"Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions,  and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit.  A few of those days and you  can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world."
-Ada Louise Huxtable

The heat, humidity, and chance of pop-up thuderstorms are all still with us as we ease our way out of the holiday weekend.

With a lot of cloud cover,  limited sunshine,  and a chance of moree isolated showers and storms,  our highs will get into the mid eighties this afternoon.   It's a good idea to have both the sunglasses and the umbrella with you today.    It's going to be that kind of an afternoon.

Muggy for the  Phillies' game tonight.   Just  like yesterday, we could get a storm or a shower.

Not much changes for  Tuesday,  except  that we expect more sunshine, so the high  will probably make it  to 90-degrees.
Heat index  tomorrow could reach 100.

After another 90-degree afternoon on Wednesday, then, a cold front arrives on  Wednesday evening.  That will touch off some  stronger thunderstorm, and usher in slightly cooler and drier air for Thursday  and Friday.

Heat and humidity are back in time for the weekend.

Just back from vacation.....counting the minutes 'til my nap.......
