Good Morning,

It was another busy week and Cassidy and Carter are bonding well. It's so cute.. when Carter is sleeping Cassidy will go up to him, put her finger over her mouth and go HUSH! She wants to make sure no one wakes her little brother :)  Speaking of sleep.. Mom and Dad aren't getting much. Carter still has his days and nights mixed up. John and I have been sleeping in shifts to get us through the night. I figure Carter  is still on my work schedule... hopefully he'll get things flipped around real soon. If you have ideas on how to get the little guy on schedule we would love to hear them .

John and I are really looking forward to the Holiday. We have so much to be thankful for and count our blessings everyday. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving .. Thank you for all your kindness and words of encouragement.  Talk to you next week.

Tracy

Does Cj nap a bunch during the afternoon ? If so, you need to wake him up more and play with him a bit just put him on the floor for some floor fun should be enough to keep him awake longer. Then maybe you will be lucky enough to have him sleep m ore at night for you. My oldest daughter had her days and nights mixed up for the first 2 weeks after she was born. The nurse that came to t he house suggested keeping her awake during the day or putting her in her swing while I did my housework. She eventually started to sleep through the night at 6 weeks old and it was wonderful ! It will happen - just when he's ready, lol. He is adorable ! Your little girl is a baby doll as well :)

Hey Tracey, Here's what REALLY worked for me! During the day keep the baby around all of the activity going on. Let him nap in his swing or bouncey seat. Get a routine going at night! Very key thing!! Keep whereever he sleeps at night dark and quiet. He will soon begin to associate his crib or bassinet with LONG term sleeping. When he lays flat instead of reclining will also be a hint for him as well. This worked for all 3 of my kids! I read this and I can't remember where, but I swear by it!! Ours were sleeping 5-6 hrs a night by 4-5 weeks old! Waking a baby more during the day can help, but I never had any luck. My kids all slept when they wanted and there was no waking them!! They get that from me! Every baby is different and different strokes for different folks, but you asked and I'm sharing:) Good luck! He'll get it!!

I watched the show this morning...What fun! Your children are beautiful!!!! But I think the question on everyone's mind is how you lost the baby weight so quickly? (It would also make a great segment for the show). Did you follow a plan? Do you workout? Dish it...we want to know your secrets! :)

I don't know what the FOX8 agenda is, but if you have the goal of making the public think of you as "part of their family", then you've succeeded!

I love Fox8 because you make me feel like all of you are my friends. Actually, some of you I've seen in public (when you're not working), or I've met some of your family. You see, I run a very busy photo studio in Bath Township (near Tracy in Copley) and I photography thousands of people each year. Take for instance, I created Scott little brother's senior portraits a couple years ago. And, I see Todd when he's gets his boys pictures taken for team sports. So, it's easy to think of Fox8 personalities as my friends.

Tracy, today Kenny was at your home. Now, that's the kind of coverage that makes it easy for all of us to think of you and your family as part of our own..."Cleveland (and Akron's) Own".

Keep up the great work, at home and in the studio.

Well I watch your show every morning and you are just the greatest! Your kids are just abosolutly beautiful! Well I just heard this morning that little cj has still got his days and nights mixed up & has the acid reflux! Well here is a little bit of advice for you!

Keep him up as much as possible during the day and at night give him a nice warm bath! After the bath give him a bottle with about 2 teaspoonfuls of the baby rice cereal! I have 2 kids myself and it worked with both of them! It might help with his sleeping and his acid reflux! Some parents agree with me by doing this and some don't! But there is my advice if you would like to take it! Good luck with everything and we hope to see you back on soon!

Hey Tracey! Just thought I would share that I think CJ looks like you and Cass looks like John! Thank you both for letting us into your family! I really enjoy the weekly phone calls and updates you give! You have beautiful children! John better keep a tight leash on Cassidy! She's just beautiful! Everytime I see a picture of her, the first thing I notice is those gorgeous eyes! They say so much about her personality! Can't wait to read another blog and see more pics! Give the kids hugs and kisses!!

About Me: I was born and raised in Copley Township. I get up at 2 a.m. every morning and I hit the road while most people are still sleeping. This is the second time I have worked at Fox 8 News. I started here as an intern in the mid 90's while attending Kent State University. I basically started at the bottom and worked my way up. My first job at Fox 8 was ripping scripts for the Ten o'clock news and running the teleprompter for Tim Taylor and Wilma Smith. By the time I left Fox 8 for the first time I was producing the 8 a.m. morning newscast. I left for a short period of time to work on my skills as a reporter. I worked for a year and a half in Erie, Pennsylvania and spent time in Columbus before coming back to Fox 8. In 2000, Fox 8 hired me to launch Studio 8 at Summit Mall. Today, I am the morning co-anchor along side Wayne Dawson for Fox 8 News in the Morning from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. I love the fact people start their day with us. When I am out and about and I meet a viewer they always make me feel like I am part of their family. My work hours are great for raising two young children. I enjoy every minute I have with my husband, Cassidy and baby CJ. Oh, I can't forget our two big dogs Sam and Nikko.
