Good Morning,

What an incredible week!!!   We are enjoying every minute with our new baby.  Carter is such a good boy even though he has his days and nights mixed up... the little guy is still used to getting up with me at 2am.  The first day home was a little rough with Cassidy.  I think she was upset with me for leaving her for a few days and she didn't want to have anything to do with me when I got home from the hospital. She was fine by the end of the night when she crawled up next to me and gave me a big hug. Cassidy loves Carter. She is adjusting well to being a big sister. Her eyes get really wide when Carter cries and she giggles when I burp him.

John has been amazing!   He's cooking, cleaning, doing lots of laundry, changing diapers,  taking care of Cassidy and  manages to work full-time.  Mimi, Pa and Great-Grandma are also chipping in to help until I'm able to do more. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and family.

No doubt .. this has been a week filled with many emotions. John and I cried tears of joy when we welcomed Carter into this world, we laughed and laughed when John got squirted during the baby's first diaper change and we've had many sleepless nights in Akron. John and I absolutely love being parents and we're thrilled to share our great news with all of you.

Thank you so much for all the kind emails and phone calls. Enjoy the new photos!

Tracy

Congrats John, Tracy and Cassidy! Your new addition is a beautiful as your first. You are truly blessed to have such happy and healthy children and a great family to help out. I can not wait to meet our little one in February and to actually find out what s/he is since we have no idea. I have one bonus with my little one to be though. This one's big sister is 13 yrs old already. She may prove to be a big help! Well, I can at least hope. Right?

Hi Tracy! Don't worry, things will get better I promise! Wow, your 2nd pregnancy mimicks what happened when I had my 2nd baby so much! My son was upset w/me too, when Jim brought him to the hospital to visit he didn't want anything to do w/me. It's a horrible feeling isn't it?! But just as Cassidy did, he got over it in couple days. Then Taylor my 2nd one had her days and nights mixed up too. She was up from 3a.m. to 6a.m. and then Trent who was close to Cassidys age at the time would be up at 7, my husband was on the road for work at that time, I can't tell you the tears I cried! I'd stand at the window w/Taylor and show her outside and say "look, everyone else is sleeping but us." lol! She didn't care tho. Then my mom had some words of wisdom NOT...she said well, at least she's not crying or colicy (sp?)she's just up. Well, that was nice but didn't make me feel any better. lol! But things did eventually get better. I wish I could tell you how long it took but I can't remember.

Both your children are beautiful! Now, when is # 3 coming? JK!

Can't wait to have you back on air so our mornings are back to the usual FOX8 crew!! My 4 1/2 year old daughter asked were the "yellow haired lady with the baby in her tummy" was. When I told her you had your baby she said "Oh yeah, mommy when can we see it?" I sat her down at the computer and showed her the footage of C.J. and she got real quiet and started to pout. I asked her what's wrong and she said "Mommy, I don't want to see the baby on TV, I NEED to hold him now? Can he come over?" We had to go into this LONG conversation about how we know you from watching you in the AM, as she gets ready for school, but we don't know where you live. Trying to find the positive, I said, we can always look at pics on the computer. Without missing a beat, she grapped the phone book and said "here mommy, find her house!" I was speechless after that! I realized that I wasn't going to win the battle and just had to chuckle to myself! How are these little guys so smart? 4 1/2 going on 12...YIKES! I was floored with all of the quick responses she had. I had to share them with you and hope you enjoy the little story! Good luck on the new baby! We just had a boy in July after 2 girls and let me tell you it's a completely different world right from the start! Just keep his little weapon covered or you'll get shot!! You will be busy, but it will be sooooo worth everything! They will be close and the fact Cassidy and C.J. are different genders, I don't think you'll have the constant competition that my first 2 have! They are 3 and 4 (girls) and at each others throats quite often! I need to ask

About Me: I was born and raised in Copley Township. I get up at 2 a.m. every morning and I hit the road while most people are still sleeping. This is the second time I have worked at Fox 8 News. I started here as an intern in the mid 90's while attending Kent State University. I basically started at the bottom and worked my way up. My first job at Fox 8 was ripping scripts for the Ten o'clock news and running the teleprompter for Tim Taylor and Wilma Smith. By the time I left Fox 8 for the first time I was producing the 8 a.m. morning newscast. I left for a short period of time to work on my skills as a reporter. I worked for a year and a half in Erie, Pennsylvania and spent time in Columbus before coming back to Fox 8. In 2000, Fox 8 hired me to launch Studio 8 at Summit Mall. Today, I am the morning co-anchor along side Wayne Dawson for Fox 8 News in the Morning from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. I love the fact people start their day with us. When I am out and about and I meet a viewer they always make me feel like I am part of their family. My work hours are great for raising two young children. I enjoy every minute I have with my husband, Cassidy and baby CJ. Oh, I can't forget our two big dogs Sam and Nikko.
