Good Morning,

It's crunch time!!!  John and I are scrambling to get everything together for Cassidy's new baby brother. It's a little overwhelming thinking of all the things we need to do. We are still trying to come up with a name for Junior and the little guy still doesn't have a place to sleep.  I'm not stressing yet because we still have about a month or two to go. Just hope he doesn't come early -- yikes!  We've been talking with other parents with children born close together. The one thing we keep hearing is it's a lot of work and difficult at first .. but it's well worth it knowing they'll be so close when they get older.  Room or no room .. John and I are certainly ready for the challenge and so excited to share our love as we welcome a new member to the family.  Don't forget to check out my new pictures of Cassidy and have a great week.

Well, Tracy, as father of 6 I hafta tell ya, things really start becoming easier and more "automatic" as the family size grows. By the time lil' Mary (#6) showed up, we were throwing darts at names on a board, ordering EVRYTHING we needed online and having it delivered to the front door and putting the other 5 to work at getting it all ready for us! ;-p

Close together in age isn't very difficult at all, at least it wasn't for us, anyway. And it is very comforting when they hit school age and the older ones help guide the newly initiated along through the process.

You're both in for a real treat... well at least until they start asking for the car. YIKES!
GL2U both and remember, just have FUN with it!

I am so excited for you both! John doesn't want a jr? Cassidy is getting so big, my little one just turned 8 months so I follow your blog closely to see what I am in store for, it is very helpful. She has started standing and walking along the furniture already, so I am in for it in the next month or so.

Well I pray that your son is as healthy and happy as Cassidy and don't worry it will all come together, and you will be able to sit back and enjoy both your little angels!

By the way.. you are coming back to work, arn't you? do you have any idea when???

Good luck and God bless you all!!

Tracy,
No problem, you have a great plan. John watches the kids in the morning while you work and you watch them in the evening. Mine are 23 months apart and in the beginning my daughter thought she was mom. She wanted to do everything for her "baby" brother.(yes even change him). I think the hard part comes when they are teens. Wow what a difference. You can buy a toddler bed with a rail for cassidy and use the crib for "Chad". It may seem overwhelming at first but then you will get into a cycle and everything will work out great. If I can do it myself (husband works alot) then anyone can do it.
Best wishes for the family. Don't worry so much and enjoy them while they are small!

Hi Tracy,
My girls are 14 months apart (now 17 and 16) From our experience He will just blend right into the family, like he was always there, I think it is easier as they get older, It was a little tough when they were small.I prayed many nights for sanity But this to shall pass and Cassidy will be a BIG help cause at that age she can bring you a diaper/wipes and other items to help her become the BIG SISTER and this helps with the (I want mommy stage, which she will get) Don't worry there will be plenty of LOVE to go around.LOTS of Blessings to you and your Family Names : Corey,Casey or Cameron

Hi Tracy... I just had to add another "C" name to the mix for you to think about. My son is "Caleb" and he loves his name. In fact, a teacher asked the kids once if they could choose a name for themselves what would it be? My son responded "None, I like my name!" We named him after the Caleb in the Old Testament (great story if you want to look it up in Numbers - Caleb was a strong leader of Israel along with Joshua) - in English the name means "bold, leader, faithful." Our son was born in 1996 and it still is not a very common name (no worries about being a zillion out there). Congratulations and I will pray for a safe delivery for him. God bless.

Hey girl, hope you have better luck than I did because I had a son first and a daughter second and I had them almost 5 yrs. apart, which I thought would be good because she had n older brother to protect her but when our daughter got to the dating age, I don't know who was worse my husband at the time or her older brother and I do believe it was her brother and to this day he is still the same enough though my daughter lives in Georgia and my son lives in Akron. He still worries about his lil sis, son is 32 and daughter is 28, enjoy your children because before you and your hubby relaizes it , they are both grown and out on your own but then you get the joy of being a "GRANNY".

About Me: I was born and raised in Copley Township. I get up at 2 a.m. every morning and I hit the road while most people are still sleeping. This is the second time I have worked at Fox 8 News. I started here as an intern in the mid 90's while attending Kent State University. I basically started at the bottom and worked my way up. My first job at Fox 8 was ripping scripts for the Ten o'clock news and running the teleprompter for Tim Taylor and Wilma Smith. By the time I left Fox 8 for the first time I was producing the 8 a.m. morning newscast. I left for a short period of time to work on my skills as a reporter. I worked for a year and a half in Erie, Pennsylvania and spent time in Columbus before coming back to Fox 8. In 2000, Fox 8 hired me to launch Studio 8 at Summit Mall. Today, I am the morning co-anchor along side Wayne Dawson for Fox 8 News in the Morning from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. I love the fact people start their day with us. When I am out and about and I meet a viewer they always make me feel like I am part of their family. My work hours are great for raising two young children. I enjoy every minute I have with my husband, Cassidy and baby CJ. Oh, I can't forget our two big dogs Sam and Nikko.
