I just saw the news broadcast about Prince Harry fighting in the war.  There was an embargo on this information, and yet it was more important to a reporter to get a headline in the news than the well being of the Prince, England and every other country that could have been affected if he was captured by the enemy.  Here is a possible King of England, fighting the fight, and his life and the life of his fellow soldiers were put in jeporday by a news hungrey reporter.. He has since been moved out of the country. I think it is time the new media became more responsible in their reporting, start thinking about how many lives they are putting in danger by leaking such stories.  Stories that put people and countries in harms way have got to stop!!!  Some of these reporters need to get their priorities straight and start using some common sense when reporting.

I am still unemployed, I had a set back in my health and now my left arm is completely numb. My unemployment runs out in March, and I am still unable to make a complete house payment and Citi-Financial is driving me nuts. I don't know how much more I can take. My sons bought me a Chihuahua puppy for christmas trying to replace Misty and Miltilda that were lost in August.  She was purchased from a private person who is also a pastor in Philly.  I named her Grace, she is my amazing Grace. She is 3 months old and weighs 2 lbs.

I received word this week, after an intensive investigation by Labor and Industry of my previous employer,  that I have been approved for unemployment, which, along with my Social Security, I will be able to make my house payment and stall foreclosuer on my home for a few months.  My previous employer is now in some hot water as they did this to close to 100 other employees.  In my search for help, I called Senator Tomlinson, Senator Specter, Patrick Murphy, Hiliary Clinton ( because the company that I worked for was based in New York), Gov.Rendall, PECO for their programs, State Representative DiGiorlimo and several other agencies. The results I received are:

Senator Tomlinson was fantastic and kept in constant contact with me, researched every program that may be of help to me and sent me names and phone numbers.

PECO very caring and helpful and more than willing to help.

Senator Specter had no help information for me and his assistant of 20 years, was very rude and nasty.

Patrick Murphy, forget him, he was no better than Specter.

Hiliary Clinton she offered via her administrative assistant, a free Hiliary bumper sticker and didn't seem to care that a fortrune 500 company in her State is conducting illegal employment practices. I told the assistant what she could do with the bumper sticker.

Governor Rendell no help at all.

Gene DiGiorlimo was also very helpful and his office keeps in contact with me.

I am registered as an Independent and was shocked by the Democrates' lack of caring about people in trouble. I am shocked at Senator Specter's office  and Patrick Murphy's office for their lack of caring also.  They talk the talk, but do not walk the walk.

I am  66 years old, worked for a company for over 5 years and was laid off on 09/14/2007. I applied for unemployment and was refused, I am now appealing.  I contacted my State and Federal Senators, also my representative, as I am the sole support of this household of 4 and have a huge mortgage.  Do you know there is really no help out there for people like me?  It took me 10 years to get my credit back on line and the only help I found was, the government will only POSSIBLY help you once foreclosure is started. So I have to be forced into a bad credit situation to POSSIBLY stop the foreclosure.  I suffer from a clogged carroided artery on one side of my head, osteoporosis, severe arthritis and a small anyurism on the other side of my head, and now I have to try to find a job and a lawyer.  My former employer had me listed as an independent contractor, which I was not and I have proof. There is suppose to be all these agencys out there where you can go for help, there really isn't unless you are an illegal alien, a legal alien or in a manority group, there is really no help for the elderly except they tell you to sell the house you built and lived in since 1976. You tell me where is the justice in a situation like this??? Beware of the employer who tells you being 1099'd only means you do not pay taxes until the end of the year.  They never explained to me that being 1099'd meant no unemployment taxes are  paid by the company, I was told if I wanted taxes taken out of my pay to just let them know, I did several times and was told to try being 1099'd another year.  When I insisted taxes be taken out, I lost my job and so did several hundred people who worked coast to coast as pre-employment verifiers. This company is owned by former New York City police officers and a lawyer, so my chances of winning are slim. If you need help, don't count on your government, you just get red tape and bull crap.

I watched the GOP debate the other night on Fox, and I was amazed at the abortion issue and several other issues. Why in this day and age is abortion even needed??? For rape victims there is the morning after pill or an immediate d&c, what ever happen to birth control products, what ever happen to common sense? If you are going to have sex, protect yourself, if you have no protection available at the time, show a little restraint. Even if you are on welfare , you can get products to protect yourself, don't keep having children you can't afford or take care of properly, and your kids wind up in gangs with guns in their hands.  If you are a high risk person, there are ways to have a child without having to have a doctor say, an abortion is needed or one of you are going to die. I am tired of these suppossibly intelligent students that wind up putting babies in garbage cans or dumpsters. Yes a woman has the right to choose, she has the right to choose to protect herself against getting pregnant not the right to kill a fetus. If you are going to play without protection, you will pay and the child will pay dearly.

I am also shocked at just how unprotected we are against Illegal's getting into this country. Our border protection is a joke. The INS and ICS system is a joke. Some very good lessons can be learned from the former Mayor of New York. If they have been here let them stay here as long as they are working and living a fairly clean life, give them valid social security cards, if they have committed a crime, put them in jail don't deport them and  have them climb the fence again and rape another 3 year old. Let the workers have passes to work and go home at night or at the end of the picking season.

Iraq, why are we there? to liberate people who needed liberating after 40 years of Saddam's madness,and to keep more terrorism out of our country. So what do these liberated people do??? kill our guys and each other over religion and make a mockery of what we did for them. To keep track of the terrorist who are all ready in this country and plotting to kill americans, the government wants to tap phone lines etc, american's are up in arms over this, why? if you have nothing to hide, there should be no objection, they can tap my internet,my  phones and put camera's on my house, I have nothing to hide. I love my country, but I have not seen any candidate who has impressed me nor made me feel more safe if they were elected.

My friend Misty, a 9 lb Chihuahua, died on 08/11/2007. Misty was sent into cardiac arrest and was being treated with medication and was doing very well, but, the 1/4 sticks and 1/2 sticks continued. She was scared to death. I tried to get a vet, but none were available except for the emergency vet who wanted money upfront to treat her.  I am the sole support of this family and did not have that kind of money. It seems vets care more about the money than an animal. I would have been able to pay overtime but that was not an option with them. You would think in this day and age with all the Homeland Security we are suppose to have, these kind of explosives would not be available to the average citzen but they are, you would also think a more aggressive effort would be made to get the explosives and guns out of the hands of those who could use the explosives to blow up a car, or a building and god knows the illegal guns have killed over 200 people in Philadelphia so far this year. I will never forget how my friend suffered an awful death, with her lungs filling up with fluid and no one would help us. It was just a dog you will say, no she wasn't, she was my best friend and never left my side until the wee hours of the night Saturday, and now I am going to lose Matilda as she is dying from heartbreak over the loss of Misty. NOTE: Matilda died on 8/15/2007 she lost will to eat due to the loss of Misty, Matilda was a diabetic on insulin, insulin could not be given without food being eaten, she gave up the will to live do to the lost of Misty her friend. I loss both dogs 4 days apart from each other.

The state has got to not only ban the sale of fireworks, but they must ban the use of fireworks in this state, unless you have a permit and you are a professional. The kids around my area have been setting off M80's, 1/4 sticks and 1/2 sticks every night, my walls are cracking from them.
