company synergemz.com. Vicki is partially disabled and has a hard time getting around but it hasn't stopped her, she has realized her potential and hasn't let a roadblock get in her way of success.

So far this week I have worn a necklace and earrings made of 8mm Denim lapis, gray onyx, Swarovksi crystals and smoky quartz all set in sterling silver (Monday's show). Today (Tuesday) I am wearing an off loom woven collar made of raspberry quartz, jade, olive quartz, swarovksi crystals and amethyst all with 14k gf clasp and hoops.

If you would like to see some of her work go to her website www.synergemz.com and find out how to contact her.

Remember that line from the 1987 flick Dirty Dancing? If you are as big a fan of the Patrick Swayze/Jennifer Grey movie as I, then you will want to buy tickets to the St. Louis' Regal St Louis Mills 15 tonight where they will be showing it once again on the big screen celebrating its 20th anniversary. You can purchase tickets through their box office or online at www.FathomEvents.com for $10.00.

There will be an exclusive 20 minute look inside the making of the movie along with interviews from the stars.

Oh yeah, don't forget to have the "Time of your life"! ;-) I'll be there tonight, will you? Share stories from that year and the movie if you would like!

Did you get a chance to see it at the Fabulous Fox this past week?  I hope so, it was magnificent.  I think it was ten times better than the last production that came through town.  The actress portraying Roxie Hart wowed the audience with her range and humor, Tom Wopat was an enchanting Billy Flynn and while noone can top Queen Latifah's version of Mama in my book, this Mama was pretty convincing :-).  Kudos to the cast and as always thanks to the Fabulous Fox for a top notch production.

This is the time of year fitness facilities see a drop in new members coming to workout after they made the resolution to get healthy for the New Year.  Why do you think so many lose their motivation?  Do you need a goal more than taking care of yourself, reducing your risk for diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure?
Every year I look for a new contest to hold at the gym where I personal train (Riverchase of Fenton),  motivation tips, nutritional assistance to give to those struggling, etc.  I have always had this nurturing side to me to try to help heal the world.  I am looking for ideas from anyone who has been in this boat struggling to keep fit and healthy and who has seen their weight go up and down and up again. What can gyms, fitness facilities, health centers and trainers do to help you get to the best life you have ever had and more importantly keep you on that path for life?

Did that get your attention? :-) Well it was the phrase shouted at me last night at a store that I have loved since I was 17 years old. Sym's on Manchester in Brentwood is unfortunately closing, this however does not give an employee the right to be extremely RUDE! I took this friend of mine to introduce him to the store that I have raved about for years and just as he was trying on a shirt that Sym's employees had meticulously pinned, put plastic and cardboard in the shirt collars, etc. we were told DO NOT OPEN ANY MORE SHIRTS!! I have never heard this and wanted to know if others had and also want to hear from employees who work at higher end stores who may do this same thing.

I asked why he couldn't open any other shirts and explained that with all of the friends I have shopped with we had always opened the shirts to try them on. He went on to tell me in an extremely ignorant way that it was the manager's department and I could ask him. I will say that manager handled things in a very appropriate manner, apologizing for this employee and just said that they had a policy that people could buy the shirts and if it was the wrong color and size they could bring it back. I think that is ridiculous especially since my friend lives in Elsah, Illinois. Also Sym's has long had a policy that the return policy was in store credit only. I think they have since changed that but still seems like quite a headache for shoppers. Let me know your experiences and thoughts!

This is a great time to gather your family and friends and drive around town to experience the "oohs and ahhs" of the best decorated houses and businesses. We need you to tell us who has the "ultimate" display so we can experience it for ourselves. I know a guy in Webster Groves used to get everyone's pick years ago and of course the Anheuser Busch display and Maritz are always fan favorites, but what is yours?

Aside from my work at Fox 2, I am also the host of The Health & Fitness show on KMOX Sundays from 1-3pm. I have been the Head Fitness Trainer at Riverchase of Fenton for almost 9 years. I also write a health article for Streetscape Magazine in St. Charles. As for my personal hobbies, some of my greatest passions in life all relate to music. I have been singing and dancing since I was 3. I have also been an athlete since I was a kid, excelling in the sports of soccer, softball and basketball. I am extremely close to my family and miss my father daily. We lost him September 12th 1995. He and my mom would dance and you would think it was poetry in motion. My mother is one of my dearest friends, I have two brothers and a sister, all of whom are older. I am blessed to have many friends and acquaintances. I also love animals and have a beautiful dog named Kyra, who just turned 8 in September. I also adopted Kailei from the Humane Society of Monroe County in May of 2007, she is an amazing puppy. She is being trained by Casey and Shelly Ray with Team Dog St. Louis. I swear they are just like Cesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer. They even have their own little pack :-). Give me my family, friends, a great man that I fall in love with, pets, music, sports, a nice restaurant, a good martini and a sharp sports car and I could live forever! :-) LOL. Thanks for reading.
